- In this episode of Reactions on the Rocks...where we have a drink and watch a fun show...we are reviewing Rick and Morty S3 E9! Rick and Beth sort out issues from her childhood by visiting a world called Froopy Land. Morty and Summer are a little wary of Jerry's new girlfriend.

I hate froopy land too this episode was gross.
I love Rick's line, "Certified fresh" as a review of Tommy's little play.

Yeah, that line was so cringe and almost ruined the episode for me. This episode also ruined Beth's character in my opinion. Beth is a sociopath now? OK.
The problem is you have to have a very high I.Q. to watch this show, and at least a solid grasp on physics

@The Infinity Sock pretty sure it was already clear why she wanted them, she was literally asking for items to stalk friends and force people to be friends with her. He made froopyland because child Beth is a sociopath, and didn’t want to keep cloning kids every time Beth didn’t like one.

If Rick has a fatal flaw it is that he can't say "no" to Beth or the kids. At least he admits he's a whack job.

@@danielkeveles9211 He says no if it causes inconvenience for him. But if it is not, it does not matter to him. As he said, when he let Beth go out to play, he didn't care that Beth "killed" her less polite kid neighbors. Eventually, he made Froopyland because he was just tired of making clones everytime Beth did it.
@@seriyooow310 Yeah, that kind of "no" is just him grumbling over having to set aside what he'd rather be doing at that moment.
Morty, Summer, and Beth all know by now that his initial refusals won't stand, and they don't even need to nag him very much to get their way.

The titles are usually(always?) plays on movie titles. ABCs of Death is an anthology movie where each story is a different horror short made by different directors where each story is a letter.
@@johnj4471 I know that the episode's titles are references to movies. My comment is just a thought of mine that came up into my mind when I saw the title.
After every season they would have to negotiate the next season. Finally, they decided they would negotiate a multi-year contract, and now they have that in place, so they will have more regular episodes.

the introduction of Clone Beth
Just to give you guys a hint. The creator of this show hates certain tropes in serialized TV shows. He also hates when fans expects this show to follow patterns of other shows. He makes fun of them constantly.he ignores when people go I can't wait to see where this storyline goes. He picks at fans of this show a lot and they love it. Remember you might not get what you want with this.
That’s why it’s so ridiculous when people have these theories constantly that counter anything he’s said. The clone reveal was meant to show something about rick in the s4 finale and the people are making theories that counter what the reveal said. It’s like people just need to stop with these theories because they’d generally wrong and typically involve the very things the creators hate.

@@volo455 nope , it was 4x03 "One Crew Over the Crewcoo's Morty" , found that one extremely boring which also proves their point of heist shows being boring af 😂, thats an episode that will definitely skip in a re-watch.

i dont think that rick made a clone, since in a earlier episode he smashed all his clones, he also needs a morty if he wanna go somewere and i dont think he would go trought the trouble of cloning himself a morty and a beth in the saem day, he himself said that he rather keep beth secured so she wouldt need to clone everyone on the neightborhood, and he killed the guy coming for jerry, a clone rick wouldt have cared. But above else what reason would he have to do that hes just fine with morty and his adventures.
What I wonder is why rick made a bubble gun without air knowing that normally it would probably bother beth in any other situation.
Maybe originally it was to protect Jerry. The bubble gun seems to coat you in a protective bubble and Jerry is Accident Prone and Rick would intentionality leave out the air as he doesnt care about Jerry that much.

The clone of Beth question is dealt with in the latest season. Dealt with in traditional Rick and Morty style.
That wasn’t a clone of Rick. No one knows if that was a clone of Beth. Also Beth wouldn’t care about Keara
This is probably one of the most fucked up stories in the series, for me personally. How Beth didn't care about her "friend", how his life was an absolute hell just to survive, how his family suffered, feels like a super fucked up sci fi short.
I'm with Kacee with this one. It was a disturbing let down from the previous episodes. Unfortunately, it's like there was a change in the writers or something. Episodes from here on weren't as good in my opinion.
