I find it funny that Liara is so snarky about giving up your weapons when she relies on them the least of the whole squad, to the point where she doesn't even bother to draw her gun in that cutscene. I guess she doesn't want to have to carry the entire team with her biotics while Shepard and the other squadmate are stuck with "colorful language".
After playing Noveria with multiple squadmates, I've found that I prefer Liara and Wrex as my companions, especially for the Rachni encounter: Wrex BECAUSE it's the Rachni, and Liara since we're facing her mother Benezia.
Also, the reaction to the Rachni making noises when you first encounter them is funny too! Liara: “What was that?” Wrex: “Probably debris, don’t have a panic attack, I’ll protect you.” Lol!
Wow, last play through i spent 15 hours in Noveria port, to save/reload all possible dialogue variations, quest routes, or simply walking around, enjoying atmosphere and music. This is by far my favorite planet in ME1. From my experience, Wrex and Liara is a must have here, both for dialogues and lore reasons. The only exception is to bring Tali/Garrus while raiding office, for their dialogue with sergeant Stirling, and Tali when you enter garage for bonus dialogue about geth evolution. Considering that you can always return to the ship to swap squadmates, it is possible to explore all those dialogues without missing out on anything. You can even go as far as Benezia boss fight, and still have ability to go back aaaall the way to the Normandy and swap a teammate again, if you wish. And even then, after 5 walkthrough, i still never heard that unique line about Earth from Anoleis. Simply because i never chosen earthborn origins.
Love Noveria and all the different possibilities. One of the highlights of ME1 for sure, just completed it for my 4th run through the trilogy. Thanks again for putting these compilations together! PS - Maeko Matsuo is bae.
Noveria’s theme music is specially nostalgic when I first heard it. Because it reminds me of those classic PS1 Spyro games that I used to play all of the time on my PS1 back then, where a couple of their tracks are similar to this one.
I don't think I've ever taken Liara on this mission. I usually just bring Wrex +1 with me just because it seems thematically appropriate to bring a Krogan against the Rachni.

Noveria ost is just so cozy. I could fall asleep with this zzz
I didn't recognise at first, but Maeko Matsuo's voiced by Kim Mai Guest; Mei Ling (Metal Gear) & Professor Ellen Anders (Halo Wars).

Duh!
Wrex in ME3 also says he was there to see how Shepard dealt with the rachni queen, so it's kinda canon

Will you do videos of Noveria featuring all of Shepard's choices?
Do you mean the major ones or every conversation in general?
Since I love all the conversations on Noveria, any that you wish to post will make me happy.

Anoleis is such a liquid fart.
He's supposed to be.
@williamkerfoot8039 yeah sure

Sure, but canonically you don't KNOW the Rachni are there.
@CyberLink70 never hurts to bring a Krogan on a mission. Just in case some bugs need genociding.
@@windwind3170just bring krogan everywhere - my solution
@@CyberLink70 So what?
@@windwind3170The Rachni deserve better than you!
Excuse me what?
