When HD was new and there wasn’t much high def content (around 2006 - 2007), there were a few channels dedicated to just being in HD. One was “Kung Fu HD” which aired a lot of Zatoichi episodes. I loved it.
The Ski lift scene really did change my life. I was going through loss and PTSD from an accident this helped me to forgive others and myself as well and start healing. my life changed... but it didn't stop. But still, part of me was missing. I don't know. Like there were two Nicks. One before and one after that day. I wanted to be... home. To come home. It's funny. I knew I had to find you so I could say: "Hey, I forgive you. Move on." But you know, it wasn't just for you... it was for me, too.
I know what living with PTSD is like. I hope and pray you find the healing and peace you need. Sending you a big e-hug and wishing you all the best. Merry Christmas XO
Fun fact: The Japanese swordsman is played by the legendary Sho Kosugi, ninjutsu master from the classic 80s ninja movies Enter the Ninja, Revenge of the Ninja, and Ninja III: The Domination.
@@thisdude9363 That's not what I said. Sure, bullet is faster than a blade. But what I was saying is that if the sword user knows what they are doing, the other people seem to magically get cut before they know what is happening.
Great 80s Action flick Rutger Hauer RIP. Another Rutger Hauer Movie action movie is Wanted: Dead or Alive. Make it a double feature for a great movie night.
What i like best was how he was able to pull off acting blind.... there have been a few movies like this but the actors just give away that they are using their sight....I swear they must have put contacts in to make him blind in some scenes
why does he run and crawl over EVERY ITEM HE CAN SEE?? xD I mean he even runs up a ladder even tho there is nothing on top - I love it ;D Real good actor tho, remember him from my youth
hutger hauer, assisti varios filmes seus, que voce descanse em paz, os anos 80 foi lindo e voce fez com que ele se tornasse ainda melhor, fica com Deus grande ator
If you like Blind Fury, there's like 26 Zatoichi movies which are also incredible.
God, I loved that franchise. I'm hoping one day they make a movie, over here in the U.S., about it. Hopefully, not botch it up either on it.
@@antonionunez3759 Blind Fury basically is Zatoichi US adaptation.
@@samael_grey That's probably the closest to it. I agree 👍🏼 💯 %

More like a hundred
"im gonna take my 468-shot revolver and go up front, you stay behind me with your uzi and just give single shots."
god damn, i love the 80's/90's.
believe it or not but there are semi automatic uzis. open bolt semi automatic only ones can go for as much as transferable machine gun uzis.
Like all those bullets just sparking off the lockers, and no holes anywhere
The 80s another legend of an actor.
Rutger Hauer in the movie called "Split second" is another goodie to watch!
i confirm good 90s scifi/dystopian film
"we gotta get bigger guns"
Holy crap I was NOT ready for that Darth Maul ending!

I love how he tries to silently crawl through lots of furniture and music instruments, but makes a lot of noise and even hits the bass drum lol.

He was awesome in Lady Hawk!
With movies like Lady Hawk and Blade Runner under his belt, making ones like this is an actual tragedy.
Navarra
@@corwyncorey3703 Pues las ha hecho mucho peores. Esta no la veo tan mal.
Epic Rutger Hauer! RIP
In the 80s we really knew how to make lockers. And hey, George Lucas obviously loved the ending.
Tempting though it may be, NEVER trapeze swing over an electrified hot tub.
“I also do circumcisions”, another great line from this 80s gem 😂
Great flick...I don't care what anyone says. Rutger Howard...hes great in Blade Runner too!
Rutger Hauer.
What made the movie memorable for sure.
Vyw
Rutger Hauer should've Won an Oscar for Bladerunner.
Watch his films ,,Hitchhiker,, and ..In a matter of seconds, that's a classic.
A typical 80s action movie. Crony and cool at the same time.
Rutger Hauer was a poet that could act
And there you have the inspiration for Darth Maul's death! LOL
Yeap!!!
I had the same thought
yeah, definitely Lucas got it from there.
This movie prepped us for Maul's "death"
I love it how guys with guns just run into his katana 😂
When you are good, that's how it looks like. And I say this is one time practicant of completely another sword art.
@@JarkkoHietaniemiSwords do not beat guns. Sorry bud.

9:17 Dude got Darth Mauled before Darth Maul.
I've been trying to find the staff sword since the movie came out. I still laugh at the driving scene after 35 years. 🤣
- ‘Are you blind?’
- ‘Yeah. What’s your excuse?’
I love his goofy facial expressions.
Great film. Good acting by Rutger Hauer.
Great 80s Action flick Rutger Hauer RIP. Another Rutger Hauer Movie action movie is Wanted: Dead or Alive. Make it a double feature for a great movie night.
I probably have seen this film a few dozen times. Probably seen every film this actor made. Thanks
Sho Kosugi is in the house!
wow They had some dope sword fights back then.
Hobo with a shotgun was his best ever movie.
That was a weird ass movie but it was good
Dunno about best ever, but damn it's good
I adore this movie. It's campy as hell but just so good.
What i like best was how he was able to pull off acting blind.... there have been a few movies like this but the actors just give away that they are using their sight....I swear they must have put contacts in to make him blind in some scenes
"Unreasonable men make life so difficult."
Under rated cult classic
This is one of the most underrated action films ever. 😂😂😂😂😂
Rare appearance from Sho Kosugi
Star of Enter The Ninja and Revenge of The Ninja.
@@johncarter1477-v6y and played a great role in Ninja Assassin
He did a great add for Honda also "Even the Ninja hides from the Hurricane"
He’s the one that choreographed all the Sword fight scenes in the movie.
He was an awesome actor and I don't think that there was any of his movies that I didn't like. 😊
Agree.
I remember he played a Wonderful Villain in Nighthawks.
@@johncarter1477-v6y Yes he played the evil and ruthless Wulfgar.
Flesh + Blood is one of my secret favorite films lol.
My this was one of my favorite movies growing up. Me and my brother watch hundreds of times.
Bruh, I thought it was a gag film at first until I read the description. That makes so much more sense now lol.
Best actor in Blade Runner, by far !!!--RIP--miss you-- see you in heaven - ,,(lady hawke)
He was the definite Roy Batty.
He sold being a slowly going psychotic clone android so wel you’d believe he was like that for real.
why does he run and crawl over EVERY ITEM HE CAN SEE?? xD I mean he even runs up a ladder even tho there is nothing on top - I love it ;D Real good actor tho, remember him from my youth
He shoulda said "Kiss my Converse."
This was one of my favorities of my chilhood!
+👍 For Sho Kosugi.
The piece of perfection!👍😁
Way to go John Locke. You saved the day
There are a couple movies from my childhood that I remember fondly and this is one of them.
Wow! He Darth-Mauled him!
Loved this move as a kid.
American take on Zatoichi
Zatoitchi is a Character that appeared in over fifty Japanese Samurai films.
@@johncarter1477-v6y And I've seen nearly every one. Just missing Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo.
Now THAT was a sharp sword!!
Dude gets cut in half, and screams the whole way down.😂😂
A blind katana master stopping mid fight to feel the face of his opponent to find out their race is so hilariously 80s lol
9:16 he made an excellent Fall Guy
0:54 это отлично, когда слепой еще до обнаружения препятствия уже поднимает ногу и протягивает руки чтобы оперевшись преодолеть его
Visual representation of Kirk fighting Khan! 🤓 👍
George Lucas Must of been a Fan.
my first thought, was looking this commentary, (english not my fisrt language?
they did it before phantom menace !!!
Tex Cobb as Darth Maul...
tenho original e do camelo mas só gosto de assistir no pen-drive é muito bom esse filme obrigado
So awesome!
This is like someone disabled gore mode in your video game while you were away doing something else .
Great film for what it was back in the day.
Great film. You seem to have added on extra, unneeded and incorrect words.
RUTGER HAUER!!!!❤❤❤
First Daredevil movie :)
Excellent flick, start to finish!

Very Underrated Movie.
Задорнов отлично сыграл
I wonder if the last guy comes back as half man half spider?
Was that a Darth Maul reference?
those lockers are made from some really good steel, i guess.
-Welcome to my world…
Absolutely perfect cheese.
He yells fire in the hole, door blows open and they are standing right there… 😂
Inspired the Star Wars. Guess how?
i have half a clue, what it might be...
Blood Of Heroes... classic
Пародия на Затоичи .
Некоторые сцены перекочевали в сериал "SEE"
Но фильм для своего времени потрясающий.
Смотрел его многократно.
Dude jumps over a bar but a chair is his nemesis
Great movie.
6:30 walks loud enough we can hear it, shouts before attacking..Obviously didn't study Evil Henchman Manual
Rutger could have been in the Highlander
Did he popularise the reverse grip too?
😄
American Zatoichi xD heh Oh hey Jon Lock! you got LOST boy!
We need actors on the set...how do youbwant them to look? Like astranged uncles or sombody sweaty you meet at a garage sale or a mall in the 90's.
Eu adoro todas as expressões que ele faz durante a luta.
Вот откуда взяли падение Дарт Мола😊
Rutger Hauer Would Have Made A Great Highlander Immortal.
They may be accurate enough to get a part as a Storm Trooper
I feel like star wars stole the falling body cut in half bit from this
The “Dutch Zatoichi”.
Did you cut the exercise machine with a katana?) Is it made of wood?
Rutger was great in Hobo With a Shotgun
Watched this in cinema long ago
Now do you believe me when I tell you George Lucas stole the darth maul death from this film???
Yep
Film originale, ottimo interprete
With a blunt sword no less
Wish they had done sequels .
Re make potential and franchise potential
they were planning sequels, but unfortunately the movie bombed at cinemas.
He would play a good daredevil
I want there to be a shot for shot remake of this movie called Blind Furry. It'll be exactly the same but everyone is a furry
White Zaotoichi remake
Lol they copied that death scene in the Darth Maul fight!
