As a kid, I thought it was the coolest thing ever to have a rear driver like that. In my child mind the fire truck was part semi frame.. LOL.. As a adult I still thing the tillers are cool :) ... It is cool to see the POV from a rear driver like that, I hope there is more content like this.
One of the coolest videos yet. First time I have seen a video by the tillerman on a ladder truck. Neat to see how he steers around turns. Need more of them.
Wym why does he have the a steering wheel is that’s it, it’s bc the back of the tiller truck turns via back driver aka him in video it helps get though tight streets etc
He’s checkin his active 911 to try to get more information on the Structure Fire they are en route to. He’s only on it for a few seconds and then he puts it down and puts both hands on the steering wheel.
I’m curious to know what the heck the Tillerman was looking at on his smart smart phone. If it’s somehow makes him a better operator, then I’m still perplexed. Otherwise, it’s an accident waiting to happen. 😐
@@paintballgaming1090 LOL! As I said, such great focus! He doesn't need to be checking on anything except to be tillering. Dude will cause an accident sooner than later.
Bro it's his GoPro and he's checking active 911 for updates about the scene or he's checking the map to help the driver out please stop throwing shots at people who might one day save you

Love the blue LEDs on the ladder rungs!

Damn those scene lights turned night into day
This is cool view from the tiller seat
Quickly into service, enjoy watching Harrisburg operate.
as a local they're all like this - not just Harrisburg.
at least around here - lots of volunteer fire departments have some serious kit
I like the guy that just walks out and rides away on a moped.
Amazing truck.
Sweet video kyle
Coming from a engine company I probably should know this, but curious who fly’s the stick? Tillerman?
Regardless, nice video and good work as usual🤙🏻
Driver. He is closest to the turntable and outrigger controls.
Whenever I see this fire truck, it reminds me of Kramer from Seinfeld
It was the coolest part of the truck man it was a great driver back there
What is with the flashing red light on the upper right of the cab?
It's the lights on the outside you can see them flashing on the left side as well
parece muy difícil conducir algo tan grande aunque se le notaba tranquilo y miraba mucho el movil.
MAN if I EVER, EVER carried a cellphone on a call my job/career would/ will be in jeoparded
@@johnlang150 jeoparded?¿?
cool alwayz admired
What the point of the wheel?
Wym why does he have the a steering wheel is that’s it, it’s bc the back of the tiller truck turns via back driver aka him in video it helps get though tight streets etc
It gives the ladder guy something to do so his hands don't get cold to climb the ladder safely. .p
It help steer the tiller around tight turns
Dude, you really need to get your shocks checked.
On the phone while driving a tiller

He was obviously checking the map to help the driver navigate to the correct spot.

Bro your name is LADF and you don't know shit about being a tiller man
If your the tiller man you dont need to be on your phone.
He's checking the 911 dispatch for updates since they sometimes give info about the scene
Does this firefight know he's being recorded technically speaking he could get reprimanded for being on his cell phone while driving
Bro it's his GoPro and he's checking active 911 for updates about the scene or he's checking the map to help the driver out please stop throwing shots at people who might one day save you
And he isn't the driver he only helps turn the back end of the truck which is only needed on sharp corners
