Thanks, I changed the shift boot of my Mazda 3 HATCHBACK sport 2011. To be honest, I left the original and put the new above because it didn't have the holes and I am really bad at cutting and all that stuff. It worked great leaving the original as "base". Thanks again.
Hey I bought the same retainer and boot as you guys (the boot is really stinky :/) and the retainer doesn't screw down all the way. It gets about 80% there and is stuck, threads look fine and my tap n die set run through it ezpz. Am I missing something? lol
I may look into doing this, especially since it's so inexpensive. I wonder why they only put the red stitching on 3 of the four corners, though? And I don't thing that's actual suede; I think it's Alcantara, which is essentially synthetic suede.
I also thought it was weird they didn't stich with red on all four corner, I just position the none red side towards the back so I can't see it. I thought for sure it would have been Alcantara because of the price but it's very obviously real suede leather. I thought it was some sort of one off mistake but I looked at the listing and says genuine suede leather. I was surprised as you I didn't expect to get such high quality material for $8.
I have no idea, that's the way it came and it didn't really bug me because it cost so little. I put that seam towards the passenger rear where I can't see it while I'm driving.
Good thinking. You're right, at $10 you really can't beat it. I had to replace the shift boot in my RSX and it was more difficult. Instead of it being screwed in like yours, mine was stapled.
Your Chanel is called everything diy where's the tutorial on how to unclog your toilet after a mean turd? Because this is TH-cam I have to clarify that was a joke

Omg I have the same car but 2010. Looking to change the boot. How was it? Did this video help??
I didn’t know there were stuff to eliminate the gap between my knob and the boot. That’s awesome thank you!!!
i just recently bought an speed3 and was wondering if you could show how to work the cobb access port
not to bad, have looked at doing this to get rid of the cracked up one in my daily, but also considered doing a metal shift plate instead.
Love all your videos. Thanks for the great work. Is the car seat cover a factory or after market ? It looks good.
Factory Seats only available on the Mazdaspeed's.
Thanks for video 👍
I think you should start from the top (the retainer) and then measure the actual lenght you want from top to bottom. Awesome video Ally and Steve :D
I like your seat color, it matches your boot too!
great video demonstration

THANK YOU! This is exactly what I was looking for, as this is my exact car!

Why is the red stitching just on 3 seams?

I Love this girl !!
You shifting the car without the lurch hurt my soul
Same 😱😬😥
*Upgrade
;)
That new boot adds at least 6 more HP.
Nah it's suede it adds 10 easy.
Should do all of these things to a more complicated vehicle. Not all vehicles are this easy
Wow you are a girl version of me, I definetly subscribed. I do have same kind of channel in my own language.
You can change my knob
So we just gonna ignore her trying to shift without pushing the clutch? RIP transmission
🙄🙄🙄
Neat work from a gorgeous girl :)

TagDelta 915 how clever
You paid under 10$?! I paid 70$!!
Upgrade? its not a upgrade, that's like saying putting on a new pair of socks is a upgrade
TagDelta 915 if they are nicer socks, than it’s an upgrade isn’t it.
She’s a girl what you expect her to do a engine swap?
