At the dealer they do it with an extractor so no need to get under the car or loosen bolts (do it from top). they sell a manual one on Amazon for 60-120 dollars. Actually any car that has the oil filter accessible from top it would make sense to extract the oil.
@@nestorautorepair Thank you so much for responding. I only asked because I'm learning and someone told me that's the only way to remove sludge from the oil pan. I am a female with a 2017 F-PACE 35t. I am trying to learn as much as possible so that I'm not taken advantage of in shops and I want to independently fix anything that I can myself. That's how I came across your video. With reading the oil gage, is it supposed to show from the bottom line to the top line?
@@reikokang7910 sucking the oil through the dipstick tube is nice and easy but it doesn't get rid of the sludge/gunk at the bottom of the pan like a traditional oil drain does
@@reikokang7910 true, but if you have to replace the entire engine because an oil passage got blocked...then 600 bucks is comparitivelycheap, but learning to do it yourself is the cheapest option :D
To reset the oil service reminder: I just saw that you turn on the accessory, open the driver's door, pop the hood latch, wait for chimes to stop and scroll to the vehicle information, go to the oil level and press the brake & gas at the same time. It should go through the cycle to reset it.

Not good for your engine , any metal or trash will always stay in the oil pan very bad bad for your engine ,
@@nestorautorepairwith a drain like this, are you dropping the oil pan? Is there a screen and magnet to clean in these?
Hi I did not drop the oil pan , no magnets 🧲 in the engine only in the transnational

What year f-pace is this? I thought F-Pace takes 90mm filter wrench
Is this the same procedure for the v6 supercharged engine on the f-pace S model?
Yes
How do you reset the oil service
This car doesn't have a reminder
