Great cover! Your tone sounds spot on. This was one of the first songs I bought on iTunes back in 2008 haha

As I believe it is very hard to give this type of advice since it is very much a personal choice, here are some tips I can share with you. Firstly, if you are just playing guitar at home, I wouldn’t buy a guitar amp at all. I use free guitar plugins with Reaper DAW, which is very good and a fraction of the price of other DAWs out there. The other things you need for this setup are an audio interface and decent studio headphones, and that’s all. If you are going to play with other people, you might need to buy an amp, but again, it depends on whether this is just a bedroom jam or if you intend to tour with a band. As for the guitar, from my experience, I would buy something with decent pickups. They play a pivotal role in how your electric guitar sounds. Woodwork matters too, but very slightly. I hope this helps somehow. Good luck!

Don't throw ridiculous money at a guitar if you are a beginner (or ever unless you are a pro) Try something relatively cheap and simple like an Epiphone Les Paul Jr or some of the more recent Harley Benton DC FATs are supposed to be pretty good for the price. One pick-up, one tone control. one volume control. Bomb proof.
If you want an amp for playing at home you want to be looking at something around 10 -20 watts anything more is overkill for the bedroom.

@@sghtvyh6457nvIt depends what your budget is. If money is no object then just buy whatever you want. In my opinion, aim to spend no more £200-£500 then take it to a guitar tech for a proper set up.

@@sghtvyh6457nv In my experience guitars (and basses) are things which "higher end = higher quality = longer lasting" doesn't really apply too much to, as long as you don't go for something TOO cheap ofc. What really matters is having it set up well and learning how to dial tones in. Right now, when looking at buying a guitar, I'd mainly be concerned abt it's intonation (how stable does it keep the tuning) and electronics set-up (pickups and controls).
