Amazing!! I am doing more and more details on my dresses and tops but when I bought and cut this pattern I was stumped!! I carried on, lots of pintucks along the way and I got to the sleeve!! 😳😳 Thank goodness I came across your tutorial, otherwise this would not get finished. Even though the pattern has pictures and explanations it was nowhere as good as this tutorial.... thank you!! Thank you so much 😊
Great video! Thank you! I was trying to sew the placket to a shirt sleeve and COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK. Watched your video and it all became clear. Thanks again!! Subscribed!
OMG - I have been struggling all day to do this in a pattern I am making. I then found your video and it makes perfect sense to me now - Thank you SO much, great video x
How I wished I saw this tutorial before sewing my shirt sleeves, it would have make a lot difference... But I now know my mistakes and I will sew another shirt..thank you and remain blessed.
Thank you for publishing this tutorial. I bought a nice blouse from Ann Taylor and the sleeves were too long so I seam-ripped the cuff off, and cut the sleeves a few inches shorter, and was trying so hard to figure out how to put the cuff back on! It sure is much harder than I expected. This video has helped me a lot. It doesn't look like they used bias binding - just double folded the sides in. I was having a heck of a time trying to figure out what to do with the end of the slit after folding the sides. At this point, I probably won't add binding, but now I know to stretch my fabric straight around the inside point and fold it under as well, if I can! Thanks again.
Well, I ended up taking your advice and I did make a binding. I opened up their 'fold' and discovered it wasn't folded in like I thought, but they had used binding as well. Now to tackle the cuff...
Beautifully sewn! I am in awe of the fact that you don't trim the corners where it.may bulk up and.it.still looks perfect , laying smooth as if it is just one.or 2 layers but.is is at.least 4 . I love it and am in awe. Thanks again, Diane.
hi Cheryl, thanks for your comment. I know, a lot of home sewer cut ALL corners, I use more the industrial way, so only if necessary, like angle less than 90°. Also, if you think about it when you cut corner, you cut everything but the corner. I count 14 layers at the corner of the cuff with the bias fold, and my cuff was not fuse (+8).
I felt so obligated to leave a comment for you. You did such a wonderful job explaining, thank you so much.
This is the best refresher for a sleeve and cuff. Thank you so much.
Thank you, and thank you for not playing distracting music like so many other videos do

Can you use this for denim jacket
Hello
The way I sew the cuff yes for sure, but the sleeve opening is usually different, mush easier in a seam and there is no pleats.
Diane
