Are you going to try the YS3 M?
At some point probably, I'm probably going to do a big order with the V3 and YS3 and maybe a few other cubes to try out.
I don't think so, the Tornado V3 pretty much cuts it for me. Although, I would like to try the Gan 12 and 13.
@@titustan1902 I have the GAN 13 KUNLUN edition and it is a very fast cube, kind of uncontrollable at first but once you get used to it its really fun to solve. For the price though I don't think it is 100% worth it, I only got the one I have because it was Christmas and a limited edition cube.

I enjoy Cameron’s store a little too much. My most recent order included the Gold Gan 13 Kun Lun with the cosmic setup and I also decided to tryout the PVC coating and the Exo Shield overlay. OMG, it is the most beautiful cube I have ever laid my eyes on.

Yes, it is a bit of a headache when there is so much to choose from, and the differences are somewhat nuanced. Between different versions and naming schemes, the entire market is a bit fuzzy. I wish cube shops displayed the "auto alignment" on their cubes, it would be useful to see if it worked or not

I don't mind several variants - but 3 or 4 is enough. More than that is where it becomes too much, especially for new cubers.
Anyway, I still stand by what I said:
55mm is my preference,
But the Gan-like Packaging and Lack of Magnet Adjustment FOR A SUPPOSED PREMIUM CUBE won't cut it for me.
Any of the WRMs have way better value.
Idk if other see it too but the ys3 corner,edge,scale thing and track is strikingly similar to gan x mechanism..
I suggested on Moyu that they must make a spring and ball core version not a maglev one. I think it's realiable than maglev and ballcore. Hey Cameron,you must to try my suggestion. Put a spring of magnetic version in ball core.

Honestly, if I were MoYu I would make them all springs and sell the maglev kits as a universal addon. Saves labor costs as well.

I prefer when a cube only exists in one version. Having several versions to choose from is always confusing to me. Thankfully there are videos like yours or JPerm's to help people choose. 🙂

So I have a question, now I use Xman Tornado V3 Pioneer as my main cube and I plan to buy a second cube. At first I wanted to buy Moyu RS3M Super Ball Core version, but when I heard the info that Moyu YS3M appeared, I was confused about which one to buy for my second cube. So, are there any suggestions from the two cube which should I buy to be the second cube?

The piece design of the YS3m is after the super but, the feet design is definitely after the wrm series, like the wrm maglev for example.
This may be their try at a flagship considering fancy packaging and more money than the 2021 lite.

just received my YS3M, I really like it.
As I was expecting, it feels to me as a successor to the WRM 2021 which is tied as my favorite cube.
The RS3M Super didn`t really click with me and I much prefer this YS3M due to the size and overall feel from the flat pieces which are similar to the WRM and RS3M (non super). Really, this cube is what I was hoping out of the RS3M Super...
it's a super fast cube and horribly scratchy out of the box (there is no factory lube AFAIK). I think once lubbed, this is going to join my S-Tier list with the Tornado V3, WRM 2021 and RS3M 2021 :D

It’s nothing like GAN’s system but it does feel different over the other models.
I'm not a fan of the many versions thing. When the X-Man Tornado did this, I accidentally bought the standard, when I meant to buy the pioneer. But, it's a minor irritation for me. Someone on a budget might find it more frustrating.

...anyone else notice how he straight up told us he thinks it's only the quality of a budget cube? Other stores listing it for 26 he's listing it for 15. It's interesting how everyone seems to be sick of all the different cube manufacturers crap these days too.

For the piece design modification, I'm sure that the base of the edge is the same as the wrm 2021 (I have one at home). The only thing really new is the uv coating I think. It is not a problem that moyu don't ad a lot of new features in my opinion because some people wanted a come back of the wrm series and this looks like a mix between the latest wrm and the latest rs3m so I'm very exited to try it out :)
I really don't like these brands coming out with various versions of the same cube. I would prefer if they figured out which version is the best and just sold that. When I want to buy one, it is always a bit confusing to know which one I want.

They can have a maglev version and give springs too so people can switch between maglev and springs .

In my opinion, RS3M Ball Core is a total flop because the core magnets don't do what they are supposed to. They are too weak and/or too far apart - and the magnets in the edges and corners are thinner. I added 4x1mm magnets in the corner feet of my ball core, and only then I got some auto-alignment.
The YS3M seems too expensive for basically the same thing as the RS3M. Like, $25 for the ball core version? I'd rather get a Tornado v3 Standard which looks and feels like a flagship and has adjustable magnets and a cool adjustment system.
I think people are waiting for a WRM with core magnets - and core magnets done right, with auto-alignment. We don't need 35° or 25° auto-alignment, but just subtle correction like on Tornado v3 Pioneer would be cool.
Wow. That's a fail for MoYu when a cuber solved the Ballcore's issue of not auto-aligning.

The Ball Core with added magnets feels just like it should have felt out of the box - fast, loose but stable enough thanks to the core magnets, and correcting some under- and overturns similar to Tornado v3 Pioneer (only the autocorrection is similar, the feel is totally different).

@@lomondotal-riham5737 Yes, it is very decent. I hesitate to recommend it because you have to pay $20 plus get magnets if you don't have any around (4x1mm work great, you need eight magnets). Such modded RS3M Ball is what it should be: fast, stable enough, correcting your turns, but with budget feel. I was never a big fan of the original RS3M 2020 or the 2021 because of the feel and because it was very sluggish, and I have tried my friends Ball Core Super RS3M and I don't like it either for the same reason (I don't even think the core magnets are doing anything at ALL), so I'm definitely skipping on this one.
Just buy a WRM Maglev !

They still insist to use ball-core that has no effect to cube except slow down the cube in bad way. The ball-core gives more friction. Well sorry I think its sama s*it, different plastik. And I think super rs3m standard and ys3m standard Will be the same feeling. Just stick to ur tornado v3 boy!

Am I just missing the point, here...? These cubes look completely pointless to me. Like, it just looks like they stuffed some anti-pop torpedo-looking things in there (and I've never known the RS3 M to have popping issues in the first place, so... Why?), slapped a name on it and used that as a justification for bumping up the MSRP. I might understand more if they *didn't* just release the Super RS3 M, like, four months ago? Five? I don't think it's even been half a year and there's a new *set* of RS3 M variant*s*. I don't even think it's just an endorsement deal since they made actual physical (though, at least in my opinion, pointless) changes to the cube itself and not just marketing/packaging/branding changes.
This is also making me wonder when, or even if, we'll be seeing the next entry in the WRM series. This can't be meant as a replacement for the WRM since there's no adjustable corner/edge magnets, so, like, what's the deal? Am I just missing something?
There are some differences as far as the centerpiece goes and the corner feet. I’m not too sure how much of a difference in feel that contributes to but they do feel pretty similar. I ultimately prefer the YS3 M but I don’t think it’s a complete overhaul and that the RS3 M inspired it. Could be wrong on this, though.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that they've been leaning hard into the RS3 M product line since it seems to be one of, if not the, most popular lines on the market and has been for, like, three years now? Four? At least that's been my, admittedly, complete layman's impression since I don't have hard sales numbers and whatnot.
I s'pose, ultimately, I'm focused mainly on whether or not it'd be worth it to grab one of the ball-core YS3 Ms when I already have one of the ball-core Super RS3 Ms and I'm sorta leaning toward sticking with the Super RS3 M. Especially since I just checked and (as of Feb. 20 for anyone reading this later) it's $25.95 with the ball-core Super RS3 M sitting at $19.95. It's definitely not a colossal difference (and I do absolutely prefer the YS3 M's teal-looking internals to the Super RS3 M's gold [blech]) but that's creeping up into the lower price range of the Tornado V3 and even MoYu's own WR M, so the decision wouldn't just be between the YS3 M and the RS3 M at that point. It seems like it's got a few other fairly popular options to contend with at that price point, also.
It's an interesting move and (as I am bad at both businessing and, less so but still bad nonetheless, at cubing) I'll be interested to see how things pan out with it.
And I appreciate the response and whatnot. Y'all have been great to buy from and I quite enjoy your Lunar and Stardust, as well as the little bubble-wrap bag they came in. I didn't even know those things existed and now I've gotta look 'em up to see if they'll work for shipping Magic cards.

It does have some changes to the pieces (corner feet, center piece, corner molding, and edge torpedo) but the feel is very similar which I think is a plus for a lot of people that are looking for a faster RS3 M 2020 with better features.
@@SpeedCubeShopOfficial I think you should rather compare it with RS3M Super since it also has 3 versions and the price range is more similar, and many people rank it higher than RS3M, therefore it's quite suspicious why MoYu released a more expensive sister of that cube, that would make much sense for me personally

Yep, I took a look and there are differences but the cube feels very similar to the turning feel of an RS3 M 2020 which is good considering how popular the cube is. The YS3 M is nice and I recommend it to people who like the RS3 M / WR M and the adjustment is the Super.
