Next song RAITEI... will dropped your jaw... They do a lot of songs cover AC/DC, KISS, IRON MAIDEN, MOTLEY CRUE, LINKIN PARK, JOURNEY, NICKELBACK, X-JAPAN, LOUDNESS, MUCC, BABYMETAL, BON JOVI, PASSCODE,
Nemophila - Zan Live.. DO IT!.. you won't regret..out of this world!!!!! ... make it a personal choice day or whatever you need to justify it... just do it..... Luv your stuff btw.. super kewl reactions!!! These songs were warmups.... for the seriously heavy side of Nemophlia!
Def need to check out Life and Adabana, also their covers are great too. They have BabyMetal, Iron Maiden and Maximum The a hormone covers to name a few hat are awesome!
That riff... delivered by the Japanese Metal Guitar Goddess and Riff-lord SAKI, alongside the one who specializes in the classic metal style with heavy riffing and systematic phrasing Hazuki, of course it sounds heavily good.
Dissension is by far my favorite song by them, has pretty much everything I like all in it. Your reaction to Dissension was exactly how I'd imagine it to be 🤣. The jaw drop to Mayu's scream in the intro, the face palm and full rewind once the first chorus kicks in, and the "is that it? no,no" at the end.... Revive is also great too! I like how she does both screams and cleans. Add the fact that every band member can provide back up vocals, what more can you want? 🤘🤘
For Mayu's screams without the effect, try the live version of "Dissension" at Naon Yaon 2021 video. There's also a great version of "Oiran" from that show too.
Dissension and Life are probably my favorite songs from this band. Her little savage voice just keeps growing and growing on me lol. Great reaction as always Cheezy! I'd recommend Oiran for a future reaction.
Great band! So many good tracks. Try Monsters, and also know that they are the queens of awesome covers!!! They do a couple of Maximum the Hormone which are brilliant. Try Shimi. Very Raw.
I saw Nemophia live at Aftershock. Loved it so much, I'm going to see them in SF in March. If you ever get a chance, do yourself a favor and see these ladies LIVE. They are epic!
This is one of my favorite groups. They are unreal with talent, all the songs great and they also do awesome covers. Kiss, motley crue, iron maiden, bon jovi and moe, even Babymetal, they love babymetal, they do that complete with dressing like baby metal and the fox god merch around their studio.
The fun thing is, that Mayu's screams actually sound better in live recordings when they are more raw. Somehow, Japanese producers have a thing for over-producing stuff, especially vocals. Check their song "Oiran" live at Naon no Yaon festival.
Hehe I really like your reactions!!! and yep... Nemophila is such a good band!! You should react to Raitei and Oiran (live at Naon No Yaon 2021) !! Greetings from Mexico!! /o/
Great reaction. I'm old school metalhead and this is my favorite group the past couple years. I understand the voice effect is a bit over the top for some. Makes it a bit too screechy! So many bands do it. Live it is amazing she hits that high scream but it sounds more deeper and gritty. I do love it live better. You should check out Dissension live and also from same show Oiran live. These amazing ladies can shred and are mostly metal with hard rock and a little pop mixed in here and there. They just released their second album and between both you can see their diversity in what they play while still staying so heavy. They also have done some amazing covers from Iron Maiden to AC/DC to Kiss and many others even BabyMetal. I have seen a number of their live streams and also the full show at Whisky A GO GO back in July and these girls kick ass live. I got tickets to see them in March in Texas and can't wait! Besides those two live ones also try Adabana and RAITEI. All their songs kick ass.
I really like her singing voice , not so sold on the screams though. I did listen to some of their old stuff (covers and such) and really liked those but they have certainly stepped it up a notch from those. Interesting
Love Nemophila, god tier musicians. I like when she says “let’s kick it up a notch” how do you do that from there?? If you haven’t heard them yet I’ll suggest Hanabie-We Love Sweets.
I do agree about the effect. Her scream is so good that she do not need the effect. It sounds almost the same without. Even better without IMHO. It is too thin with the effect.
Thanks Kiril! I don't disagree that the live version will be better. I just think the effect could have been brought down in the mix from the engineer when recording.
@@Cheezyxyz there is one big difference between you and me - you have the "know-how", the ability to explain things I can only feel with my senses))) of course, the video is polished, but these girls, actually, all Japanese bands, you have reacted to, are able to record an album during a live session without breaking a sweat. That's how good they are. No matter what you do in this life, no matter how good you are at your craft - you have to know, you have to make peace with yourself that there is a 100lbs. Japanese girl somewhere that can do it better than you, and most likely her name is Kanami Tono))) I know she plays for a different band, but that woman makes me fall in love with music over and over again...
@@kirilkirilov7185 These days it is pretty easy for me to except there are some tiny Japanese women that just blow my talent out of the water. Man, I just binged all your Lovebites and Nemophila videos. Great stuff, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would like to suggest another female Japanese rock/metal band to check out. They're called Bridear, and two of their better songs are Bloody Bride and Brave New World Revisited. You won't be disappointed. I guarantee it.
@@CheezyxyzI'm a complete idiot. I can't believe I didn't tell you about Hanabie. We Love Sweets and NEET Game are excellent songs and videos. They'll give you WTF moments like Lovebites, but for completely different (but awesome) reasons. All I'll say is I think they're "right up your alley".
@@not-so-great-oldone9780 Brave New World is a great song and video! It's criminal how low a view count it has. I agree, Haru is awesome! I love watching and hearing her play bass. She's a phenomenal musician. She has a bass play through video of one of their songs, but I don't remember which one off the top of my head.
You're not alone in disliking the vocal effects. I have to say, though, vocal sweetening has been common in recorded music (and live, too) for many, many years. John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix were famous for disliking their recorded voices and often used vocal effects on their recordings. Your point is valid, though.
If you like her her singing voice, listen to their cover of Rosier. Even if you don't react, it's a great cover, and her voice is so go. The band really makes this sing great.
You should check out the band Destrose. When this band broke up the drrummer and bass player created Lovebites. The lead guitarist went to Nemophila and the singer went to the Band Mary's Blood. So Destrose is where these members got their start. Song is called Rin th-cam.com/video/e-CH-FLS2kM/w-d-xo.html
There is a _Making of_ video of Dissention. The girls giggle and make silly jokes and have fun like school kids. It is such a huge contrast to the ass kicking that is the actual music video. So much fun to watch, because they are not afraid to show that off stage they enjoy "girly things". They don't feel they have to be tough all the time, unlike other heavy metal musicians. To me, groups like BAND-MAID, Lovebites, Nemophila, Hanabie and others are the true feminists. They don't talk/whine about equality and domination, they just prove it and live it, while still being lovely young women.
I'm just no fan of screaming and growling. I like their songs with just normal vocals (so far i found 6 (or 7 with the Journey cover)) but the rest, i wished they would bring out 2 versions, like one for the scream fans and one for the others 😄
@@Cheezyxyz Yeah, i just hope that Asami never even tries to do that, and i hope that Alissa White-Gluz starts doing it a bit less, since she really has a lovely clean voice. Their song "Adabana" next please...
I've already got the album and the t-shirt. These ladies need more recognition.

Great double header mate. NEMOPHILA is on fire. 🌸✨🌠
awesome band ,Rock and metal aren't dead, they just moved to Japan.
I love a lot of Japanese music. Nemophila and Hanabie got me into Ado and Vocaloid. Nemophila did a cover of Usseewa by Ado.
And put on skirts.
Nemophila is very diverse, the 4 songs you have heard all have different sounds, I recommend 《adabana》 and 《oiran》live for next time🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
