If its 150k on original rods @ 260 kw and i wanted to track and do long road trips, I'd rebuild the engine with good forged parts, stroke to 2.2, fic id1300, wb460, set of S2s with springs, tune the 712 to about 320 kw. Orc659 twin plate. Good set of coil overs. But for you i think you should roll the dice on the old motor, do some track days, long road trips and see how long it takes before you throw a rod or a bit of crank walk, might even lose the block, which would make great youtubes ;)))

Smart move with ditching rotary. Owning a rotary is for the crazy, rotor diehards - not the usual enthusiast. Loving the Evo and make sure you do more in car videos - it sounds nuts and goes bloody hard

GT Pumps 712 is based on an Evo 9 Turbo. Journal Bearing, not Ball bearing.

Best way to go which i've done a number of time's with Evo's is Go straight to a Built motor save yourself the money now with a block without a rod or piston smashed through it, Gtp712 is a Perfect turbo for a Built 2.0L but if you want to track it you can't beat a 2.2 or 2.3L :) Nitto, carrillo etc GSC S2 274/274 or Kelford 272/274 are the best cams to go for in the 300-500kw range,
Tommi Mak version came in both RS and GSR. GSR one has everything a normal GSR has plus different suspension, wheels, the different turbo internals and the front bumper.
Ye these are more fun with stock turbos on E85, maybe a modified 9 turbo and ethanol. I built mine 2.2 with a G30-900 and it's fun but the novalty wears off for the money it costs. Had more fun at lower power driving hard in the twistie

@Dark Horse how much power though? I'm at 360kw 40-50% 98 an e85 mix 250-280kms on pure e85 with mix of city/highway 😪

Nah bro, awd, built for wrc, bulletproof 4G63 motors, trust me, normal lancers have no power whatsoever. Try getting 1000 hp in a normal sohc lancer, it's impossible.
