As far as i can tell, you are having as a course Computational Theory. Infinite Automata & Turing Machines are something else. Had them last year with a very strict professor, it didnt go very well for the students hahaha. But i really hope you do great in your classes. May i ask where do you wanna specialise in ? (Robotics, Graphics, Cybersecurity etc. )
Yes, in our case it's called "intro to theoretical CA" so idk if it'll be as hard as the course you took, but my teacher is really great so it definitely helps. He's also very strict, but he's strict on the concepts rather than the questions themselves if that makes sense... he likes to compare the topic to getting your drivers license 🤣 love it!! I'm not sure yet what I want to specialize in because I have very broad interests, but I do have a personal project that will combine robotics and deep learning, so I'm pretty excited about that!
@@e_velog It's great that you have a good professor and to be honest being strict in a good way is exactly how i want a professor to be ! Well.... our course wasn't an Introduction, we pretty much covered everything. Things got out of controll when we started the Turing Machine chapter, we covered hard concepts that most students gave up and from 200 we were only 50 who kept going in classes😂. Deep Learning and Robotics sounds great !!! I am going to pick my direction next semester. It was hard for me as well to find exactly what i wanted but now i am sure for Artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis.
