    Want to make your own procreate brush? In today's video, I am going to show you how to make a three-line, "spaghetti" style brush using Procreate 5's new brush engine which you can also transform into repeating lines of dots as well! This brush is great for making patterns or even backgrounds for coloring books! Thanks to Sonia V. for suggesting the topic covered in this video!
    Let me know in the comments what you would like to see covered in upcoming episodes...you might see your idea come to life!

    Fantastic thanks. SO many brushes and procreate videos are very similar, here we get an unusual brush and it's super useful. I was trying to do this but with a rough edge (debaser rusty nib) multi line brush, I couldn't quite figure it out it's my first go at making any brush. In the end I had to make a straight pattern and warp it to get the curves I wanted but this obviously distorted the shapes edges but I could live with that.

    The video is terrific, as always ... Of course, mine turned out wrong. I believe I followed each step. Watched the video about 5 times. My brush results in the dots being too close together. I carefully measured the dots using the grid (about grid 4 boxes wide, 1 grid box spacing). And the lines insist on having a glow effect (kinda smudgy). That glow renders before any of the properties were tweaked, and the glow doesn't go away. I checked the edge and wet settings. Shoot me...

  • @Frezingshorts
    @Frezingshorts 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for this brush, it turned out almost like yours except when I want to drop in a colour on each line it automatically fills in the 3 lines. Can you help? Thanks

  • @Dulcilady
    @Dulcilady 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don’t have some of the settings options that you have such as streamlining under properties. I just today redownloaded procreate so I should think it would be the most recent version. Using iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Gen

  • @paolapieretti6832
    @paolapieretti6832 ปีที่แล้ว

    Might be a little too late but for those in the comment section saying there was a glowy/halo effect in the brush, here’s how I solved it.
    1. Create a 2000 x 2000 px canvas for your shape ( I did 5000x5000 like in the video, so my brush thumbnail got the grayish square behind it, which caused the glowy effect later on - it’s barely visible when you upload the shape - you can check in the size slider button if it shows or not)
    2. Take all opacity/pressure settings from a normal round hard edge brush first of all to use as a base for the circles ( and the new brush later )
    3. Make sure it’s pure black and white (#ffffff and #000000)
    Hope it helps

    I followed this tutorial to make this brush. I have two problems with this brush. 1/ When I release my pencil from the screen, it leaves two dots at the end of each line. 2/ I cannnot work out how to colour each line individually, the colour drop applies the same colour to both lines. I also made a three line version of this brush and have the same problems. I am using the new iPad Pro 13 inch 2024 release and the latest version of Procreate.

  • @beauteoussounds1156

    Can you increase the space between the three lines? I’m thinking you would just start with a thinner line(?)

    • @BeeJayDeL
      @BeeJayDeL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could increase the space between the lines by increasing the size between the circles in the first step.

    • @BeeJayDeL
      @BeeJayDeL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure I understand the question...if you are the one making the brush, why are you needing to export it and then import it? The brush you made will be there in Procreate already???

    • @patriciac6756
      @patriciac6756 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patricia C 1. Turn iPad horizontally. Because if you do it vertically in the Shape section you don’t see the voice “edit” you need to click before you import your file. You are trying to import a brush (obviously you don’t have on files)

I was able to actually do your tutorial but had trouble putting a new name to my brand new creation. I was able to go to the info place on the brush creation and put a name but it didn’t change it on the actual brush side still saying it is untitled brush. Maybe I need to log out of my iPad and restart and it might show up? How do you do it? Thanks for saving me tons hours trying to figure out this wonderful new art program.

    While taping the screen with the pancil i get like a messy 5 dots. anyway of fixing that messing part. Also I cant change the color of each line is there a way to fix that issue?

      Tapping won’t give you the desired effect-it’s a moving brush. As far as coloring the lines...it’s either you are using it in too small of a canvas, using too small of a brush size, or made it on too small of a canvas to begin with.

      I'm new to all this, so currently watching videos before I get started.
      But you could try making a stamp brush.

    I might just be shouting into a void but, if anyone sees this, I really need a brush thats like the one where you combine two and make one smaller to make it a kind of “outline” brush, but I want it where the lines are autocolored and the color you control is the one in the middle…. Idk does this make sense?😭

    How can I give the brush a title?

    • @BeeJayDeL

      Click on the brush and when the brush menu comes up, click on “Rename.”

    I've been trying to create a brush that has a chainmail effect for ages, I draw a lot of medieval stuff and chainmail is a pain.........

    Btw just a tip. You don’t need to explain to have none or 0 on every. Single. Feature. Just say. Everything off here and move on. Or demonstrate quickly. Otherwise awesome vid. I love this brush
