Across the United States, school buses have a certain right of way. You can't try to banish it. If you try to force it away, there can be a lot of fines.
For just a moment there I thought I was going to find the answer to the question mankind has asked for thousands of years: "fire truck with red flashing lights or stopped yellow school bus with flashing red lights .... who gets priority?"
The school bus has an emergency fire truck behind the students. what should I do? Under the School Bus Act, when it stops and flashes a red signal, it sticks out a red mandatory stop sign, during which you cannot try to force the bus away, but the firefighter in the video is trying to force the bus away . Do firefighters get a lot of dollar fines?
Emergency vehicles can pass, safely, ushered around the bus, when waved on, or when they see the cross arm and lights turn off. Just like going through red lights, or the wrong way; the only time a fine can be issued is if they are not going to a call and do such things, or rarely, depending on the county, town, and state, operate with just lights, or use their emergency lights and siren(s), for non-emergencies, again rarely ever doing such.
Actually you'd be surprised in most states school busses have the right of way especially when children are on board. It's not easy in an inter-city environment trying to find a "spot " to pull 40+ feet of bus over, and the bus driver can't move if the cars in front of them don't move, hence why most departments dispatch multiple units to reports of fire. I'm a retired engineer from a ladder company in Connecticut and trust me as a driver it amazed me to see the blatant stupidity of drivers.
bus driver did the best they could have done it was the cars in front of the bus blocking the bus from being able to move over why it had to go up on the sidewalk
No, you are wrong mate. It is a one way road, so you can move either right OR left, the bus had to move left as it was the clearer path, cars were on his right, please use your eyes and head before throwing a angry comment, the bus was doing what it could with the room it had, thank you.
Man... the way he whipped that truck straight out the station on that narrow street.. NICE!
They have to do that many times a day.
It’s All In Practice.

That Fire Truck could’ve backed up and went to the other way
Not safely, further delaying the response, by trying to back down a road, into wrong way traffic.
That school bus driver is going to lose his job for blocking a firetruck

This guy is driving fast and Reckless
it's a fire truck you expect him to drive slow for an emergency
Someone needs to fire the bus driver. The Law is to .ove to the RIGHT for lights and sirens
