I've always found it weird that Douglas MacArthur, the anti-Confederate son of a Union veteran, ends up leading the CSA.
It was also the Democrats that were the CSA. It's all messed up.

I dont understand how he got the civil war here and became a "junta", because a state confederation is less centralised and authoritarian than a union or federal system.
There is also an irony that the union in this game is fighting for the constitution since the original us constitution was based upon it being a confederation with a weak central government. People dont seem to understand what a facist or authoritarian is.
America fascism is a centralised technocratic union state with rampant corportatism and a dubious election process.
The leader would be somebody like Henry Ford or a banker or a deep state shadowy avatar who cant be seen by the electorate.
They should fix this the game.
@@richardjbarlow no, the document you’re referring to isn’t the US constitution it’s the articles of confederation, which where terrible and lead to a revolt in New England. And ever since the constitution where drafted, the articles of confederation where nullified

Can someone explain why he became puppet of Turkey? I never saw that in the game and I have almost 2000 Hours on the game.

nah maybe its because it chose a random fascist nation that would support the usa in the civil war intensely, like the soviets and spain, but since germany didnt go historical it chose a random fascist major (turkey) dunno why it didnt go to italy tho@@jackjigsaw1150

You know. What if it has something to do with Turkish war participation since he didn't have an army for so long they did "Most of the work" or whatever and were able to force puppet him. Thats the only way I can think of it.

At 08:00 roughly Turkey joined the Brotherhood of Europe but I can't see at what point you chose to join that faction. You just landed in it after the peace treaty at 11:00. 🤣🤣

About why this happened.
There is a mechanic in the game, if the volunteer forces of a country has too much participation in the civil war of another country and the side it supports wins the civil war, that side automatically becomes the puppet of that supporting country upon the end of the civil war. And puppets join their overlords' faction. And integrated puppets can't declare war or reject join war requests.
(idk how much is too much though)
This mostly happens in games when the Republican Spain wins with Soviet help. Spain, then becomes a Soviet Puppet thus immediately joins the Comintern. "We're here to liberate you, please don't resist."

I think it might have something to do with war Participation. Since the game doesn't function 100% correctly during non historical ai, its possible the ai forced him to be a puppet at the end of the war.

Played a game with my friend. He played germany and I went for greater hungary. While we got attacked by the entire world while joking along. While we where loosing USA had a non aligned against facist civilwar. The winning side of the civilwar was communist. I dont know the details of the focustree, but that was fun to watch

I think this is what happened. Turkey had War Participation since you didn't have an army and they fought a lot of the early battles, because of this they gained points, and since the game was non historical they puppeted you, or the other us, but it didn't register because you had cores on the territory since if you have cores you can force the territory to be yours a lot easier. So likely its a bug with the peace deal, and volunteers getting WP.

Why are you building civs in the early game as the USA you have more than enough civs and need the mils and Mabye a few dockyards or you can fortify your islands since they don’t have and negatives to construction speed

I’m new to playing hoi4 could anyone suggest how to learn the game as I’m getting confused on how to play even after playing the tutorial multiple times
its an easy game not complex at all. spam cas. spam infantry. play germany. congrats, you win
there are a lot of tutorials on yt on every aspect of the game. you should search for the areas you struggle most. Best I can tell you, since your post is very broad
The easiest way is to disable the dlcs, and go back a few updates you can learn the base game without all of the difficult dlc additions. Then learn each of those one at a time.

Thanks for another video! I enjoy the 1939 start dates more than 1936, I feel like it takes too long to get into the interesting stuff.
The point of 1936 is to prepare for the war, and you get to do the fun unhistorical paths, also it takes not long to get to 1939 from 1936 unless your pc is that shitty
