- It’s Rory vs Tommy, as they take on the new 'Hit the Number' Challenge at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
Ten head-to-head rounds where the two players are given a yardage and whoever hits their shot closest to that number wins the point. Each player has two boosters they can choose to play: either to select a preferred yardage or double the points for a chosen round, so it’s not just a game of skill but also strategy. Most points overall after the ten rounds, wins!

To be fair it's what he does all day long!
hit the range more than 1 time a month and its pretty easy to know your own yardages.

It's the non stop media that push him down our throats all the time. A few yrs back shhoting +6 and missing cuts.. We still had to have every shot of his as comms still bumming him up.. I doubt he wanted every shank being shown..
Now it.. Lets ignore the current 74 players out on course (very disrespectful) and show Rory turning up to the course... Again when he's warming up andthen when he's out. Lets show all his shots 15 times in slow-mo.
Its not him asking for it. It's the media and the brown nose commentators who are at fault.

Side by side, Tommy has the silkier swing. They're both absolute class, of course. But watching this has made me realise just how enjoyable and languid Tommy Fleetwood's game is.

That was a great challenge. Really interesting to see how well the pros can hit the numbers.
There's a warmth between some of the European players that can't be faked. Even when pound-for-pound we aren't as strong a Ryder Cup team as the Americans, that camaraderie and team spirit can make up some of the difference between the teams. Particularly in the foursome, also to an extent in the four-balls.
Between watching these dp videos and the taylormade competitions, ive became a fan of tommys. Seems like a great chap and the videos hes in are absolutely mint

If you played vs Fleetwood you would be blown away by how long he is, and then Rory is consistently 1-2 clubs longer. Scary.
beginner here - why would rory choose an iron over a wood/hybrid for 220? Is it for more spin control at the precise distance?

Hello, it would be better, if you add the differences of the deviation together for a final deviation amount. So the players have a change til the end to win.

92 yards was target and Rory hit 80 and went so bad. If I hit anyways +-50 yards of the target I’m happy

One of the smallest guys on tour who’s also one of the longest hitters. You don’t do that by holding anything back.

@@tonyfortune346 It’s something he’s worked hard on. When he started out he was a kid but he realised he was losing to golfers he was far better than just because they could hit it further. Now he’s taken that advantage away from the bombers. Hopefully he puts a few good rounds together at the Masters because he’s overdue a major with the talent he has.
@David Reynolds I would love to see Rory win the Master's this year. He's my favorite golfer behind Tiger. Rory is just such a good dude how could you not root for the guy. I remember he said early in his career sometimes he didn't enjoy winning as much because he would feel bad for whoever he was playing that lost to him. He's a remarkable human being and one of the best golfers to ever play the game.
