- İşte ziyaret ettiğinizde zaman tünelinde geziyormuş gibi hissettirecek Eyüp Sultan Camii;
Eyüp Sultan Camii Hakkında Bilgi
Eyüp Sultan Camii, İstanbul'un fethinden 5 yıl sonra 1458 yılında inşa edilmiştir. Camiden önce yanında inşa edilmiş olan Eyüp Sultan Hazretleri'nin Türbesi'nin yer alması bu caminin önemini vurgulamaktadır. Külliye yapısı olarak inşa edilen camii, İstanbul’un Haliç kıyısının ucundaki Eyüp semtinde bulunmaktadır. Arapların İstanbul’u kuşatması sırasında şehit olan ve İslamiyet'i ilk kabul edenlerden biri olan Hz. Eyyub El-Ensari’nin kabrinin bulunduğu yerdedir. Yapı cami, medrese, aşhane, hamam ve türbe gibi birimlerinin olduğu, büyük bir tarihi eserdir. Zaman içerisinde iyice harap olan camiyi III. Selim minareleri ve temelleri hariç tamamen yıktırmış ve yeniden yaptırmıştır. 1798’de başlayıp 2 sene süren yapım çalışmaları sonunda ise cami günümüzdeki halini alır.
Eyüp Sultan Türbesi
Eyüp Sultan Türbesi, Eyüp Sultan Camii'nin hemen yanında yer almaktadır. Bu türbe Hz. Muhammed'in ordusunda sancaktar olup İstanbul'un muhasarası sırasında şehit olan Hz. Eyyub Ensari'nin kabridir. Mezar İstanbul'un fethinden sonra bulunmuş ve üzerindeki türbe 1459 yılında camii ile birlikte inşa edilmiştir. Eyüp Sultan Türbesi'nin dışı çinilerle süslüdür ve çok fazla ziyaretçiyle dolup taşar. Türbe, Eyüp Sultan Camii adıyla bilinen ünlü ve kutsal camiin kuzey tarafında ve iç avlusunun hemen önündedir. İstanbul’da yapılan ilk eser budur. Türbe sekiz köşeli olup tek kubbelidir. Kesme taştan yapılmıştır. Kubbe cephe yüzlerine oturtulmuştur. Kasnağı yoktur. Cephe köşelerine kabartma sütunlar yapılmıştır. Pencere söveleri mermerdir. Kapısını bulunduğu cephe hariç, diğerlerinde alt üst iki pencere bulunmaktadır. Alt pencerelerin pirinçten dökme kapakları mevcuttur . Pencerelere Allah ve Muhammed isimleri ve bunun altına da kelime-i tevhid yazılmıştır. Türbenin içi, alt pencerelerine kadar bütün duvarlar mavi ve beyaz renkte desenli çinilerle kaplıdır. Buraya Besmele-i Şerif ve Tevbe Suresi’nin ayetleri yazılmıştır. Türbenin ortasında etrafı gümüş şebekeli bir parmaklık içinde Hz.Zeyd’in sandukası bulunmaktadır. Üzerine siyah atlastan yapılmış ve sarı simle işlenmiş güzel bir yazı ile “Kisve-i Şerif” örtülmüştür.
Eyüp Sultan Hazretleri Kimdir ?
Eyüp Sultan Hazretleri (Hz.Halid bin Zeyd Ebû Eyyub el-Ensârî), hicret sırasında herkesin Hz. Muhammed’i (S.A.S.) evinde ağırlamak istediği zamanlarda, Peygamber efendimizin devesi Kusva'nın Eyüp Sultan Hazretleri'nin evinin önünde diz çökmesinden ötürü bu şerefe nail olmuş sahabedir. Eyüp Sultan Hazretleri, Hz. Muhammed’in (S.A.S.) söylemiş olduğu “İstanbul elbette fetih olunacaktır; onu fetheden kumandan ne güzel kumandan, onu fetheden asker ne güzel askerdir” müjdesine nail olabilmek için 90’lı yaşlarında olmasına rağmen at üzerinde İstanbul kuşatmasına katılmıştır. Ve kuşatma sırasında hayatını kaybetmiştir. Eyüp Sultan Hazretleri’nin kabrinin yerinin tespit edilmesi ise 1453’de İstanbul’un Fethi ile mümkün olabilmiştir. Fatih, kabrin bulunmasını ister ve bunu hocası Ak-Şemsettin’e söyler. Akşemsettin’in tarif edildiği bir yer kazılınca da kabirden “Haza kabri Halit İbn-i Zeyd” yazılı bir mermer çıkar ve kesin teyit yapılmış olur.
Eyüp Sultan Camii'ne Nasıl Gidilir?
Eyüp ilçesinde bulunan cami ve türbeye ulaşım oldukça kolaydır. Metrobüs hattıyla, Edirne Kapıya gelinmesi ve daha sonra Eyüp yönüne giden otobüse binilmelidir. Eyüp durağında indiğinizde, Haliç kıyısı tarafında Cami ve türbeyi görebilirsiniz. Anadolu yakasından gelecek kişiler, Eminönü son duraktan kalkan Eyüp seferli otobüslere binebilirler.
