Portland is such a beautiful, parish...modern tourist facilities, fishing, farming, river rafting and everything else you can think of. Just recently found out about the deer in Portland. Yes..the population have to be controlled. They breed very fast and if unchecked, can be very devastating and destructive to the farms and forestry undergrowth. Plus they cause a lot of road accidents too. In many states in Americe, hunters are given special permits to hunt deers to control their population. I'm a retired Perk Ranger from the State of Maryland and I am coming home soon...curry dear and boil banana, wid some nice soft yam an cornmeal dumplin' an' some "bussu" soup sound great. Port Antonio is my home town had about three nutmeg trees in my yard... The P in Portland is for youpristine!

Good presentation Rochielin straight and un pretentious and true Jamaican. I am really surprised about the Deer and my son told me that he has seen Antlers in a Rasta house up in the Blue Mountains. He too was surprised. Jamaica has no end of surprises.
Many ppl around the world consume jackfruit but they often don't eat it ripened like we do. They smoke it and usually add barbeque sauce as a meat substitute. The texture is very 'meaty.'
