A great president who projected strength wisdom and character. It may sound cliche but it’s true. Many if not most of today’s politicians are skin deep and just place holders.
I was 11yrs old... Watched this live with my mom... mutually assured destruction... Little did I know a few years down the road I'd be listening to Megadeth and hear that phrase Mutually Assured Destruction... Full circle my mom a few years back traveled to Iceland and toured the Hotel Reagan/Gorbachev met to come to these agreements.... wild
The relations between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (1922-1991) succeeded the previous relations from 1776 to 1917 and predate today's relations that began in 1992. Full diplomatic relations between the two countries were established late (1933) due to mutual hostility. During World War II, the two countries were briefly allies. At the end of the war, the first signs of post-war mistrust and hostility began to appear between the two countries, escalating into the Cold War; a period of tense hostile relations, with periods of détente.
My God we fell quick after this. Clinton was the turning point of a major decline in our values, prestige, strength. Never really recovered after that.
Id say we are at the lowest point in our Nation's history with respect to Him. This false president is a signal that He is not happy with us. So be it. Perhaps there will be another person so dedicated to hope and the Constitution and the American dream that will be our salvation here on Earth if He won't.
Too bad our president won't tell us about his conversations with other world leaders. Instead we have to hear from China on the phone call with our president.
All Reagan was good for was eating jelly beans and dozing off during Cabinet Meetings. After Joe Biden, Reagan was the most senile President in my lifetime. 😂
