Dada is the one who took indian cricket to a diff level. He tought us to win in every single game and also took responsibility of the Indian Cricket team like a king when Indian cricket was in a state of turmoil. He brought aggression and passion into cricket.I still remember when he came back and did a century at the Eden Gardens after being dropped out by Chappell.I literally cried and fell down from the stand.But the day when dada left cricket I stopped watching it.For me the def of cricket is Sourav Ganguly.Hats off to you dada .My fav cricketer.
He could have easily had a batting average of 47-48 in ODIs and 50+ in tests had he been only a batsman like Sachin and Dravid. Very few world captains those days had a batting avg of 40+ in both formats of cricket.
