Definitely appreciate the love! All my music is found on any of your digital outlets. Just search carlmooremusic wherever you listen to music. I’m a fan of the wa8000 after the mod to it from MFC network. It’s a sleeper in my opinion and well worth the upgrade
Yessss play them drums bro!!! Great tips for the beginners trying to record at home. I preferred the U87 since it sounded the smoothest and you can add however much brightness you want. The WA8K brought out more of that harshness you were talking about while the U87 didn't to my ears. Great vid as always man! PS: Imma need the name of that person who told you the SM7B is not voiced like an SM7. I just wanna talk to them lol.
Appreciate the support as always Bro. Surprisingly, I preferred the wa8k mod. I feel like the top end wouldn’t have needed as much boosting vs the u87. I maybe could’ve gone with the ha73 pre on the wa8k so the saturation was different. Then there’s a 5k sidechain mode on the tubesessor that functions like a desser. I didn’t engage it in the video but I maybe should have. Might explore that in the next video that covers BGVs. Mannnn it was honestly an annoying person talking that way about the SM7B and why I shouldn’t use it for singing vocals
Would love if you did a head to head with the Stam! I just got mine and am still playing with it - but for now still prefer my TLM 103 to it. But also dying to see what the two sound like head to head.
@@CarlMooreMusic oh I’ve seen your previous video, haha! Was lovely too. I’m curious to see how they sound with a chain like this one though since it’s similar (I use a 1073spx into Tubetech CL1B).
I don’t honestly have a preference but I typically use iems for videos here on TH-cam so it doesn’t look so bulky. But I’ve got a few headphones that I like to track with.
Depends on the tonal goal. Vari Mu style comps tend to be more colored than optical. The tubsessor has the extra saturation settings so there may be something to explore in comparing the two.
I feel like my modded WA8K has a little more low end than the SA-800G and at times that is preferred but I feel like I have two solid 800G voiced microphones that I could use on two lead vocals on the same track and that’s a benefit
I was told by someone: “you shouldn’t use the SM7B for vocals because it’s not voiced like the sm7 and it’s s broadcast mic.” Your comment proves otherwise. It’s a solid mic period.
love this man!
@@AaronDaniels123 appreciate it bro!!!
Thank You Sir! Great Video!
Definitely appreciate the continued support
Sounds so dope!! Where is the album? Also, Manley Force w/ Tube was an excellent combination. Sm7B was the worst - it sounded flat and dull.

I actually did that in a previous episode. But I’ll update it and post another video around this idea

@@axxonthetrack I’m on it!!
@@axxonthetrack MFC network as a mod to the WA1B but that I’m working on getting my hands on
@@CarlMooreMusic Can't wait, mate! :) I'm sure it'll be excellent per usual.
Yo man wondering if you prefer tracking vocals with iem over headphones

Do you prefer the Tubesessor or the Weight Tank vari mu for vocals?

@@CarlMooreMusic ok cool
How long did it take to get the Link Mod mailed back to you? I’m considering getting it done to my WA8k.
Not long at all. I think maybe about a week in total
I think the mod is certainly worth it
Should I send my address for the 87 and HA73 orrrr…?
😂😂😂😂😂 it’s butter biscuits smooth
Great video! Do you prefer your modded WA-8000 to the Stam SA-800G?
