I thank you for that, however that being said, hands down, without question I can listen to Avi talk for hours!! His talks are over am hour and feel like 10min. His mind and thought process is 👏. AMAZING AS ALWAYS!! You bring on people who have really nothing to gain apart from sharing wisdom(They're not trying to sell us anything or gain business) which makes it so much more impactful... they don't even have to share as much as they do. theres so many out there contradicting eachother, but your circle are all similar.. my 7month Mali, iv always been told not to let my dog free to sniff everything (""it takes the dog away from the handler and teaches them to be independent"") well since I watched this Iv went out a few times and done 5mins obedience on local field, then walked around the field randomly with a toy if she wanted, an hour with her free to roam, stop, chill, run, walk, lay down (10m lead dragging just incase needed) First half she doing her own thing, sniffed every scent around, but the second half she was coming checking in every 20-30seconds and wanting to play. Then a little sniff ect. 😂 the most honest engagement Iv had from her compared to all the engagement games ect. (she found a deflated ball, so once she realised I wasn't going to take it away, we played with it, same with a plastic bottle.)

@@RobertCabralDogs listening to this for the second time I was thinking about his questioning of socialising. I'm from hunting dog background but now have my Mali. So my eldest cocker wasn't socialised as a pup in urban areas she was only on fields and forest but I can walk her anywhere and she's fine...I had 2 young cocker sisters (second I got at about 6months as owner struggled) both not socialised in urban environment because I was so focused on the hunt training. Both can handle any normal environment. One is currently with my mother-in-law (cockers 2½) is going to drop kids at school/pub/urban areas but she was never introduced to that as a pup.
The main example I have is that I looked after a working Labrador for 6months who belonged to a gamekeeper who had lost his job and had to move off the estate. So the dog had grew up on the estate, never left the area, lived in kennels, his whole life was within the work of the grounds. I was able to take the lab to playparks/through town/along high traffic areas but up until this point he had never been exposed to anything outside the grounds of the estate.
      I live in the UK

A question for AVI on a past podcast he mentioned a test made to one of his dogs, and that he would breed him because of the positive result of such a test, what's the name of that test? and he also mentioned he would share the results if asked, How could I get a hold of those? I would like to see them. I think it was Larry King who said that to be a great interviewer is not about to be asking or be talking but to be a great listener, Robert, you are a great interviewer, one of the best on youtube, not only you ask great questions on the perfect timing but you are a great listener, you don't interrupt or cut abruptly, it is very annoying to see podcasts where the guest is getting on a great point and they interrupt him or do not let him continue, the conversation gets cut, you don't get to hear what was the point about and they switch to a another thing most times very boring. So thank you Roberts for such amazing podcasts.

How old was the young dog when Avi took him? With Avis's clear admiration & attachment with this new dog...HE'S going to be SPECTACULAR! All Avi's curiosity about where this inherent lack of suspicion/fear in this dog...I'm so curious too. I KNOW Avi looks so closely at genetics & bloodlines, I have a hard time believing Avi could learn more about the last 3 generations that went into the new dog, but I feel like there's still some mystery in his new dog's genes. I DO wonder (and this would probably sound crazy to Avi), but I DO WONDER if there may have been some REAL (serious) "Service Dogs" in the bloodline? I am developing a hunch that when GSDs with a true talent for REAL "Service Work" are bred back into protection sports lines, you get any extremely confident dog. AVI: IF YOU FIGURE IT OUT MORE, LET US KNOW!❤ This was a very fun & interesting interview. Please come back & let us know how this new dog does!! And Happy New Year (little late, lol)!😘😘😘

@@avicohen6112 REAL "Seeing Eye" Dogs and such are "real working dogs" Avi! I've found that GSDs with some actual, no BS "Service Dogs" for actual disabled people in the heritage seem to be a nice mix, produce CONFIDENT GSDs. A little less suspicious, a little more able to tolerate strange/new things. But it's only a couple anecdotes on my end. But that's why I wondered. Nothing wrong with a "Suspicious" GSD...produces many extremely fine Protection, Police, & Sports Dogs. But REAL "Service Dogs" CAN'T be overly suspicious. A truly, for real, EXTREMELY confident, naturally "unshakeable" GSD already has half of what it truly takes to be an excellent service dog. I AM SO HAPPY YOU FOUND THIS GUY!!❤😍❤😘😘😘❤😜

@justinmcintyre9648 Sorry, your comment makes no sense. The Pedigree is already known with multiple 1st Place World Championships. There is no need to tell anyone about the name. The advertising was for the birth of the litter. And the puppies went extremely fast over a year ago. Your comment is quite late. We live over a thousand miles from a major city, and that's why the word was spread farther out. We had people traveling very long distance to come and have a chance to get ond of our puppies, but there wasn't enough to go around for all the interest and several people had to be put on a waiting list.
