For those looking for the BLUE color OR the actual silicone tube/sleeve itself...the blue LED shown in my video appears to be out of stock permanently. However, I found one below that I believe is a suitable replacement at 8mm wide and 5M long. I have NOT used the replacement listed below personally, but again it appears to be the same exact dimensions. It also has slightly higher density of LEDs as a bonus, so I think it should be an alternate for those looking for a compatible blue color. Certainly let me know if you find otherwise. Here is the link: amzn.to/3uyQLvk And, I also found this silicone LED tube in case you need to replace the entire tube itself. Again, have not tried this one myself, but it appears to be pretty similar to the one Jayco uses with an advertised max inside width of 10mm, so should pair nicely with 8mm LED strip. Again, let us know if you try either of these out how they work out: amzn.to/3xSelVL
@@kellyelveston6232 correct, actually the replacement strip can be used both with 12 volt and 24 volt, but the wires are the same essentially for both.
@@kellyelveston6232 oh I see the problem now. On Amazon there are selections for different voltages, and it's possible they sent you the wrong voltage. I'd recommend returning it to Amazon and reordering the 12 volt version and seeing if you get the actual get the 12-volt this time. Sometimes they mix things up in the warehouse.
My 2022 NP had the same problem. Dealer approved replacement with Jayco. When new kit arrived I scheduled a service appointment & they replaced it. I will go back and caulk both ends. Thanks for sharing post👍
Thanks for the very informative video. I reached out to a Dealer near me and they want about $50 each for the lights for my end cap. I have the same problem on my 2021 Jayco White hawk 34BH. I decided to do the repair the same way you did and save some time and money. Like others my lights run vertically on the end cap and there are two of them. I have ordered the light strips that you linked in the description and they are supposed to be here tomorrow. Mine do not have the silver cover like yours have on the ends but I would love to add them because it looks like they would help keep the end of the tubes form getting water or moisture in the tube. Mine are simply sealed with silicone and that is why they eventually failed. The silicone shrank which exposed the end of the tube and the water was then able to get in and cause the lights to fail. I have looked everywhere to try to find some caps like the ones you have. I think it maybe that I just simply don't know what to call them when I type in to search for them. Do you have any idea where to get them?
I'm at a loss on those caps as far as where to source them. I wonder if they are specific to RV industry. They were more aesthetic on mine so I siliconed them into place for redundancy, but I really think there should have been a mechanical seal/cap that fit snuggly into the tube. I bet if Jayco reached out to the vendor that supplies them with tube and caps they could easily make a mechanical seal to that profile.
@@AdventureRocks OK thanks for the reply. BTW my lights came in from Amazon yesterday and I got them changed out this morning & they look great again! Thanks for your help! I will keep looking for some type of cap to put over them.
I have a north point 377RLBH. My front cap light suffered the same water intrusion. Bought a blue replacement LED strip by following the links you provided. Got it all swapped out today. Blue light looks great and I prefer how it looks like a “solid” light now as well. Thanks for the video!
Watched this video seral times. And i tell ya! it was so helpful. Just fixed my light also, i did get the blue strip also. Thanks so much for the trouble shooting and install.
Have the same issue. Started in the middle and has spread. The left side had a gap between the light strip and the chrome end piece. I pulled the light strip out of the track and water just poured out of it.
Wonder if you could attach a “pull wire” to the 2wire lead at both ends .. fish the pull wire into the tube first .. then pull the led strip through vs trying to push the strip through? Great video. Dealer just replaced ours on our 2021 model coach under warranty while the coach was in there for a few other minor items. Dealer sealed both ends as you documented, hope they did a good job.
I have a 2020 Jayco Eagle HT 280RSOK with twin "neon" lights. Mine shines orange, through white tubes. I'm trying to find an orange strip. Trying to get an answer from Jayco is like pulling teeth. Any suggestions?
Sorry to hear about Jayco. Do your tubes look like the one on my Pinnacle? Wondering if Jayco uses the same vinyl tube size across all their lines? There's a close-up in video at 9:02 showing profile. If it is a match, then here's a link to the vendor I found on Amazon to replace the inner LED strip: amzn.to/3xLb1uQ They have a few other colors, but I don't see orange at present. It's basically a high-density (aka COB) LED strip, meaning the individual diodes are closer together compared to a regular strip, and that makes it look like a neon tube by the time it goes inside the vinyl tube. If you need a different color, try searching on Amazon for "12v high density led strip + color" and see if that gives you any alternate results. The challenge for me was to find one narrow enough to slide into the existing vinyl tube. So check yours and see what the inside width is to ensure whatever LED you choose can slide in. You should only need 1 strip still as you can cut in middle and use leader supplied on both ends to feed into your 12v source. Hope all the makes sense and hope you can find one that'll fit in right color.
@@hjets5387 It looks like the blue is out of stock right now. I see what you mean as there are only cool/warm white essentially. Prices went up a bit too.
I'm with you...did not like it either. Think it looks cheap. I took mine off about 4 months after it left the Jayco factory. The decal mostly came off in smaller pieces. The vinyl would tear easily as I pulled on it. I don't think it took more than 30-45 minutes to get the whole thing off. I had a little residue left and got that off with some light sovlent. I noticed a very faint difference in the black paint behind it initially, but after cleaning it and then letting it weather for about a month, it's completely invisible now.

I've actually had several people comment with your same model that they have the same problem. So it must be pretty much across the Jayco lineup where they put the LEDs inside of the tubes, but fail to seal them so the LEDs eventually fail.
