    Oh this test is like my biggest fear. I can't remember how I've felt the past 2 weeks and if I went to the doctor and they told me nothing is wrong and I don't get a diagnosis I think my world would flip. If this is normal how am I supposed to live?

    • @larizzo
      @larizzo ปีที่แล้ว +15

      It is absolutely normal (edit: to have these worries if you do have anxiety, I mean, not to have anxiety) and living day-to-day and having trouble remembering the previous days/weeks can also be a part of anxiety disorders. If you're looking for a diagnosis and are worried you may not remember enough issues to answer truthfully, I suggest writing them down. Either have a small notebook and pen or simply a notes app on your phone and make a note whenever you notice you're feeling bad. Even a quick one can do if you're in a pinch. Just try to review them at the end of the day and add something that may help you remember the situation, like a name or place. Then simply count them. This can also be helpful if you at any point get a therapist and decide to discuss these issues with them but have trouble measuring the impact they have on your life. Hope it helps, best of luck on your journey ❤ - a fellow person with anxiety

    I got a 21/21. But the reason for this is because I am living with abusive parents, so it's no surprise. Before you think there is a problem with you, look at your environment and ask if this is a normal reaction to a hostile environment.

    I've got 19 on this test, 12/12 on the dyscalculia and 5/9 on the dyslexia test. My anxiety is not as bad as it used to be, but it was really bad when I still lived with my parents. I also think I have ADHD and lately I've been wondering if it is all connected. I think I developed anxiety because of undiagnosed ADHD and severe diagnosed dyscalculia. When I was a kid I had a lot of panic attacks and began to develop social anxiety. And I think I have developed GAD as a teenager. I finally got the right help now at age 28 and I'm hopefull for a future in where I can finish an education and have a job and have a normal life.

    As someone who has had anxiety since I was 2 and professionally diagnosed, I can agree with this that I got a 18, and that is severe, and I was diagnosed with something similar to this so yes I would say if anybody is on edge with this test, I would say is pretty accurate for a TH-cam test.

    • @ArijeAikedeHaas
      @ArijeAikedeHaas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand that you felt that way. People who struggle with anxiety experience these feelings in all kinds of different situations. Especially when the anxiety becomes generalized.
      Right now, you’re saying, “Your pacing induced anxiety within me.”. That means that you make your environment responsible for your anxiety. The problem with that is that we generally don’t have a lot of influence on our environment. And therefore, you also don’t have a lot of influence on how you feel.
      If, on the other hand, you except that you struggle with anxiety. It turns into something that you do have influence on; it turns into something that you can change.
      By clicking on this video you have already made a decision to explore this side of yourself.If you decide to continue, you will be able to find out where these feelings are coming from. And that way, you would start to understand which fears you can let go of. A psychologist can help with that.

    I’ve always had it, my parents even admit to me having it. As a kid I would stress myself out, then overthink about how I was overthinking, so I would bite myself to stop worrying. It got so bad about 2 years ago. I would have anxiety attacks 2 a day in and out of school to the point where I would throw up. I’ve gotten better but I still stress and can’t calm myself. My parents tell me I should stop worrying. They won’t take me to a doctor. I also think I may have ADHD that could have spiraled from my anxiety. They tell me I need to stop over thinking and focus on other things. I’ll have months where my anxiety is there but is calmer and months where it’s hard not to yell at someone from all that’s built up inside. Hopefully when Im off enough I’ll get myself checked out. 😅 I also got a 12 lol

      Oh my god, I feel so seen. I've experienced nearly the exact same things - but instead of ADHD, I think I am autistic. For all my life, I've felt like an outcast, like I was weird or... Different. For years, I've been slowly suspecting that I may be autistic. I've been doing research on it for a while, I've gotten word from people who have actually been diagnosed with autism, etc etc. I relate to autistic people so much, I feel understood by many autistic folks. I've tried to get an official diagnosis, I want to know if my suspicions are correct, I've tried, but only once. My doctor brushed me off because, and I quote, "do well in school." The thing is, most the time I was in school, I had to cheat to get my grades higher - which, I am ashamed to admit. I'd get 40s-50s out of 100 on my tests, I never made much friends, I always felt like it was something I did, I was scared to even ask to go to the bathroom. I don't do well in school. I've done some shameful things in school - that are now on my permanent record. That's really the only reason he gave. He brushed me off, in that very moment, I brushed myself off, too. Everyone telling me I wasn't autistic, yet treated me different for no reason I could think of. My whole life, I was treated differently, I never knew why, and I still don't know why. In that very moment in front of my mother, I knew she'd never believe me now. Before so, she didn't believe be still, but now she's sure of it because it was reassured by awful medical care. Where I live, health care is some of the worst in the country. Many of my other doctors and therapists were horrible, making me not wanting to reach out for some mental help. And now, I am sure I'll never ask for a doctors help again. Over and over, told I was wrong, I started to believe it. And now, I'm in some sort of black and white area - it's like as if I believed it but half of me also didn't because everyone else didn't. I've always wanted to fit in, and to make sure I do, some of me has stopped believing myself. I'm not sure if this really holds weight, but I've also taken many tests made by professionals and researchers and such, like the one in this video, haha. On every single one, I've gotten a high probability of being autistic. I'm not saying this automatically makes me autistic, but its something to think about. My sister has ADHD, too. I've heard many neurodivergent people have family members with similar neurodivergent conditions, as well.
      I have severe depression and anxiety too. That doesn't make life any easier, in fact, it makes it worse. It's hard for me to process any of what I'm told, information, instructions, emotions, simple controls.. I overthink, I get worried someone's out to get me, all of it just piles on, really. It was hard for me to accept that I had severe anxiety and depression when I was diagnosed. Even if I knew I was depressed and anxious, actually being diagnosed was hard to understand for me. To this day, I still don't want to accept it, and this was years ago. I don't want to accept it because I don't want it to be true. I wish I could fit in, I wish I could understand social cues, I wish I knew what was happening with me, I wish I understood why no one in my life likes me, and treats me different, I wish I could understand why no one believes me or wants to help me. I still am unable to get help, out of fear of being hurt and invalidated again and again, and the times I've tried getting help always ended horribly, with my family seeing me as a worse person or something. It just hurts, it's hard.
      I'm really sorry if I talk a lot. I have a hard time explaining myself simply. I'm also sorry you went through that. I'm not exactly like you, but dammit it's hard to not relate. I bite myself too, I overthink too. I really do feel seen by your comment, since I relate so hard. I've never really been seen, so this is something new, and something that touched my heart. I'm sorry you went/are going through this. I really really do hope for the best for you. ❤

    eh, 14-15 but I don't see what good it would do to pay for a diagnosis..... i guess, I don't see how it's helpful. To know, is helpful but a notorized piece of paper doesn't make it better.... Aquiring money is stressful (adds to the anxiety of life), so aquiring more money to get a diagnosis is like putting gangrene in an open wound. I do believe getting help is always good but sometimes it is not cost effective. :( Thanks for sharing!!

    • @ArijeAikedeHaas
      @ArijeAikedeHaas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I get what you are saying. Prices for diagnoses can be absolutely ridiculous and it's not always even the magic solution. However, if the diagnosis helps someone accept that anxiety is something they struggle with, then I think it would be worth it.
      Basically, the issue is that if people make external factors responsible for their anxiety, then it remains outside of their own control. But as soon as they accept that they themselves struggle with anxiety, then it turns into something they do have control over, something they can change and win agency over with time.
      That being said, if somebody manages to do this without a diagnosis, then I see nothing wrong with that either. An extra session with a psychologist might be a better investment in that case.

    Being honest it's more than difficult not to have all the questions with answer 3, or 2 (one of them in my case) when you got a war just behind the border and two million refugees in your country. I live in Warsaw, less than 100 meters away from Ukrainian consulate. I try to help and provide people waiting there for hours (some of them decide to spend a night outside the consulate to be sure they get served in the morning) with coffee, hot water, instant soups or sandwiches.
    I understand the test is universal, created in pre-covid era, but today I guess most of people here would be on top of the list with high number of points. Thank you for this video nonetheless, it helps to understand one's thinking.
    Have you considered making a video about where's the "norm"? I mean I'm dyslexic, recently learned I have ADHD (it's a totally new concept for me but allows me to understand why I struggled so much as a kid). I see many examples of being out of the so called norm, but are there like boundaries within which the norm is? Are there even any "normal" people (I hate this word in terms of dyslexia and I don't want to insult anyone, it's just that I don't know how else to tell you what I want to say)?

    • @ArijeAikedeHaas
      @ArijeAikedeHaas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The way dyslexia is diagnosed is not very consistent which is a big critique points already for many years. So I guess we’re not really sure what exactly the Norm is. But it is a very interesting topic and and a good idea for a upcoming video.

    I knew I had anxiety, but not Sever Anxiety...I mean, I do have some phobias here and then, but I never knew I had that much of anxiety. I thought I went through it in 9th and 10th grade.

    Thank you so much for making this video, it’s helped show me how much progress I’ve made after years of dealing with severe anxiety often caused by my ASD. I just got 9 which is incredible for me, because even though the anxiety is still there I’ve improved massively from where I was before.

    I’ve been living with severe anxiety for more than 10 years. It is like a living hell, being constantly on the edge. These days I can’t even remember what happened in last few days due to mind fogging.

    I've taken this test a number of times in my life each time the results have reflected how **** my boss at the time was, so it seems to me more a test of how anxiety inducing your work is more than if you have an anxiety disorder?

      In your situation that seems to be about right. I’ve been lucky when it comes to the bosses that I had up till now. But I can imagine that a bad relationship with a boss can be seriously anxiety inducing.

    no offence but half the quistions are repeated
    1st was "have you felt nervous?"
    2nd was " couldn't you stop worrying?"
    3rd was " couldn't you stop worying the last week?"
    they just paraphrasing
    same for 4th & 5th

    a person witch diagnosed anxiety here, if you even remember the last 2 weeks you don't have anxiety, many people with anxiety have memory loss

    I'm officially diagnosed with severe anxiety for years (almost a decade at this point) and things haven't changed much 🥲 Scored 21, I really don't know if my last 2 weeks were REALLY bad for my anxiety (work-wise and health-wise) or if my anxiety is still too severe... 🤔
    Now I've just entered work vacation (a little bit more of a month to rest), surely some things I scored a 3 rn will be 1 or a 2 in a few weeks
