It’s kinda cool to see what life is like in Pyongyang but it’s always important to remember that it is not the reality for most North Koreans. The only people who live in Pyongyang are those who have proven to be loyalists and have enough money to live there. Those outside of Pyongyang consider Pyongyang to be like a separate country. No signs. No colors. No decorations. No text on buildings. No architectural variety. No variety, at all. North Korea truly has god-tier level Adblockers.
Literally 19 seconds in and I already see text. Just because you can't recognize the korean alphabet doesn't mean it's not there. It is true that it's architectually bleak, but that's because most of the city was remodeled after the soviets (infamous for their soulless architecture made for efficiency) because 75% of Pyongyang was destroyed in the Korean War so they had to rebuild with Soviet assistance.
We Germans say : „ Zebrastreifenschild „ to it , you can See it on 1:54 🥲 i was surprised. You can die on so many things in Nordkorea , but they have an „ Zebrastreifenschild „ .
Fascinating. I can't help but wonder where everyone is going and what they're doing. I'm always surprised by the wide streets and lack of electrical poles in the few videos I've seen from Pyongyang, quiet a contrast from other major cities in the region.
The wide streets are easier to send military equipment through, and they also make it easier to repress a popular revolt. That's also why Paris has grand boulevards.
Interesting that the norm seems to be for bicycles to be ridden on the sidewalks, which are full of pedestrians, even though the streets are wide and with very little car traffic.
There are not many bicycle lanes in Pyongyang, the road I passed in this video does not have a special bicycle lane, the law in North Korea is that we are not allowed to ride a bicycle when crossing, we must get off the bicycle when crossing. In this video my friend and I are also discussing "should we cycle on the sidewalk or on the road, because sometimes we are prohibited from cycling on the sidewalk and sometimes we are prohibited from cycling on the road".
Thank you for this rare opportunity to take a sneak peak into North Korea from the inside. It looks way much better than I expected, even though there are only a few shades of grey everywhere. Great job!

The only perk of being to poor to afford cars is that bicycles are safe on the road. This city looks like a different reality when you realize all the people there have no access to the outside world. People are dressed in dark and dull colors and military officials can frequently be seen on the sidewalks. 8:38 These types of shops are apparently common in Pyongyang. You can see there's 0 ads. Overall the city looks very depressing.
That kind of a shop is very convenient when there are so many pedestrians. It's also nice to see children walking around the city on their own. Lack of ads looks clean. Being a pedestrian is otherwise nice, but the sidewalks are a bit crowded. The roads are also way too wide, but luckily they are almost empty. Using a wheelchair would be terrible, though. You can see a bit of colour at 4:30. It's not all bad.
Like the rainbow vomit makes people smile in our cities? lol Also people dress in dull dark or grey clothes here too - cuz they'll have to do laundry more frequently if they wore bright colors.
Sukses selalu bro
Only young men and women of the GREAT COUNTRY OF INDONESIA dare to make & capture videos like this in the COUNTRY OF NORTH KOREA and not cause problems, thank you for sharing your experience 🇮🇩🇰🇵
I love seeing so many people walking on what look to be very safe and clean streets. The fact that you can see kids walking alone says a lot; you don't get that in a lot of US cities. Even in a walkable city like the one I live in, car drivers speed and it can be really dangerous for pedestrians -- someone in a wheelchair was just recently hit near where I live by someone going through a red light. I'd be interested to know what part of the city this is and how widespread pedestrian & cyclist infrastructure is.
awsome roads and so clean. Amazing!
Pentingnya jadi negara non-blok....
unbelievable how clean the streets are...
In dictatorships there are always clean roads.
If you don't have anything it's hard to produce garbage
I don't get why people are hating lol here in the UK and in America the streets are full of homeless people there is rubbish piled up and dumped everywhere there are cars absolutely everywhere I go out with my dog and see multiple areas with used needles strewn across the floor on the weekends there is always puddles of vomit on the ground from people drinking excessively like this place looks great man
It is called "the modern western world"
@Bone_Thug I actually live in the UK lol read it properly I said HERE in the UK and that actually sounds better than this pathetic country full of depression and misery and what you think that vomit on the floor and used needles everywhere isn't such a bad thing, i guess you don't have children
You have to be the dumbest guy on earth the people there are literally homeless no work they eat and drink from puddles only a few even in the capital have a kinda good life there. Maybe you use your brain next time, think about why there is no trash on the streets or any bin to put trash in? Because they nearly dont have anythinh in north korea
Sangat Luar biasa
Dziękuję za udostępnienie ciekawych filmów z Korei Północnej 🇰🇵
Slava Ukraine!! 🇺🇦
Wait you can videotape in North Korea? That's impressive :O
This guy specifically is allowed to film. I think he works at an embassy? Don't quote me on that
Anyone allowed to film mist definitely has either 'staged' material or is only allowed to share approved material. In other words, this has to be propaganda.
@@FrankieJazzFoxby saying this is propaganda im guessing you're murican lol, there's nothing has to do with propaganda here
City looks much better comparing to 2004. Thanks
Suasananya kayak taun 60-70 an.Tapi tata kotanya bagus banget
