- Of the many big releases this year, few players would have expected a new title in Ivory Tower's The Crew series. While it doesn't seem like a big deal initially, the open-world racing title, where you can drive cars and bikes alongside piloting boats and planes, is seeing several changes.
There are new vehicles to commandeer, a smaller but more focused setting, quality-of-life features and much more. Yes, there are comparisons to make with Playground Games' Forza Horizon series, but it's not looking too shabby. What else can you forward to, though?
The Crew Motorfest launches on September 14th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Here are the 15 most significant differences between the title and its predecessor, The Crew 2. - เกม
Theres a BIG thing about importing your collection. Once you click the option, it is ongoing. Onve you buy a vehicle in TC2, it is available in your Motorfest garage. This includes vehicles not yet available in Motorfest. This one feature alone makes Ivory Tower the GOAT

"While [the handling is] still not quite at the level of Forza titles, players have reported that the driving is a big improvement" - sorry to be "rude" now, but The Crew Motorfest's handling is fantastic in its own way and doesn't need to be another Forza. I mean, if you wan Forza's handling, play Forza.
I personally prefer the handling in TCM. Both when compared to TC2 (for obvious reasons) and when compared to FH's handling.
Im honestly more intrested seeing this compete with TDUSC if it comes out this year

The only thing I really expect is to drive luxury cars around sunny island. Everything else is just gravy.
The Crew 2 really killed itself for me when they enabled snow in Los Angeles and Miami. WTF were they thinking? Hope we don't see that here.

This game continues to sound and look more interesting the more I hear about it. I hope that when I purchase the game it matches the hype. I like The Crew 1 & 2. So that's another reason why I'm very interested in this one too.
Do you know if you are going to be able to remap steering from the Left Stick to the D-pad on PS5 controllers?
I *think* it was possible, not entirely sure though.
It definitely was possible to freely remap any buttons to whatever you wished. Want to accelerate pressing X? Sure, you can do that.
Cheers - I'm probably just old but for some reason I prefer using the D-pad for steering.... just a preference and it frustrates me when you pay premium for a game and can't remap controls.@@DatWut
@@NoForkEnchants Well, I grew up in PS1 days and was used to DPad as well due to that, but nowadays I prefer analog inputs, both for accel/brake as well as steering.
The eight biggest reasons I’m buying this game:
The grand race
600 plus vehicles
The beautiful open world oahu with the improved graphics
Improved vehicle sounds
Improved handling
More realistic environment effects
Real nighttime driving
Quad bike!
And Widebody Hellcat
600 vehicles isn't that much of a selling point. In 1994 I played racing games that had 8 cars and still had a blast. Let's see how well curated the list is.

Yeah I agree I loved the massive us map in the crew 2 but I think as this map is smaller it has made the devs put in much more detail which i love

How's the trucks - because they were awful in crew 2. Would like some nice places with mud, and hill routes for hill climbs.
Looks like a solid good race game.
I'm more of an enthusiast than a casual. This feels like cod on wheels. I'm after the essence - best i can say is TT isle of man 3 gives that. Drive club was pretty serious too.

I hope the driving is satisfying, unlike the crew 2 in my opinion. There’s a free 5 hour playable demo sometime in September so we’ll see. If that fails we only have solar crown to fall back on for even half decent driving engagement…

Hello, it's me again. Don't worry this is just a little fun fact: Ivory Tower has confirmed that the Motorpass won't be a thing in Motorfest. So we may never get that "battle-pass" type of model in Motorfest. Do I know specifically what will be in these updates? no as they happen every 3 - 2 months, which gives them time to create surprising high quality updates.

@@BajanRex my pc has to weak gpu so i wont be able to get it until i upgrade my of is quite old so i think i need to buy a new pc witch i cant for at least a year, the minimum gpu you need is gtx 1060 and i only have gtx 980 but i have 16 gb ram and i5 cpu

I tried Crew 2 twice and was bad, you might like it tho, sure grind for the cars and take them to this game, although they might already be available in Motorfest.
I would say motorfest has much more detail and improved vehicle sounds and handling but the crew 2 has an absolutely massive us map that is huge and fun to explore in my opinion

There will be 80 new vehicles, unlike forza they won't make recycled cars a big part of their updates. If you watch their Behind the wheel #4 video they tell you outright that they have 80 new types of vehicles.

smaller map = higher quality map
@Phendranaguardianyeah the map is smaller than the crew 2 but it is still pretty sizeable imo as the areas you race through in the grand race are nice and open with breakable fences and branches really looking forward to finally playing this game I missed out on the beta

How much smaller is the map
Ubisoft goes all Forza Horizon in the Far Cry 6 mould and color scheme. Ubisoft is so predictable and boring.
This game may look great but in the end it will be just another borefest of driving in a lifeless, empty beautiful looking world that soon becomes as boring as the long rides from repetitive race to repetitive and uninspiring race.
That beautiful world loses your interest very soon, there is no challenge to play this game that hardly requires any skills so soon ends up, like every Ubisoft game, on your pile of games you never play (again) as there is no benefit in playing it and goes on sale at about half the price within 2-3 months.
So… Also Forza will be boring right? Ahah

@@csabazombori9862 but it will never be true driving game, the driving with cars is not very good, cars are slow campared to normal racing games, and it dosen’t calculate cars perfomence like other racing games does, its game where you can do a lot more outside driving, but its 10 years old and i am sick of Gta 5 and they keep milking it, i will be excited when the next Gta dropps through, but Gta 5 is getting very outdated at this point its really starting to show its age, but you should never campare any racing game to an open world action game, while the world action game does pretty much everything, it does the cars driving and perfomence so much worse than a proper racing game
The Crew Reboot is a reason why Sony should buy Ubisoft
