Well, in my case, I've simply had two people getting new beats and literally having them fall apart in their hands two and three weeks later (and no, they didn't treat them like shit)...
You couldn't be any more wrong. The hate started because of the fact that Beats were priced at 2-3 times the amount of other headsets that were far superior to them. The new models may be better than the old but that doesn't change the fact that the headphones were overpriced garbage that did nothing but pump up the bass and make people feel like that purchased a good headset when in reality they spent $300 on crap when they could've spent a third of that for something better.
Everyone may not be idiots but many may be ignorant to the fact that they're purchasing something for way more than it's worth. There are the idiots who purchase just because of the brand name and/or trying to fit in and there are the people who have no knowledge of headphones and simply believe Beats are good because of their price.
I'm pretty sure beats are a lot better than they used to be. People who say they suck obviously haven't tried the latest pairs. I have the new beats studio wireless and they sound good! Best headphones I've ever had. Just stop hating people because we all know dang well if yall were there yall would be screaming like crazy like those other people too. Don't say no you wouldn't because yes you would.

And that their overpriced value has a lot to do with the fact it's using Dre's name for marketing. And anyone saying that Beats are great needs to revise his understanding of _great_. Because they sure don't compare to the 1000$ high-end of the headphones that are available on the market. Although, I understand your average consumer wouldn't be spending that kind of money on a pair of headphones anyway. Beats seems like good headphones compared to others, but their price is really stretching what they're worth. And if anyone goes crazy about Beats, it only shows how little of the world they know. It's like going haywire for a Mustang car, while there are Ferraris and Lamborghinis out there.
Sure, they sound "good" but did you ever consider the fact that it's because you haven't tried anything better? Most of the better quality, physically and audio wise, aren't as advertised as Beats are so they're a bit underground. I won't deny that some people tend to hate them because it's a popular thing to do but the hate started with the fact that Beats have been low quality, overpriced trash from the start.
Actually, beats quality for their price is terrible. I picked up 70 dollar headphones that have a better frequency range, and much better balance than any beats model out there. If you're going to spend 200 dollars on headphones, at least get Senheiser, or the V-Moda Crossfades. Both of which are recommended by most music producers who know what they are talking about, myself included.

I have been wondering when this would happen then ....... BAM!!!!! This the greatest. I really can't say the enough I want ore much more maybe they could just combine their shows together that would be the best.

I went to this taping today and although the Beats are being sent to us via mail, I am still excited to get them. I have heard that Beats suck, but regardless, the fact that Ellen Degeneres came on the Conan show and gave away anything makes me feel, and I'm sure a lot of the audience, very appreciative. if you want Headphones for fashion then Beats is the way to go but if you're gonna use it for working with Music like arranging, figuring out the chords of a song, etc. or just want good quality Music then any apple headset is good enough or if you want, go with Audio Technica. In the ends it's fashion vs technicality. Which ever your preference/purpose. If want to listen to music while you're doing workouts,then the Jaybird Bluebuds is the way to go. For me Beats by Dre is not really a headset but a "Bling Bling" thing.
