I have this memory of the earlier Type S marketing from Acura stating the car would be "over 400 horsepower", but if that was true, I can't find evidence of it now (it may have been youtuber speculation). But I'm still disappointed the car doesn't already come with 400hp. I was genuinely hoping for something that would compare well to a Lexus RC F (or GS F) with its 477hp (comparing well doesn't mean beating it, just in the ballpark). Instead, it seems Acura had their sights set firmly on a lower target.
It's a very good looking car, and will likely sell pretty well for Acura. I'd love to see a jazzed up version too, with both an HP and a cosmetic upgrade of some sort (spoiler and diffuser, that kind of thing). They could make something that appeals to wealthier buyers who like the car and would like it to look more sporty (as opposed to classy). Shrug.
Disclaimer: I own an Acura, but it has significantly more horsepower than this.

This is a big change because of the Acura V6 engines were of the J-series single overhead camshaft V6 engines which have been used since the mid 1990's. This is a production-based 3.0 Liter V6 turbocharged engine and it should be interesting to see if Honda Performance Development can use this engine in the 24 hours of Le Mans and World Endurance Championship as the Honda HR28TT twin turbocharged V6 and Honda HR35TT twin turbocharged V6. The Acura NSX has 3.5 liter twin turbocharged double overhead camshaft V6. I'm looking forward to see the what the Honda tuners have in store for this V6 engine.

The Type-S launch control system likely improves the transmission logic on launch, and in fact uses the twin scroll turbo to increase then maximize boost pressure specifically at launch rpm.
Then, I doubt anyone attempted to launch the car using the parking brake, a classic method known to improve numbers.

You are one company that I would 100% trust when it comes to engine that can rev to 8000-9000rpm. You have accumulated such knowledge over the years and that is what made Honda stand out. I know there is a reason why turbo is instead being used over letting engine to run faster. However, I would someday want to see those engines coming back.
