Absolutely love the animation, I hadn't realized one could be made with so much personality and so few frames I feel like I learn something new and get inspired by every video of yours I see!!
It's funny, I had no idea this trend existed, yet around 2 years ago, I made my own redesign of Peach's sprite. Though looking back, I should probably re-redo it.
i think it's partly the attitude of the sunglasses animation. strong daisy energy. also the design changing over the years means the colour palette in the original sprite is closer to daisy than what peach looks like nowadays
Thanks! And yeah, it didn't occur to me til after but I think if I just swap around the original red/orange/white colour assignments to give a red dress and yellow hair instead - it could land into more of a Peach feel than Daisy 🤔
That's what I thought a lot of the Peach redraws were when I first saw them. They look like people's take on what Daisy from Mario Land would look like in NES/SNES sprites.
Dang, you beat me to it! 😂 Literally this morning I realized I could try to crank out a video on this while it's hot. Anyway, this is super fantastic. Love how much personality you put in there with that animation at the end
@@BJGpixel I think I'll try it. Maybe not for this Friday's video since I've got a lot I want to do in my head, so it'll be a good and ancient trend when I hop on lol
Finger Guns Gansta Peach is hilarious and awesome man. And kudos on your restraint to not take the Jessica Rabbit Peach path that some of the other creators have :P Enjoy your biz + pleasure time away
the low frame count on this sprite gives me an idea. what if you made an animation, but you tried to see how many inbetween frames you could add. eventually adding up to a 60fps+ sprite animation?
I would LOVE to see all those redrawing in the CRT, because we all forget how the CRT can distort and change the sprite. Looking at them at the CRT might show why they wouldn't work in the original game.
It was honestly great to revisit the old sprite; I don't think it's one I had paid much attention to before, so I feel like I've got a renewed appreciation for how the look has evolved 😌✨
I just rewatched your video about Hueshifting to make my isometric pixel art about a droid mechanic! I'm looking forward to putting together the palette and I've already made a sketch for the space, Good luck with this challenge, I bet you will be able to be one of the best in the event!
My theory for this trend is that her original sprite looks pretty out of pocket for modern standards so it is really inviting for reimaginings thus creating an urge in many people to try their hand in doing that. Especially considering prominent style original poster chose for their version. No wonder lots of artists wanted to explore what their own interpretation would look like
I'd love to see you redrawing all the sprites in smb1! Since you don't have the memory limitations and also because pixel art back then was in its infancy but now you could do some beautiful stuff! I mean it doesn't have to be all the spites actually, it could just be 1 frame. Imagine picking out 1 frame of smb1 gameplay and reimagining it while using the same color schemes to make something completely new!
what a great way to compare different styles of doing the same character imagine what we can learn from more of these?. with different characters. trrees. rocks. .. items. ectra. i been googling and cant find more of these :(
I saw all of this happening on Facebook. I did not think that it was going all over the Internet 😅. But this also gives me the motivation to try this myself.
If you want to go a bit more advanced, partition the sprite region into 8x8 (or 8x16) blocks and each _block_ can have its own palette of 3 colors (up to 4 palettes). Alternatively, games like SMB2 (US) and Megaman actually layered multiple sprites together to include more than just 3 colors in the sprite. Megaman's face, for example, is a separate sprite (with a separate color palette) from the rest of him.
At first, I was happy that there was a new video. Then, I was sad that it was a short one. In the end, I was grinning like your Peach because she is sooo cool! I think you should try and remove the lock of hair at the left. It is not contrasting well with her right arm, in contrast to the right-hand locks at her left arm. Especially in the animation, I can identify her pose only because I know what it's meant to be. The silhouette would also be more "refined"/"clear"/"left-oriented", imho.
I haven't actually seen a lot of Peach redraws, what I've been seeing has been NES Zelda redraws, so might be worth revisiting with the other Nintendo princess
Love the little smile your version of peach has here. Very cute!
Thanks! I really had to move the face around to make sure that'd fit but I definitely wanted it to look more friendly like that :D
Looks a lot like SMW Peach also
The finger guns are why Bowser fell in love with her.
"Thank's for trying to rescue me mario but I was just about the leave"
_glasses on_
"to another castle"
YEAAAAAAAAAAAH!
* super mario bros death sound * * super mario bros game over sound *
*OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
“Oh baby a triple!”
mom get the camera
Absolutely love the animation, I hadn't realized one could be made with so much personality and so few frames

The pixel art community is filled with this trend. So many talented artists, including you.

Nice, you were really ahead of the curve!
@@BJGpixel If you want, I can tell you when I'll be done with the new new version of my Peach sprite. I'll make a community post with it.
nake a video!
@@THEEJONESY Maybe
@@BJGpixel Oh yeah and I forgot to say, a few months ago I also started remaking Mario's sprites.
Looks a lot like daisy actually, really great art

Was gonna say the same thing
Which is fine by me, daisy is the better princess anyways
Oh no
Mario showing up to save the princess.
The princess: 👈👈 thanks, bro
Looks like Bowser... Should have found another castle.
Your videos actually inspire me to try the daunting daunting task of creating low res pixel art. You're amazing
Dang, you beat me to it! 😂 Literally this morning I realized I could try to crank out a video on this while it's hot.
Anyway, this is super fantastic. Love how much personality you put in there with that animation at the end
Haha you should do it, or try to get a jump on speculating the next trend 😅 And thanks! 👈😎👈

This is one of the most fun renditions of this meme I've seen. Love the cute smile and playful attitude!
Finger Guns Gansta Peach is hilarious and awesome man.

Haha thanks bud! Felt like the best way to pay homage to the old sprite, and give her some 'tude 👈😎👈
the low frame count on this sprite gives me an idea.
what if you made an animation, but you tried to see how many inbetween frames you could add. eventually adding up to a 60fps+ sprite animation?
the original peach redesign tweet inspired me to redraw all the characters/enemies/power ups in the game and it was a lotta fun ^_^
Your videos bring me so much joy
I finally realised you upload on Sunday's.
I havne't heard of this trend at all. This turned out really really well. love her lil finger guns at the end. lol nice lil touch there.
I would LOVE to see all those redrawing in the CRT, because we all forget how the CRT can distort and change the sprite. Looking at them at the CRT might show why they wouldn't work in the original game.
She looks cute, cool and sassy :) You gave here a lot of personality with this simple animation. Nice one!
Thanks dude! Was fun to go goofy with it, I quite liked the fun directions people have been taking for a lot of the other peaches out there 👈😎👈✨
I loved this trend. I'm very much an enjoyer of classic brunette Peach/Toadstool
It was honestly great to revisit the old sprite; I don't think it's one I had paid much attention to before, so I feel like I've got a renewed appreciation for how the look has evolved 😌✨
I never knew how much I needed "deal with it" Peach. I love it!
I saw that original post and didn't think much of it but i love little trends like this! Lets get more going.
Love to see more bite size works like this, but then again, love everything you do. Keep it square dude
Also inspired me to redraw my ancient pfp
I love the thought of Peach with this cool attitude. Like, "Mario, my bro, I knew you'd show, I was never worried, I ain't no ho."
I love that animation with the sunglasses and fingers pointing. Cool Peach is such a vibe 😎
I love it! Great work as always, man!
This is so cute, I love the princess with an attitude. 😎
That turned out so good!

I would love to see a video on your take on the hand drawn style pixel art of Yoshi’s Island!
Glad to hear you got a vacation, artists need breaks too!!
You made me want to redraw Princess Peach, love your version, very cutesy!
Ahhh, I hope you include this one in the next CRT time
I was thinking more the Fonz from Happy Days initially, but Deal With It works too.

thx for putting my sprite on the thumbnail
As someone who isn't very much into pixel art trends, but very much into your channel, I didn't know the trend and I'm happy you brought it here.
This is so creative i love it so much x)
This video inspired me to give it a shot myself
This honestly might be my favorite of this trend
Pew pew pew!

I didn’t know Peach was cool like that.

Love that. I'd like to see her redrawn in an OG Final Fantasy style.
Sunglasses is a cherry on top! :)

Great work as always, I didn’t get to the trend but I did participate in Swordtember, quite a fun challenge.
This is getting big! I think Snakepixel’s was my favorite
oh this is adorable!!
Man this would have been absolutely perfect for the CRT screen 😭 It was too good to be true, amazing video!!
Oh that was so cute!!
What I really like about this trend is to see how many different ways there are to a style in NES style.
This was such a fun trend!
"Recent memory" that video was over two and a half years ago my dude
1:23 what is that inflation artwork doing on my wholesome brandon james greer video 💀
Haha Dope! Awesome as always, but I'm waiting for your annual Star Wars redraw ❤😅
Thanks dude! Yeah I'm still planning that one - it's gonna be the 10th year 😱
@@BJGpixel Wow! 10 years! So it must be a special one! 😁🙃

I love the idea of keeping the same restrictions

its just now hitting me. smb1 peach and some rerdraws give me Daisy vibes. you know daisy would fingergun
This is giving me strong "Code Monkeys" vibes with the sunglasses and finger guns lol.
2,3,8,9 look the best for redesigns imo.
As someone who prefers the 80s/90s era of Peach, this trend has been really nice
Lovely!
Bro that is so funy haha
Everywhere i go.
*NES Princess Peach Redraw*
I see his face.
That's so cute! You give her much more personality than Nintendo ever has...
CRT TH-cam Short when you get home!
Ha! Nice.
Moving to the country, gonna draw me a lot of Peaches…
I wear my sunglasses in dungeons
That was surprisingly funny.
Love her attitude 😎
It's funny that you mentioned you might be the only one still doing this trend, since AdamCYounis posted a video about it at the exact time you did 😂
The justin_cyr one is smash
"Hey! Thanks for saving me dude!"
Как всегда, ты замечателен.
I got to this trend a bit late and decided to reinterpret sonic instead. It got 10 likes on bluesky so I got that going for me, which is nice.
Yeah, I noticed this was going on with different people that I keep up with across X I was like what’s going on 😂
i was wandering what our game progress
Only complaint I have is that the glasses and finger guns feels like its a daisy mannerism more than a peach one.
That's daisy. You can't tell me otherwise.
Surreal seeing my art in the results at 1:19 😄
I saw these all over reddit, was unsure what was going on. lol.
I hate how I only hear about this NOW of all times.
the original peach looks like fire peach
Justin Cyr is a wizard
Pew pew
will we get a bonus cameo from peach in the next CRT time?
