How do you plan to protect the land from over fishing and the ecological fall out that happens when a type of animal goes missing from the system? I'm with you, but before I'm ready to let go of a licensing system... I just want to have a system in place that solves the concern that caused us to implement the system in the first place. Like it or not, as humans, we are stewards of the land that is an intrinsic fact of nature. We have god like powers over the lay of the land, and the plants and animals in it. Thus we have a responsible to be good stewards of the land. That is not in our nature, thus we must keep ourselves in check, because our instincts say preserve self, eat all the fish. That would be bad though. So what's your system to make sure my grand kids get to see a real fish in person? You tell me that, and you may have a staunch backer. That is if your system seems better to me. The honor system isn't going to cut it. We tried that, it failed. We killed every pigeon on the continent. We have pigeons today because we bought them from England to repair the damage to our eco system. That's one of many unregulated hunting mishaps we had before we started issuing hunting and fishing licenses and stamps. So it's there to solve a problem ... not a hypothetical problem we preemptively dreamed up... no, no, it was an actual problem that was physically realized before we addressed it. So before you try to remove a bad solution you need to have a better one to replace it or else your not actually helping.
@@Ichihiro36 Also detail for me....when the Supreme Court has made it perfectly clear that law enforcement has no duty to protect citizens....what legal basis they have to require me to possess a life saving device?
These are not the Game Wardens. Marine Police are under the State Troopers now for Alabama. Game Wardens are still under the AWFFD (In Alabama). That was your first mistake. Secondly, if it were a Game Warden they do not need probable cause to stop and check. I'm not here to argue 4th amendment rights but that is what the law is. The reason for this is that Game Wardens have jurisdiction to regulate and manage the “State-owned resource”, which is fish, game, and/or wildlife. Also it must be noted this broader search power is and should always be within the scope of the Wildlife Act. That is, a normal patrolling officer under city/county rule does not have the same rights as they are not acting in any official capacity within the scope of preserving and protecting the states wild life. Those wildlife are entities the state deems necessary to regulate and protect due to the nature of their inability to meaningfully protect themselves from a states human population. In my opinion the laws are just (although that is up to personal opinion).
@@yakmasterkayak Due to all gaming and fishing being a regulated act and protected the act of doing it in itself is the probable cause and people will just never get that. However, that search is not extended to a habitation or a building. The search is for your property you’re currently in possession of.
Funny though how you don't see people standing up for their rights like this on the show lone star law with the game wardens on there. I bet the people that stand up for their rights they delete tape of those people so it's not aired on TV. Can't have people at home being shown their constitutional rights.
@@bjdeee1239 they definitely wouldn't air me on tv if I lived in Texas and those guys tried to come on my boat. They would learn the 4th amendment real quick no warrant no searching end of story.
game wardens are a bit better at stuff like this but law agencies can still stop you on state owned water ways to make sure you have everything you need
Still waiting for it to buffer (slower than dial up... Obama phone internet.) But judging by the thumbnail and title it's not "at sea"... first it's a gaming warden not the coast guard, then there's the tree line on shore and the glassy flat water... not 100% evidence that it's not at sea but reasonable enough for me in this casual setting (watching a TH-cam video at home... my setting, not the setting of the video, that is not casual and if I was there, I'd want better evidence of the facts... but if I was there I'd also know if we were at a lake or the ocean so...) Also are you sure that's a game warden? Cuz he looks like a regular cop, judging by his uniform ... cops have boats and jurisdiction on the water as well, but a different role to play, and different policies and procedures. One's goal is to stop crime, the other's goal is to make sure the people enjoying the land are being good stewards of the land. That makes a world of difference when dealing with them. Just sayin'
@@bjdeee1239 Probably two or three breathes worth. I'm long winded. If I gleamed that much off the thumbnail and title imagine how much I could say about the video. So you actually dodged a bullet on that one. Also these words flow as easy as speaking... I'm using dictation (speech to text).
