According to Justin the thief on the cross would have to publicly give back all that he stole before it is counted as true repentance to be forgiven. But in scripture, we see jesus saying, "Today you will be with me in paradise!" to the thief. How did everybody miss that?

In light of Mike's winger video I think it's more understandable where Justin is coming from. Although I do believe that Justin could have presented it better. Showing bennys previous repentance and how he goes back to his vomit, so to speak.
