So gorgeous even without makeup. I think the Revlon side held up better. Both give you a nice healthy glow. I'm sorry that you felt awful. Hoping you are feeling well today.
Lots of hugs and love to you, sweet Melissa❣💖💗♥️

Hi Melissa. I am a die hard Lancome foundation lover. They are my absolute favorite but I never thought of trying the stick foundation. I always thought it would look too cakey and full coverage. Well, I tried it today and I am in LOVE. It is the most creamy, natural looking foundation and it absolutely makes my skin look flawless. It is worth every penny. Thank you so much for the recommendation. You made my day!! Oh by the way, Nordstrom is having a sale and Lancome is 15% off so it came out to $36.55. Plus, you get a free gift. The free gift has a really pretty eyeshadow palette and juicy tubes lip gloss plus skin care products.

We are both stick lovers. I have not tried the drug store stick foundations and based on this review, I won't! But I HAVE tried every higher end stick foundation off Sephora and, like you, the Lancome stick can NOT be beat. I LOVE it. Thank you for sharing this! Sure hope you are feeling better.

What a difference at the end of the day. The Revlon really held up. I’ve never used a stick foundation but I may need to try one. You’re always beautiful. I bet that house is spotless, ready for the queen!

Hi Melissa, I would have to agree with you that the Revlon side held up better than the Maybelline side. Initially both looked really pretty on you. I think if you love the Lancome stick foundation you should get that one and not buy the others. Lancome makes beautiful products and when something works well then stick with it! You looked pretty even when not feeling well. I always love to see houses and how people decorate. Before the pandemic my husband and I would go to open houses in our neighborhood just to see how they did the yard or fixed up the kitchen. It was especially fun when we were remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms. Thanks so much for taking the time to test out these foundations. It was a fun video. Have a wonderful weekend! Love, Karen

Love seeing the house Melissa and still love the video that you made walking down your street. It's nice to get a peek into someone's environment, makes things relatable so really looking forward to that! Plus I loved your cooking videos. Still make your leek and kielbasa soup. It's a real family favourite! Take care of yourself love. Best wishes from Liverpool UK x

Hello sweet friend. The Revlon side seemed to have held up better than the Maybelline side. I've used the Maybelline stick foundation and it applies smoothly and gave me a glow to my skin. It seems that the center part has moisturizer but not sure. It feels like it. Lol ! I should try the Revlon so I can compare. 🙂 Thank you for your comparison. Hope you're feeling better. Love you ! 💞

I have never used a stick foundation!! It was hard for me to pay attention to the makeup because of your beauty. My goodness you and my youngest daughter 40 years old are just naturally beautiful. You actually look younger than her. I know her sickness has aged her. I do hope your feeling better. Please show your house from what I’ve seen it looks beautiful. Hope you have a great weekend ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Beautiful Lady! I know you may have felt bad... but you always look great! I could see the breakdown of Maybeline... and the Revlon looked difficult to work with .. although you did great job. I have to say... I am using my points with Sephora...and I use my Lancome stick foundation a lot! I use my artis brush to smooth it on... I use 3 longer stripes and two small... and that’s plenty. I feel like for 33. It lasts well and is worth it.
Thank you for these comparisons. It really helps those of us wondering about other brands. I vote Lancome though. ☀️❤️
Friday night is my shot night for my biologic... I understand and I am not so much an early morning person as I was ... I need my coffee and to watch my dogs play when they go out...times have changed for me in that respect.🙄 but it’s ok... not a real big deal in the scheme of things. Love you!

You might like CoverGirl Aqua Smoothers - it’s in a compact, but goes on like a stick foundation. It dries to a satin finish.

Hope you are feeling better Melissa;).🙏🙏🙏. I think the Revlon side definitely held up better. Never tried the Lancome stick foundation, but now that you said how wonderful it is, will have to try it. I find it's a hit or miss: I like some items from maybelline, some estee Lauder, etc. Right now I'm trying out elf. Pretty good for the price. Always good to see you!!! Have a great weekend ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗👏👏👏

I want to try the Revlon stick foundation, but like you, I have the Lancôme and I love it. Nothing beats it for my oily T-zone and for a flawless look. I have the Bobbi Brown, Complexion Rescue by Bare Minerals, Wet 'n Wild and L'Oreal Infalliable. That's a lot of stick foundations! Maybe skip the drugstore and just buy the Lancôme...it would be cheaper in the long run! Well, I love makeup, so I have to try it all...LOL. Thanks for this comparison. I look forward to hearing more about the stick foundations you have tried. Thanks, Melissa! ~Nancy

I wear the Elf stick foundation and I love it. I’m in the Navy and on deployments I need something quick and effective. You should try the Elf with some powder. I used to wear the Bobby Brown, and the Elf is almost as good. Thanks for the review.

The Maybelline made you look a little more dewy where the Revlon made you look more matte. I have to agree with the majority of the group I preferred the Revlon on you, I think it held up pretty well. I am like you I have tried so many foundations high end and drug store but the one that I have found that I love the best and reach for the most often is not a stick but a liquid by Cover Girl and it is the Cover Girl + Olay simply ageless I get more compliments on that one than any other foundation that I own. You look amazing Melissa I am glad you are feeling better after your Infusion. I feel the same way with my RA flares, it is bad! Have a great weekend!💕

    • @Melissa55
      @Melissa55  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Thank you so much Joyce. I will have to give that one a try. Sometimes the ones that we’re used to and have used for a while, turn out to be the best ones overall! I sure hate it that you have RA. That’s hard to handle. Many thanks and take care

    • @dianawest3976
      @dianawest3976 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Joyce, I agree with you about the Revlon...I thought it looked nicer and covered better, and yes, one of my favorites is also Cover Girl + Olay simply ageless in the creamy compact form that you apply with a sponge- I always test my makeup looks -I see if I get a compliment from my husband, and that one usually does! But I love the Lancôme stick foundation too, but use it sparingly because it is pricey and comes in a rather small tube!

Melissa I will be forever grateful to you for finding my 'holy grail' foundation - the Lancome stick! I'd advise others to go to a store to test colours on your face as they have a wide range and it's expensive!! It glies on like butter and I blend it with a stiple brush even though it's so easy to blend with your fingers. I use it as a concealer, just add a bit of blusher/mascara and I'm done in 5 minutes! Sorry you had a tough day. Hope you're feeling better today xo

You are gorgeous and so easy to relate to. Love your videos your sense of humor and humility. We have so many things in common including GI issues. I love Lancôme foundation and have never tried the stick so I am anxious to try it. Thanks Melissa- keep up with the videos and take care!
P.S. Melissa could you possibly do a video on strapless bras? I see that you wear a lot of off the shoulder tops which look great on you. I bought a few from Amazon that you recommended, which I love, but I am having trouble finding the best overall and comfortable strapless bra to wear with my tops. Thank you!

I know that cream to powder from Merle Norman well! I worked for a Merle Norman studio for 4 years. That was the foundation I chose to wear for myself. I miss it. The stick from Lancome is the closest to it that I’ve tried. Mary Kay use to have one that was nice as well.

Well i was thinking what are you wearing before the Test. Umm yep i can see why you like the more expensive one. I cant abide dragging. Im using one i got from Ebay. Not available in the US. Its bog standard foundation liquid. I start to take my foundation off oh shoot. I want a photo. I used Maybelline Baby skin primer, i actually remembered it that day lol. Its easier to apply foundation with this on. Revlon won for sure on your tests. You need to count swipes. I believe you swiped less with Revlon. Love to you xxx 💞❤💕🐕🐾🐾

Hi Melissa. I feel if you like the lancome and it does well for you and you're comfortable with it and all, I feel that you buy that even though that the drugstore ones are cheaper, hey it would be wonderful if you found one that you really really liked but if not it's not worth it just to keep swiping and wasting your money at 11 dollars a pop . We always have something we really like.. You're so pretty and I like your suggestions. Thank you. Enjoy your weekend... She’d be so mad because she felt they didn’t take her seriously. I told her to stop making up her face. She would use her powder, put lipstick on, fix her hair & use perfume. Didn’t matter how bad she felt. I was proud of her. Hope you’re feeling better. I know I’m very nervous about getting any tests done. I have those damned broken capillaries! I hate them. I wanted to get them taken care of a long time ago. Of course I put it off. I always thought I’d feel better & I’d be able to walk. No such luck. Just have to cover up with makeup. I don’t like full coverage. I like the Revlon stick foundation. I like the finish on your skin. Looks beautiful. Love you, Lucy

Aw bless your mother. But I got a kick out of her wondering why they didn’t think she was sick. Lol. Oh the broken capillaries! Don’t even get me started. Lol. Take care! Love ya!

It was above and beyond to test these products on infusion day, so thank you Melissa. I tried the maybelline stick years ago and at that time I was working a 12 hr. shift and by lunch it wore away. The Revlon looked like it did better, but your right about these not being as good as Lancome. Wow. your so good about saving your points at Sephora, I've only ever saved around 2000 and then used them up. Buy the Lancome honey!

Years ago my mom and I used Max Factor Pan Stick Foundation until we couldn't find any more. We loved it and I haven't thought to look for it again until now and I see that it's back. I use Estee Lauder but for the price difference I'm thinking a might just try a tube of it.

@Kathy Haynes I found the Pan Stick on Amazon in case you are looking for it. They changed the packaging but the product is still the same. I loved it way back when and still enjoy it now! It will always remain one of my favorites.

I loved Max Factor Panstik too. I mainly used it to conceal a birthmark on my face, and it worked better than most concealers.

I must be really old because in 1970 I used the Max Factor Pan-Cake Makeup. It came in a flat, round pan and you applied it with a wet sponge. It gave beautiful coverage. I'll look for the Pan Stick foundation and give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the fair comparison, Melissa. The Revlon definitely looked better at the end of the day than the Maybelline did. Did you mention the price of each, I can't remember? I really appreciate you reviewing less expensive products. I've only been focusing on eyes, brows, and forehead these days since mask-wearing is a social "thing." Wish I could find a lip color that wouldn't transfer so easily to masks...still working on that one! I hope you're feeling better today. Be well and have a great weekend!

Melissa , I love stick foundations, too! Love the Lancôme but it is pricey so I use it sparingly...have you tried Sheishido stick? It’s a more full coverage than Lancôme , but not bad! The one I really don’t like is the Bobbi Brown- too stiff and sticky and not as good color match...and I like the Revlon side better on you!!☺️💕

whatever eyeshadow you're wearing in this video is gorgeous on you! i think the revlon looks better on you right from the start. i've never had good luck with stick foundations, mostly drugstore types and one 'good' one. at my age i could use a foundation i'm sure, but i'm just used to and more comfortable in a tinted moisturizer.

Don't you hate it when they discontinue something! There was a stick I used to love by either ELF or WnW but I can't find it , so I can't wait to see your WnW stick video. Hi Sweetheart, you are absolutely right, its much harder to get a good stick foundation from the drugstore, than it is from High end ranges....I know they stopped doing CYO in the States, but they make a really nice one, other than that, I like the one from Bare Minerals.....Much love always..Bella xxxx🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

I really like the Lancôme stick and mine is almost finished. I am scraping it out with a brush. We can’t get it here cause Ulta doesn’t deliver to Canada. So, I bought the revlon one. Not bad but not as good coverage. I will look at getting the L’Oreal one ne t time. Thanks so much for you down to earth attitude. Love it. Xx🙋🏼‍♀️🌻🇨🇦 suez

I think the stick foundations are very close in texture to the compact cream foundation. For many years I used the Bobby Brown Oil-Free compact cream (like stick) foundation. It was soooo good. I love Lancome in general. I haven't used their foundation is a long while due to cost but I still use the skin care.

I recently got a new foundation from the Balm. It’s actually a whipped foundation that came in a little pot. The name of it is Even Steven and I have only used it twice. It is definitely cream to powder and I didn’t realize what it was when I got it. I liked it better the 2nd time. Take care girlfriend, you take care of yourself. Love you.

It looked like the Revlon didn't "glide" on as well but it did look like it held up and covered much better than the Maybelline. I am curious about the Honest Beauty cream foundation! Have you tried that one, Melissa? Great video! 😘❤
