    Good evening, I have a query, thank you for your support,
    I bought a MaxiTPMS TS508 and bought four new sensors (two pairs of different brand and model), but I could not program them, the scanner did not recognize any new sensor, instead the sensors that my hyundai Elentra Turing 2010 has, the rear sensors did not work and now I can't take the TPMS light off it.
    Something similar happened to you
    How could I contact you for a question or someone from your audience that something similar has happened to him.
    Thanks in advance

      Autel has a tech support line that you can contact in your region. Go to Autel.com>support. My guess is the sensors you purchased are blank and are not compatible with the TS508. I recommend the Autel MX Sensor, VDO, John-Dow, Ori-Tech, or OE sensors.

    • @FlashPerformance

      That depends on the vehicle. If you have a display on the dash that shows the tire position and the tire pressure, then you would need to relearn the positions after each rotation.

    • @4xAbuse
      @4xAbuse 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Relearn vs Unlock is important to differentiate. I just got a TS508 yesterday to 'activate' a VDO Redi-Sensor SE10003A that I installed in a wheel for a 2005 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Come to find out now that the new VDO sensor is installed, that my TS508 doesn't see it. VDO tech support says that while it's 'Redi' like OEM, it has to be 'Unlocked' first and that requires a more high-end specialty tool, such as a Bartec, Ateq, Snap-On, etc... VDO tech support also says that they 'may' work out of the box and be recognized by this tool, but not if they're installed and driven on first. But it's still a crap shoot at best, according to them if you'll need a better scan tool or not, even if you don't install and drive on it first.

    • @StilettoSniper
      @StilettoSniper 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@4xAbuse After you purchased the Redi-Sensor, who did the initial programming on it? Because you can't with any Autel TPMS tool. Autel TPMS tools can only program Autel MX sensors out of the box. VDO tech support should have told you this immediately instead of feeding you a crock of bullshit about unlocking their sensors.

    • @4xAbuse
      @4xAbuse 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StilettoSniper It's been a couple of years now, so it's hard to remember the details exactly. No one did an initial programming on it though. It was marketed as being 'Redi', so no special tools, etc. Seemed like I'd used one previously that was just like that. I installed and it just worked. I went to a couple of local shops to see if they could 'wake it up' or if they had one of the recommended tools and no one seemed to have seen that issue...
      I've since run into an interesting situation on a Dorman for an '08 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It would transmit the pressure, but wouldn't communicate with the location sensor in any of the vehicle's 3 wheel wells. They sent me a new one and it was the same. Would work fine in the driver's side rear (no location sensor in the wheel well), but would trigger a location error if moved to any of the other 3 positions. Finally just replaced it with an OEM and it has worked fine since. Dorman couldn't understand why the part they recommended for that application wouldn't work, so they sent me the OEM one in exchange.

    Hi, install new sensors to my 2013 Tacoma Autel TPMS MX-Sensor 315MHz 433MHz. I have a MAXITPMS 508 scanner, I reprogrammed them, I installed them by obd, the installation was successful, the message but. When I am in the parking lot where I live, the light turns on as if a sensor were bad or a tire and when I go out of the building to the street outside the parking lot where I live. The light goes out . that always happens to me. the air pressure was fine. The Sensors tells the scanner that all 5 are fine. I did the reprogramming of the sensors more than once and that always happens to me. only where I live in the building park. because the light turns on the screen only in the parking lot of the building. I wait for an answer. They are in the correct position.

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the Drivers door there is a placard sticker that shows what each tire should be inflated to, make sure that your tire pressure matches that sticker. Second would be checking the accessories you have in the vehicle. I have seen aftermarket back up cameras, and other wireless accessories mess up the signal from the sensors causing interference and a light to come on.

    2017 Honda Pilot Touring support?

    • @FlashPerformance
      @FlashPerformance  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      2017 is still pretty new. The relearn procedure is not in the tools as of yet. However you can still replace the sensors by using copy by activation. Here is the info from the Autel website www.maxitpms.com
      Relearn Procedure:
      1. Relearn method is not yet supported. Only Copy is available.
      2. You can use one of the following three methods to copy according to the actual situation ? Firstly, copy by activation. Secondly, copy by OBD read IDs. Thirdly, copy by manual input the OEM sensor IDs (You need to notice the data format is decimal or hexadecimal).
      This can be done with the TS508, TS608, MS906TS, and copy by activation can be done with the TS408

    This precess can be done with any repair tire shop but, It doesn't . Only big company like pepboys, firestone can work and program tire sensor. Any automotive repair shop worth a shit that employs competent mechanics can handle replacing, programming and relearning TPMS nowadays, as long as they have a TPMS tool that is compatible with the sensors in question. Places like PepBoys and chain stores like Firestone and Walmart usually hire the bottom of the barrel grease monkeys, I would not let them get near my vehicles.
