Til this day I’m still currently pushing my 12” MTX 9500 dvc sub. I’m never replacing it with nothing else until it finally burns out. I’ve had that thing since 2006 and it’s still going strong in 2024 now! SHEEEESSH! 🔊 🎶
Those things were good subs but were notorious for tearing surrounds just like that. I got tired of warranting them after awhile and went another direction.
@@michaelogg1254 nah mate, xmax is a constant value, what might have increased is the xmech (mechanical limits) due to the soft parts being pretty loose
@@michaelogg1254not even touching it's bottom rated power imagine a salt 6 or something similar even a big boss 8k which is what I'm about to feed to my 2 Solo X 15's I currently am pushing them with 2 Taramps bass3k one per sub
I have reconed it once already but it had tensile lead issues and parts from thelordofbass are so expensive at the moment that I’m going to wait for better prices to rebuild it again
That is some beautiful excursion right there, damn.
I have that same sub since 1997 and to this day no problems it’s still pounding like it’s brand new 2500 watt amp these speakers are a beast 🦍🦍🦍

It’s tore on one side
What is the xmax on that sub
I have no clue but being that it’s old and pretty loose I would assume it’s much higher then when it was new

@@georgenichols8217 being that this sub is from 2005 it’s become very soft doesn’t take the same power to get it to move as it would have 19 years ago
Recone it!!
