Our food bank is like that too! Sometimes they give you things, but usually you can walk through and choose your own. It's very convenient. Definitely less waste.

Only fruit I was offered this trip was canned & fresh grapefruit I don't normally eat the canned fruit I like grapefruits but they didn't look too fresh this time so hopefully next time I go there's more fruit 🍎 options yes I'm truly grateful & blessed Amen 🙏🏿 God is so AMAZING! I went to a very small pop up pantry today. I got 2 bags fresh asparagus, 2 big cartons mushrooms, 12 waters, chocolate chip cookies, croissant bread, chabata bread, sourdough bread,
It is a blessing for them to be there Yet they're giving out food that's getting ready to expire or already expired. I've been lucky so far I haven't had that resort to that. And even if I did I don't think I would go because I don't do expired foods.
