Thabk you for letting us hear what she said afterwards on intimacy with God as of higher priority to be developed and long for than operating in any gifts. Good and Sound advice . Sean should commend her on that

19:08 saying “make one up” is not okay. I believe in the gifts, and operate in them, but not like this. Number one, there are other verifiable heresies coming from Bethel. Their “angel cards” they repented of. A man saying that Jesus repented to him for allowing him to endure so much pain (wish I could find the video of that one again). What about the book of Joshua? Where God was really upset about people NOT speaking for Him? It plainly says they dreamed dreams that they made themselves dream. We are in a new covenant, but God does not change. He’s always the same and ALL scripture is useful for teaching and rebuking, including the book of Joshua.
I don’t adhere to any denomination and people like Justin Peters and John MacArthur hurt my heart with their teachings, but I feel the same toward Bethel. I don’t listen to any main stream teachers because we must be careful - there is serious error in what she’s saying.
I get that we have the mind of Christ, but let’s be honest, most “Christian’s” don’t operate in it.

Good video 👆🏻 Identity is a massive origin point for most of these misunderstandings. Sadly so many of our Brethren are still living prior to the cross and not post the cross.

My church (which is very charismatic) also teaches this same thing - that we can all prophesy (or have the ability to) according to scripture. So, what this lady is saying sounds precisely like what I hear from my own church. In both instances I understand what they’re saying, but I also had the same objections at first based on my discomfort with prophesying as whole.

Great work brother, another key thing that I do see is that there seems to be a misunderstanding about how prophets operated under the OT and the NT (maybe that's why there is so much a focus on the sinner-under Adam identity instead of the new creation in Christ?). I think Romans 12 highlights this key difference: "God has given me grace to speak a warning about pride. I would ASK EACH OF YOU to be emptied of self-promotion and not create a false image of your importance. Instead, honestly assess your worth by using your God-given faith as the standard of measurement, and then you will see your true value with an appropriate self-esteem. In the human body there are many parts and organs, each with a unique function. And so it is in the body of Christ. For though we are many, we’ve all been mingled into one body in Christ. This means that we are all vitally joined to one another, with each contributing to the others. God’s marvelous grace imparts to each one of us varying gifts and ministries that are uniquely ours. SO if God has given you the grace-gift of prophecy, you must activate your gift by USING THE PROPORTION of faith you have to prophesy. If your grace-gift is serving, then thrive in serving others well. If you have the grace-gift of teaching, then be actively teaching and training others. If you have the grace-gift of encouragement, then use it often to encourage others. If you have the grace-gift of giving to meet the needs of others, then may you prosper in your generosity without any fanfare. If you have the gift of leadership, be passionate about your leadership. And if you have the gift of showing compassion, then flourish in your cheerful display of compassion." (Rom 12:3-8 - TPT). The interesting to me is how it simply points to one living out / bearing the fruit of what He's placed in us (be it via prophecy, service, teaching... whatever we do in word or deed) WITHOUT being afraid of "being stoned for being a false prophet" while we are growing into His fulness. Keep shining your light!

What this guy doesn't get is that there is prophesy and prophecy. Prophesying is being able to communicate what is in the word of God, what the Holy Spirit is telling you. So, if you hear from God, then you can prophesy. And that is everybody.
Also, this guy is clearly from a rigidly reformed denomination that basically has been taught to parrot, and that being, that being that the things listed as gifts can only be gifts and nothing else.
That actually doesn't make sense. Here's one reason: everybody who reads the Bible and understands, is then able to teach what they have learned. They are teaching, and yet the reformed crowd says that the things listed in the gift category can only be gifts.
But all things pertaining to life and Godliness are available to us. See, there is a gift of healing, and then there is simply healing. The gift of healing is meant for the purpose of the whole body, and then healing, that is not a gift, is for the purpose of just the individual. The same with teaching, concerning a large scale vs a small amount of people. Some have the gifting of teaching, so they are able to speak in a broad way, as to relate what needs to be told, and others can only do it for a small amount of people.
Same goes for the others that are in the gift section. A husband is a deacon over his family but not a deacon over other families, and there are elders that are only over their own lives concerning those they are on contact with, but not the rest of the body of Christ.

Doesn't Scripture reference "schools of prophets"? Does that imply "learning" aspects of certain gifts?
