I absolutely love watching your videos. I love that you actually show us what you are doing. I like that you emphasize using products you have on hand, thrift and hand me downs. Your dining room is so pretty. Love following you.
I’m so happy that you’re so happy. You’re so kind and have helped so many people with your generosity that this is so well deserved. For your new subscribers who may not know it, Corey has made it her mission to help individuals aging out of the foster care system by providing furniture she refinishes to help them to furnish their new homes. All of your success and happiness is so well deserved Corey.
You absolutely should be proud! That’s what creating a home is all about, creating a place where your family is proud to invite friends over. I’m 68, and think back on my childhood home so fondly. My mother had excellent taste, and influenced all of her girls with a love of home and beauty. I’m very impressed with your work. You don’t seem to hesitate to take on anything. Also love that you have such a connection with kids aging out of foster care. Those kids have not had the advantages most of us take for granted. My parents helped us all furnish our first apartments. Are you on the Child Welfare Board? I think you’re a great mom, and hope you like Houston!
We had one of those candy dishes with the point. My boys do not want any of my things. I have my Grandmother's silver candle stick holders. She used to let the church borrow them for special events and weddings. She was afraid they would disappear, so she scratched "Parker" on the bottom of each one. That's what makes them special to me.
My grandmother had one too. I love things. I'm a maximalist by nature, but I literally could not keep all the things from our grandparents even though my granmother didn't have nearly as much as me, so I have a piece or two here and there. That piece of crystal did not make the cut. A pink glass dish did though. It's completely random, not a part of a set, but it's unique, and it was her mother-in-law's that she kept.
I can relate to you Linda. My mom passed. My sis got all her stuff. Than she passed and I was disappointed that she got rid of most my mom's stuff. This year I'm kinda glad I will never clean out another house. Mom dad 3 sisters. Last sis was a hoarder. But I do get lonely alot. And I love to cook.
I also want to say that I think you are immensely talented and I love all your pieces and you really have a great imagination and a great view of all the things that you restore because they look so much better and you save them and I know that you try to keep them as original as possible and I think you are just outstanding!
Cory, I'm in Delaware, Ohio.I have a variety of thrift stores to choose from. The one I used to shop at the most was located in a neighborhood of McMansions, I got a silk coat with leather trim, a zip out rabbit fur liner, and a chinchilla fur collar. I bought it for ten dollars. That was over 20 years ago. Today, they price things as if they're an antique shop and even clothing is priced so high that it is better to buy new. Yard sales would be a good alternative, hire a nanny to go with you, or invite a friend or family member to assist with the children, this is my suggestion. It is another example of the separation between the rich and poor. To me it seems there is a program under way to turn the working class into the poor and the poor to less than human. I'm 71, so it could just be my POV. ❤ your home and skills!
What a beautiful piece, Corrie. You made it your own but kept it true to the original piece. I just love old furniture, you get the feeling of being a part of the history of it. You made it last and who knows where it will end up 140 years from now? That's kind of humbling and remarkable. I'm sure your grandmother would feel the same. I love your pride, excitement and joy, very lovely things to pass on to your own children.
Awe. So proud of yourself is NOT cheesy. It's good to feel satisfaction and joy from your accomplishment! Be encouraged! Also, those prices were NUTS. That plate wasn't even Spode. Lol
You were right girl, some of those prices were ridiculous for a thrift store! But you did find some good treasures! Love your antique piece, very nice job. You are a really good stager. You are making your home beautiful. Love all your vintage and antiques.
I am so impressed with your furniture restoring talents! I love antiques but can rarely afford buying pieces that cost thousand of dollars! My sister influenced me to combine new and antique furniture instead of buying modern furniture when I was first married. I cherish pieces that my Mom and grandmothers had...and feel proud to use them in my own home. I also love thrifting and it is amazing when I find an antique without the antique shop price! I love that you save so many things that are beautiful with your creative energy and literally some elbow grease! Your home looks like you love and appreciate it! You also should be proud of all the hard work you and your husband do to show your children and your viewers the courage to restore items rather that throw away! Thank you!!
That silver teapot polished up beautifully. I have a suggestion for the topiary - you could paint the pot a deep blue & change the holly & berries to ivy - it could go really well with your blue & white. Just a thought! I'm totally digging that glass bowl with the glass beaded rim. So pretty!
I have to say you are one of the most charming and genuine content creators I have watched, I always look forward to your new videos. Thank you for Sharing you home, yourself and your projects. I wish much success for you and your family.
Wow, so beautiful! I love how that piece came together and how you decorated it, stunning fabric; perhaps some neutral contact paper on the underside of the shelves to avoid getting splinters when you reach in. You just looked like you were focused on the road. Thanks for sharing with us.
You can be very proud of yourself. You could see the potential of every piece you buy. All whatever you made looks greater. I love all crystals so much, and I love all those crystals you bought. Hulda, from Puerto Rico 🎉Lots of Blessings to all family.
I, too, have no friends that love to go thrifting, or any that enjoy redoing furniture like I do. I love redoing old things, even items that are not just furniture. I like old pieces, and I absolutely LOVE old houses. So I really look forward to your videos because I want to learn so much more about how to do things. Many people think I’m too old to be doing these kinds of things (I’m 71) and tell me I should just get someone to do it. The reality though is I don’t want someone else doing these things for me. I want to try doing them myself which is also a reason I love to see what you’re doing, or have done. By the way, my name is Bonnie Smith, and I’m the one that said in an earlier comment that I live in Lubbock, Texas.
Hi Bonnie I'm Lubbock! I think its wonderful that you want to do things yourself. I understand the idea of paying someone else to do it for convenience but sometimes it's more rewarding doing it yourself
Your house does not look like a haunted house nor a grandparent's house. Your house looks like YOUR house. A very tasteful, well-loved house filled with family and good times and memories.
The room looks lovely, and the english display cabinet is the cherry on top. You did a really good job restoring it. I can't believe people are rude enough to leave negative comments about your decor. It's something that reflects the owner's personality and gives them a place to feel safe, happy and comfortable. It doesn't have to conform to anyone else's style, so it's like someone telling you they don't like the clothes you wear. Totally inappropriate. Haven't these people heard the saying, " If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"?
Hi Deb. I agree. I don't get many mean comments anymore because I think I've blocked all the mean people already! Haha. But people have told me these things in person lol! Whatever. I like it so that's what matters haha
BOOM!! Out of the ballpark, again!! Your talent is absolutely amazing!! I agree with the prices at thrift stores. They're quite ridiculous sometimes. I, also, agree that they're priced as if they are at an antique store. Went to a Goodwill store and saw the prices and thought pfft!!! Went to Hobby Lobby and got new comparable items for less!! 😳😳 Love your channel and always look forward to seeing what you do next. I enjoy your positivity, i.e., the statement you made about the furniture piece being done by someone who wanted to make it look better with what they had. You're not only beautiful on the outside but, beautiful on the inside!! God bless you and yours!!
Hi Cory - I've enjoyed many of your videos and have learned from your work. However, this one is maybe the MOST inspiring!!! This is not just the result of your beautiful furniture restoration, but because of your excitement and enthusiasm! Also, your dining room is so very lovely! In the segment where you show your thrift finds I kept getting distracted by how pretty your large cabinet is and how much the room looks like a model home! Great job and thanks for your ongoing inspiration!
Thank you for sharing your absolutely wonderful home I found your channel about 2 years ago and loved everything you've worked on. Your decorating style is like mine I appreciate all antique and real wood furniture. Thank you for your love and joy have a wonderful week
That is a stunning piece. Love the wood, the color, fabric and the decorations. You have a way with mixing the modern with the antique. Love the dinning room as well.
Cory, you’ve done a beautiful job on your home! Your ideas and talent are really showcased. I really enjoy your channel and look forward to your videos! 🥰
Hi Corey! Beautiful! I, too, love antiques, vintage and and homey touches. I'm not a grandma yet but I think that's my vibe! I'm tired of trying to match the "trends", so I'm embracing my quirky style. I also have a girly, glitter, irredesent, pink side that I embrace in my craft room !
@@DesertDIY I have to because my husband and I love OLD stuff😜 we are restoring an old building and we need STUFF!! We just got home from Fredricksburg TX we did their Trade Days and thrift stores❤️ we found some interesting things at decent prices, a few great deals, and paid up for a few things🤦🏻♀️ it’s always an adventure❤️ I heard you say finding thrifting buddies is not easy. Your right it’s not for everyone😜 but where’s the fun in just going to a store and buying the things everyone else has🤷🏻♀️ thrifting gives us a unique home that makes us smile and again brings back fun memories of the HUNT 🤣❤️ best of luck in your treasure hunting ⚜️
I agree with you on the prices at thrift stores. I’ve been thrifting a long time and all the stores are much more expensive than ever! I’m in Fresno, central California. I think my days of cheap thrifting are over as well :(
This piece is absolutely beautiful I love old antiques as well grew up with them in my home and the blue ( my favorite color) makes it pop. I love everything about this room can't wait to see the living room update 💙
I love the display cabinet. It is so like the furniture in my home. Thank you for your talent and care but also your attitude which encompasses all restorers and decorators.
I was fortunate that my mother in law had some beautiful antiques which were divided amongst her 4 children on her death. They keep her in our hearts and in our lives.
You are such a joy! I myself live antiques and anything old. I also am fascinated when u think about history and how these unique items were used and transport in time imagining how things used to be! We don’t have that anymore. Everything is just mass produced or disposable for convenience. I live in Louisiana and goodwills and thrift store prices are ridiculous!! Try to find church garage sales and like animal shelter fund raising yard sales. They are priced to move out quickly. Yard sales are yard on the weekends bc it’s hit or miss - not usually fun with kids. Keep it real. Keep it honest! That’s why I love you and your channel ❤
I adore the work you do, and I have learned a lot from you. I live in Melbourne Australia and I find that since Covid, the Thrift stores (called Op Shops here) prices have skyrocketed. Keep up the fantastic work ❤
Hey, Granny Chic is super trendy right now, so you are in style! I love your house. And you obviously do, too. Don’t let the rude comments discourage you. ❤
What a beautiful dining room. You have every right to be proud of your accomplishments! I'm recently saw your u tube channel, so I am binge watching episodes that I missed. I love your tastes in things, that open cabinet in the room is beautiful. I love blue and white as well.
I'm in Australia and yes thrift shop prices have gone up a lot. Plus, anything that is of value like vintage and antiques, they are pricing like they are an antique shop. There are some exceptions. Some things it is cheaper to buy at big chain stores new
I love your heart Corrie. I love watching your old videos from Arizona. You are a girl after my heart. I was "rescuing" furniture in my early years. Late 60s. I still to this day like to help those who I can. Oh to have had the tools of today back then. Love the vision of your home in Texas. You always find the best stuff. DIY on girl. gif8l.
I'm in Bakersfield CA and all places here think there is gold in their donated pieces. I won't shop Goodwill, but Salvation Army has raised their prices. We have a number of church orientated thrift stores. I would rather give them my retirement dollars.
The finished dining room is gorgeous, I love the colour scheme etc etc etc. I'm like you I like furniture with character the makeover has really improved the cabinet. Thanks, congratulations on your many new subscribers. xxx
I think your room looks so beautiful. I really enjoyed watching you. I’ve only been here a short time….. and I had enjoyed watching you create your treasures….
I love all things vintage! I wanted to go on the longest yard sale, but I had foot surgery. Hopefully I can find one this fall to go on. I love your sweet attitude!
Those prices seem high to me, too. Maybe yard sales or days when there are sales at thrift stores? I am shocked that people are so critical. You are gracious enough to share your work & your home with us. Are these folks being vulnerable as you are? No. It is a beautiful piece & I love that you know how you want your home to be & feel. Lovely work.
I love it all! I too love the antiques and the warm feelings they provide in a home. Great makeover on the cabinet. Your home is beautifully decorated. When you added your grandmother glass piece it looks like it might be a little cloudy 🤷🏻♀️. If so try washing it in vinegar and warm soapy water. The vinegar really helps brighten the glass. Hope you don’t mind the add.
Yes, thrift stores have raised prices to boutique levels. I would suggest you find several companies close to you that arrange estate sales, and follow them on social media. Then you can see upcoming sales with photos and spend more time at a single place rather than getting in and out at yard sales. Estate sales are really fun!
It’s so clear how you love and respect old pieces! The cabinet came out beautiful ! I love the set of white dishes! I’m a real fan of white dishes- so versatile and looks great on table. I agree- thrift store prices at higher than I’d like to see ( Long Island NY). As for the topiary, I would leave the red berries but paint pot white.
You're so humble and beautiful and gracious. I love your home ❤ It looks so homey and inviting 💕. You're a truly beautiful person 💞😘 God bless you and your family xx
Live east of you and am always amazed by how much both thrift stores and people on Facebook are charging. If you haven't gone yet, a fun place to shop is the Texas Art Asylum. Sometimes you can find unique items for crafting and sometimes furniture. Prices vary, but it is fun to go through.
I’m a newer subscriber. Just wanted to thank you for the amazing work you do to help kids aging out of foster care! And, to say that while I have noticed slight increases in thrift store items, they are mostly still pretty inexpensive out here in central Indiana. I’ve always found prices increase when the thrift store is in a nicer area (usually gets quality goods donated) or supports specific charities.
I used to live in that area of Houston and Black Cat Junction is a little higher than other thrift stores but carries better quality goods. Love your channel
*Nice job, Cory❣️🥰 💙 I think you made the best fabric selection with the blue velvet, matching 💙 the blue velvet fabric you used to reupholster your chairs. I absolutely* *L💙VE IT that you prefer vintage and antique pieces for your home. I am the same way, but perhaps I am strongly influenced by the fact that my parents were Antique Dealers, so I grew up with old things. I am grateful 🙏 I did, because things (for the most part) were made so much better. Especially furniture, as a rule, is much better quality and built to last, compared to today's particle board monstrosities‼️ So no, I don't think you are weird in your decor choices - at all❣️😉😘🥰 Live in YOUR home and decorate it the way IT MAKES YOU HAPPY - and leave others to do the same. 😊 Too bad the rude commentors didn't learn to be kind and practice The Golden Rule....no "house training", I guess...or more likely - they need Jesus❣️😊* *Yes, you have surrounded yourself with over 100k like-minded people on your channel who enjoy the things you do. If you don't have any local friends right now in the Houston area who share your interests, just remember all of your "TH-cam family" members who celebrate and validate you, Cory❣️❣️❣️💜💯💕 BIG HUGS 🫂 🤗 ❤️ and KISSES❣️😘 🥰 OXOXOXO*
I agree with everything you said! Very well said. I try and convince my kids to like antiques but they aren't into it yet haha thank you so much Leslie
You are absolutely right about the subjectivity of beauty. A person should feel good about their living space and be happy and proud of it. You are really talented ❤️
I was born in Texas and have lived here most of my life and those prices you were showing are high for a thrift store. Also I love that you chose the fabric that matched the chair. Good choice.
BTW, your grandmother's inverted punchbowl base in the cabinet will make a gorgeous unique candle holder right-side-up on the table. I find way more vintage bases than punchbowls, and I snatch them up for candle holders. Of course, I prefer the battery-operated candles, but they still look good. Very often those bases are sold In thrift stores (and even antique shops) as flower containers (nothing wrong with using them for that), and, as such, they're sold inexpensively, so it's easy to build a nice collection.
That thrift store's prices are crazy!! Glad you found items you like for reasonable prices. I agree that prices are getting out of hand. I am in the Lexington, VA area and the prices have gone up and there is less enjoyment in shopping. Always enjoy your videos!! ❤
We have one in our small town that is a church thrift store that supports a baby pantry it still has amazing prices but all the other ones are outrageous.
I just discovered your channel today! I'm staying in from the heat and looking for interesting new sites to visit. I love your care for older used pieces and making them useful again. I will be checking your site often! Great job on your dining room!
Wow that english style cabinet looks lovely in your dining room!. The blue velvet fabric is perfect and already paid for!! The silver plated teapot looks wonderful all spiffed up with polish!! I have had the best luck at estate sales and some yard sales. I agree that prices are too high in most second hand shops like Habitat for Humanity's Restore, Goodwill and Salvation Army shops! Can't wait to see how you attack your formal living room!! I think older furniture is beautiful and definitely made better than most newer furniture. I grew up surrounded by older, beautiful items in my relative's homes since my great grandfather was a sea captain!
Wow that is so cool! I am a bit intimidated by my formal livingroom because of how much I love my dining room. I think I now have a lot to live up to with the rest of the house haha
Your home is beautiful and that hutch, oh my! I live in deep south Texas and I’ve been thrifting for years and prices have gone up at the thrifts stores 🤦🏻♀️ some of those prices you showed are antique shop prices. Love your attitude, keep doing what your doing, blessings to you!
Hi Gail! I wish I was at 1 million. I am at 119,000 right now. Maybe one day! Doubtful. I have had a few videos pass 1 million views though. Either way I am proud of how far I have come. Thank you so much
You did an amazing job on the cabinet! The fabric color is perfect, blend beautifully with the room decor! All of the glassware in the cabinet looks stunning! I look forward to your videos and love everything you do! Thank you for sharing your expertise with us! 😊❤
Corey, I am in Eastern North Carolina. The thrift stores have just gone crazy! I feel it could be another repercussion of the pandemic. More people are DIYing and shopping in thrift stores. I have quit going to them (except for Salvation Army, who is still the most reasonable in my area). At one time the ReStore (Habitat for Humanity) was reasonable, but they have all revamped and are now ridiculously prices. For thrifting, I now depend on yard sales. For the topiary, I would remove the red and green and use olive picks- you could save the Christmas decos and make it do double duty. As usual, you did a magnificent redo on this cabinet-you never disappoint! I did luck up and found a silver pitcher very similar to yours for $3 because the lid was broken (easily fixed). I repaired and redid it and I use it as a tissue dispenser (a tip from Teresa on Our Greene Acres). Love your dining room and the new piece is the icing on the cake. You decorated it beautifully. Thanks for sharing
I absolutely love watching your videos. I love that you actually show us what you are doing. I like that you emphasize using products you have on hand, thrift and hand me downs.

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. I love thrift and old quality things.

I love the display cabinet! So beautiful in your dining room. It’s an absolute treat for us to see your home transformation.
I have those exact gold dishes. They were wedding gifts for my Parents in1946
Oh how neat!!!
You are not wrong, those thrift store prices were really high! I love how the cabinet and decor turned out. 😊

Wow thank you so much Melody that means SO much to me
Your style is perfect and you can fell very proud that you got a good deal on everything. I love finding the right things for my home.
Thank you so much
I think that your Edwardian china cabinet is absolutely beautiful and so elegant. So well done and you should be very proud of yourself
Thank you so much!!!
You havs right to be proud!! You make so many things and you have also a big family!! I admire you!!
Thank you so much that means a lot to me
Thank you for sharing your absolutely wonderful home I found your channel about 2 years ago and loved everything you've worked on. Your decorating style is like mine I appreciate all antique and real wood furniture. Thank you for your love and joy have a wonderful week
Thank you so much Donna! You too
Definitely feel proud of yourself! It all looks amazing!
That is a stunning piece. Love the wood, the color, fabric and the decorations. You have a way with mixing the modern with the antique. Love the dinning room as well.
Thank you so much Joann. That is such a sweet compliment
Cory, you’ve done a beautiful job on your home! Your ideas and talent are really showcased. I really enjoy your channel and look forward to your videos! 🥰
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me
Your home is beautiful, you do such gorgeous work.
You are my favorite DIY lady.
Wow, thank you! That is a huge compliment and means so much to me because there are soooo many talented ladies here on youtube
Hi Corey! Beautiful! I, too, love antiques, vintage and and homey touches. I'm not a grandma yet but I think that's my vibe! I'm tired of trying to match the "trends", so I'm embracing my quirky style. I also have a girly, glitter, irredesent, pink side that I embrace in my craft room !
I love it!!! Embrace it all 😀
Thrifting has become a true hunt!!! It helps knowing the sale days. I also find I get super excited when I find something😂 like I won a prize!!
I love that you are looking on the bright side
I think my days of cheap thrifting are over as well :(
Isn't it so sad!?!
This piece is absolutely beautiful I love old antiques as well grew up with them in my home and the blue ( my favorite color) makes it pop. I love everything about this room can't wait to see the living room update 💙
Thank you so much
I love the display cabinet. It is so like the furniture in my home. Thank you for your talent and care but also your attitude which encompasses all restorers and decorators.
I bet you have a beautiful home Deborah. Thank you so much
I was fortunate that my mother in law had some beautiful antiques which were divided amongst her 4 children on her death.
Thank you so much Lisa!
I adore the work you do, and I have learned a lot from you. I live in Melbourne Australia and I find that since Covid, the Thrift stores (called Op Shops here) prices have skyrocketed. Keep up the fantastic work ❤
Thank you so much. What a shame about your op stops
I live in Melbourne too and I agree 100 percent. Op shop prices have sky-rocketed 😢
Hey, Granny Chic is super trendy right now, so you are in style! I love your house. And you obviously do, too. Don’t let the rude comments discourage you. ❤
Thank you so much Diana
What a beautiful dining room. You have every right to be proud of your accomplishments! I'm recently saw your u tube channel, so I am binge watching episodes that I missed. I love your tastes in things, that open cabinet in the room is beautiful. I love blue and white as well.
Thank you so much!
I'm in Australia and yes thrift shop prices have gone up a lot. Plus, anything that is of value like vintage and antiques, they are pricing like they are an antique shop. There are some exceptions. Some things it is cheaper to buy at big chain stores new
Isn't it such a shame?
I love your heart Corrie. I love watching your old videos from Arizona. You are a girl after my heart. I was "rescuing" furniture in my early years. Late 60s. I still to this day like to help those who I can. Oh to have had the tools of today back then. Love the vision of your home in Texas. You always find the best stuff. DIY on girl. gif8l.
Love the floral.
I'm in Bakersfield CA and all places here think there is gold in their donated pieces. I won't shop Goodwill, but Salvation Army has raised their prices. We have a number of church orientated thrift stores. I would rather give them my retirement dollars.
Great thinking Linda. I used to love salvation army but yes they got expensive, plus there aren't many of them here. Strange!
Thank you so much Linda. It means a lot that you're here supporting my channel
So pretty! The blue fabric really shows off your thrifted pieces.
Thank you so much Karen
The room looks magnificent! The china cabinet … perfectly done!
Thank you so much
The finished dining room is gorgeous, I love the colour scheme etc etc etc. I'm like you I like furniture with character the makeover has really improved the cabinet. Thanks, congratulations on your many new subscribers. xxx
Thank you so much Marilyn
I think your room looks so beautiful. I really enjoyed watching you. I’ve only been here a short time….. and I had enjoyed watching you create your treasures….
Thank you so much Katherine, I am so glad to have you here
The thrift stores where I live have went up in price just like everything else has went up in price
What a bummer!
Great job on your makeover🎉 your dining room is fabulous, and I love your granny chic style - totally on-trend‼️
Thank you so much Lynn I'm so glad you liked it
I love all things vintage! I wanted to go on the longest yard sale, but I had foot surgery. Hopefully I can find one this fall to go on. I love your sweet attitude!
Thank you Vickie. That sounds like fun
The room and the cabnet are So gorgeous!
Love love love the cabinet! The blue velvet is the perfect choice! I have a cabinet waiting for love and I know EXACTLY. what I’m going do! ❤️❤️
Oh yay let me know how it turns out
Love your videos! You are so talented and down to earth and relatable.
Thank you so much Martha that means a lot to me
Those prices seem high to me, too.
Thank you Amy! Nothing surprises me these days haha. I just hit block and keep going. I can't wait for yard sale season to come back around
Thank you! and I will try that
Yes, thrift stores have raised prices to boutique levels. I would suggest you find several companies close to you that arrange estate sales, and follow them on social media. Then you can see upcoming sales with photos and spend more time at a single place rather than getting in and out at yard sales. Estate sales are really fun!
You are so right about this!
Such a great upcycle..beautiful saved the cabinet from landfill.
Thank you colleen
It’s so clear how you love and respect old pieces! The cabinet came out beautiful ! I love the set of white dishes! I’m a real fan of white dishes- so versatile and looks great on table. I agree- thrift store prices at higher than I’d like to see ( Long Island NY). As for the topiary, I would leave the red berries but paint pot white.
Thank you so much! You're so right. And great idea
You're so humble and beautiful and gracious. I love your home ❤ It looks so homey and inviting 💕. You're a truly beautiful person 💞😘 God bless you and your family xx
Wow thank you so much Rochelle!!!
Live east of you and am always amazed by how much both thrift stores and people on Facebook are charging. If you haven't gone yet, a fun place to shop is the Texas Art Asylum. Sometimes you can find unique items for crafting and sometimes furniture. Prices vary, but it is fun to go through.
Thank you I'm going to check it out
I’m a newer subscriber.
Thank you! And thank you for sharing
I used to live in that area of Houston and Black Cat Junction is a little higher than other thrift stores but carries better quality goods. Love your channel
That cabinet came out just gorgeous and your home is beautiful!
Thank you Sandra
I’m new to your channel and joined because you are personable and real. Never apologize for being yourself ❤
Thank you so much Paula
*Nice job, Cory❣️🥰 💙 I think you made the best fabric selection with the blue velvet, matching 💙 the blue velvet fabric you used to reupholster your chairs. I absolutely*
*L💙VE IT that you prefer vintage and antique pieces for your home. 😊 Too bad the rude commentors didn't learn to be kind and practice The Golden Rule....no "house training", I guess...or more likely - they need Jesus❣️😊*
*Yes, you have surrounded yourself with over 100k like-minded people on your channel who enjoy the things you do.
Thank you so much
I was born in Texas and have lived here most of my life and those prices you were showing are high for a thrift store. Also I love that you chose the fabric that matched the chair. Good choice.
Thank you Beverly
BTW, your grandmother's inverted punchbowl base in the cabinet will make a gorgeous unique candle holder right-side-up on the table. I find way more vintage bases than punchbowls, and I snatch them up for candle holders. Of course, I prefer the battery-operated candles, but they still look good. Very often those bases are sold In thrift stores (and even antique shops) as flower containers (nothing wrong with using them for that), and, as such, they're sold inexpensively, so it's easy to build a nice collection.
Wow I had no idea it was a stand for the bowl. That makes so much sense! Thank you.
That thrift store's prices are crazy!! Glad you found items you like for reasonable prices.
I agree that prices are getting out of hand. I am in the Lexington, VA area and the prices have gone up and there is less enjoyment in shopping. Always enjoy your videos!! ❤
Yes it is more like a disappoint then fun anymore
We have one in our small town that is a church thrift store that supports a baby pantry it still has amazing prices but all the other ones are outrageous.
I just discovered your channel today! I'm staying in from the heat and looking for interesting new sites to visit. I love your care for older used pieces and making them useful again. I will be checking your site often! Great job on your dining room!
Thank you so much! We are hard at work on our living room makeover plus a few other projects
Another beautiful redo with the cabinet. The picture of the pelican is beautiful! Love your love of old things & your creativity! Keep it up! Xo
Thank you so much Lisa
And i love the blues and whites. Perfect
Thank you Ruth
I am in north middle Ga. And yes thrif store have become very proud of them selfs.
What a shame
Thank you so much Lily
Very deserving Cory , I’m house bound with my husband in home hospice, your videos make my day I love thrifting
Wow I am honored to help cheer you up. My heart is with you!
COREY, the white dish set was a great buy. Gibson is a great name for really sturdy and beautiful dishes !!!
Thank you! That's so good to know
Congratulations on reaching 1 million subscribers!!!
Hi Gail! I wish I was at 1 million. I am at 119,000 right now. Maybe one day! Doubtful. I have had a few videos pass 1 million views though. Either way I am proud of how far I have come. Thank you so much
Another gorgeous piece brought back to life! Love it! Great job!
Thank you so much Jennifer!
You might try the non-profit thrift stores. They are usually cheaper being a charity.
Thanks for the videos.always enjoyable.
Thank you Laurie. These were both non profit thrift stores surprisingly
You did an amazing job on the cabinet! The fabric color is perfect, blend beautifully with the room decor! All of the glassware in the cabinet looks stunning! I look forward to your videos and love everything you do! Thank you for sharing your expertise with us! 😊❤
Thank you so much Pam
$23! Girl, I'm so jealous! That's an awesome rehab job. Thank you for sharing your techniques and inspo. I always learn something from you.
Thank you so much Charlene
Thank you so much. It seems yard sales might be where I go in the future! Great ideas!
What a beautiful piece of furniture! You are so talented! I love the silver tea pot! Love your videos!
Thank you so much Kathy
