@525Roger I got my phone replaced in the Apple store the other day, the new one is perfect. It was worth the risk, my new phone is perfect and doesn't have any of the yellow screen, volume button, rattling or vibration issues. I'd take it to the Apple store if you can. You can always try the replacement out in the store and say no if you don't like it.
I have the same problem and I'm calling Apple support first thing Monday about this issue. I hope they'll simply fix it, not replace my phone, considering numerous other issues with the 4S, that mine fortunately isn't affected by.
mine's fine and i can barely hear the camera rattling. Still a good phone. If your thiking about buying one, do it and don't let these things ruin your desire.
I've received 2 replacements from Apple this week and both have displayed the issue. They've said this isn't intended and have forwarded to an engineer. Hoping this can be resolved soon.
I got mine replace 3 times, the last time I went to have my phone replaced, the genius guy said the iphone 4s was designed to be noisy when vibrate !!!???? That was not the answer that I was expecting from Apple. What is the meaning of "silent" when your vibrator being too noisy. I love Apple products but I hate the way they respond to customers.
It's kinda aynnoying I just got the Iphone 4s traded my black on for white one, Got 90 days on it in case it stops working, And it does the SAME thing as yours, He said it looked like the phone screen had been replaced because the home button wasen't on very tight, Or so, And it makes that same buzzing noise, It's probably when they took it apart to fix the screen it does that, You have to go through 30 steps to take your phone apart to where you wanna get to.
mine does that too...n im up for my 3rd replacement...so bloody irritating...i hope my FOURTH iphone is better...coz this is a BIG put off from Apple....

Woah! Woah! That's how it's supposed to sound calm down. Mine is screwed up I had to order a whole new vibration motor and a new power cord

I have also had two and they both vibraate like shit.AND the camera rattles in both of them too.Mite go back to the iphone 4!!!
