- Hi Everyone,
Well, after not being able to ride at the Pirelli/ Ducati day back in July, you can imagine my excitement when I got invited to ride on track last month with Ducati UK at the iconic GP track that is SILVERSTONE.
I tried to use my Insta 360 for the first time and although footage is good, the camera couldn't decide whether it wanted to pick up wind noise or engine note! So unfortunately, that detail was out of my control!
I think it's safe to say that the V4S stole my heart completely.

When you were on the streetfighter V4 passing that guy on the panigale V4, I was so happy. Schooling the guy on the proper track bike with a no-fairing street brawler was awesome. Obviously not a competition out there but you ride with some gusto! Hell yea lady power!
That is the finest set of leathers I've ever seen.
Not many things get your blood flowing through your body like the sound of a Ducati V4 with a dry clutch, both at start-up and as you come off the throttle when entering the pit. It was a vicarious pleasure watching you sail past other riders, on each of the bikes you rode.

I’m so pleased you’re able to get back in the saddle and have some fun again. I’ve had the pleasure of riding a few Ducati’s on the road, including the Panigale V4S, it’s an incredible bike isn’t it, just mind blowing engineering! That guy walking past at the end. Lol. Used to play karate years ago. I’d be warming up before the lesson, practising say some punches and some muppet would always walk across the front of me actually within range! What can I say, they’re f’ing everywhere…!

I’m so in love with my town that I’m always moved when someone incenses a local excellence, and Ducati is one of those, absolutely. I live very close to Borgo Panigale and I personally know sone persons who work at the headquarter. The thing that always emerges when they speak about their factory is how surprisingly they’re able to do what they do with a relatively small amount of people employed, compared to big companies such Japanese ones, for example. And this “resource gap”, is even more perceptible in racing, either superbike or MotoGP.
So although I have not done anything that contributes to this success (maybe just some reliability test on some throttle bodies and injectors), I’m a little bit proud about that…. Furthermore no one can’t say V4S isn’t a beast.

I run my ‘22 Hyper SP in Fast Group and its mega and so much fun - only getting passed on the straights but I’m having much more fun than everyone else

What a great day for you! Who wouldn't love a ducati day on a track! Being they brought the hypermotard I am kind of surprised they didn't bring the multistrada. Great track footage Kate and IMHO you ride very capably. There really is something different and special in V4 power delivery compared to inline 4. For 8 years I rode a Honda VFR 1200 V4 and between 4500 and 8000rpm it transformed into being almost feral with its character and power. Well done Kate, you sure had a top day.

Noticed now and earlier on uk circuits, you don't have to remove mirrors and headlights, blinkers and stuff, not even put tape on them ?

I am very fond of Ducati bikes, I've had three in my biking life so far, and one day would like another. My trouble with them is the size, they just don't fit my body shape very well... OK the M750 Monster I had back in 97 fit me great, but the Sportclassic Biposto I had and the Streetfighter 1098S I had were both very tall and felt quite unnatural to ride sadly. I'd really like a spin on the new Ducati Monster to see if I like it, as I could see me swap my Gixer for one if I did.... although I do love my Gixer....
The V4 Pan is an "interesting" bike, and Silverstone is a fun track.
I must admit prefer the HP4 more, but I'm old now.

That was a great vlog . Christ that 360 camera is so good that at times it had the clarity of CGI , so much so i was thinking ffs is this CGI in sections till that wee pain in the arse fly sadly passed away on the lense and refused to piss off . It was actually a thrill to watch the track footage ..... Nice one

never been on a track, for the road, simple: Multistrada v4s pikes peak, as it is the only one that comes close to my S1000XR .😉
The bit when you were on sf V4 & tried to overtake the bloke in front, he must of seen you & thought “ i don’t think so” so just left you behind 😂

Looks like you found a new love, was it a big smile around the track mixed with a few oh crap this thing is fast. If. You got the chance to take a F1 car for a spin on that track would you jump at the opportunity?

I liked the way you passed the guy on the Desmosedici, Classy 🙂 Shame about the 360 deg view footage as it was hard to see the lines you were taking as the fisheye distorts the view so badly. If you ever get to ride Laguna Seca, let us know what you think. Best be quick through, as the house owners surrounding the circuit are pushing to close it, due to noice restrictions. Ridiculous considering the race track has been there for decades before any residential housing occurred.
Silverstone is not my fav track, and also hard to learn fast….you did very well !
