In this video, Phil unboxes 3 versions of the new flagship 3x3 from MoYu, the HuaMeng YS3 M.
Standard, Maglev, and Ball-Core versions are currently available, with a new "Magic Clothes" version releasing soon. We expect that this version will have a special coating similar to UV coating.

I was waiting for this. I was reluctant to buy the golden super ball core 2022. This blue aqua ball core looks alot stronger the plastic. Definitely will be getting the YS3M ball core soon.
I was having the same issue with the M slices until I found out Chris Tran's video about it. If you paste some washers inside the center caps then you can increase the moment of inertia while doing the M slices without affecting side turns and the problem is solved.

THANK YOU. Literally no one has reviewed that on TH-cam because the shops were sent earlyaccess prototypes and that was not sent, and with 3 versions they were ALL too lazy to do a followup video showing the magic clothes version. Even the shop's product photos only show one image for MagicClothes and it's just the fancy image and a bunch of not-translated chinese text.
Just unpacked a Super RS3M (bundled with a big "variety" lube purchase from YKW) and literally interrupted a lazy first solve to write this comment. Given first impressions, I think I'm going to be tempted to try the YS3M. ~~~ At some point I'm going to have to admit to an addiction; but for now, I'm still having fun.

@@Orbettino85 It's a safe bet for a beginner. I could save you $5 with tedious discussions, but the $5 won't be worth much if you get a frustrating cube.

I know you think the M slices are too fast for you Phil, but as someone with weak motor skills I’m really excited about the M slices on this cube taking less effort to turn vs most other cubes

mildly dissapointed at the magnets being non-adjustable and also at the fact that the piece surface arent blue as well (dumb reason ik). im hoping wrm 2022 will still come out.
would you recommend this cube for people who are upgrading from the rs3m 2021?
It has better corner-cutting, better channels for lube distribution if you use any, and much stronger magnets on the ball-core for 25degree "homing" (if you let go and a row isn't aligned but is within 25degrees of being aligned the magnets will snap it into position for you). I don't know the size of the 2021 offhand but the YS3M is 1mm smaller than the RS3M2020 and RS3 Super. I would recommend this as an upgrade. I just ordered one myself as my own upgrade to my RS3M 2020. I got the $36 Ball-Core Magic Clothes edition because I hate frosted plastic look and feel.
Does someone know when the maglev ball core version with magic clothes on coming out?
It launched at the same time as the others. These review videos were done with donated prototypes sent to them before the official release and they didn't get the Magic, but they came out and have been available for sale the same amount of time as the others.
The websites list it kind of badly. You see the 3 "Versions" but for variations and modifications below it (the lube, stickers, etc) when you click BallCore the Finish style will have a "UV" option appear and clicking that gets you the Magic Clothes cube 👍. Man when I type it out that sounds like a gameboy codes book with UpDownLeftRightBAStart 😂

So I have a question, now I use Xman Tornado V3 Pioneer as my main cube and I plan to buy a second cube. At first I wanted to buy Moyu RS3M Super Ball Core version, but when I heard the info that Moyu YS3M appeared, I was confused about which one to buy for my second cube. So, are there any suggestions from the two cube which should I buy to be the second cube?
This is definitely a must. I got the ball core version. I can definitely say that it rivals my tornado v3
He points out in the video, and others did as well, that this ballcore is much better than the Supers. They probably learned from the mistakes of the Super being the first ballcore and made the YSM much much better with that knowledge. I just got back into cubing and only had some noname stuff and then an RSM 2020. I wanted something new and fancy and I just got the YSM Ballcore ordered today myself after deciding not to do the Super. One other consideration for the options is the YSM is 1mm smaller than both the RSM and the Super. I really didn't like that but the other features still made me go with it.
I also got this but I have the standard Xman v3, I think it’s better. I hope so.
Will there be a Version with adjustable magnets?
It has been out for over a month now and launched with 4 versions so definitely not. The company may make a cube that can do that in the future but it won't be a YS3M

How do you guys remove cube logos? For example the logo of the tornado v3 or the gan 13 maglev uv? I wanna use it for blindfolded but I‘m not allowed a Logo
Someone in the comments suggested using a pencil eraser, or heavily playing the cube and it will wear off. Most logos are stickers and I assume that's why it matters for blindfolded because you'd feel the sticker edge and know its the white side. I don't understand why a printed logo matters if you can't feel it and your eyes are literally covered lol.

Hi, I'm a new cuber, looking for a little help please. Is there a super simple way to tell the difference between the three cubes featured in this video? I just picked one up, and the guy was a little shady, and I just want to find out which cube I got!
The compression rings plastic under the caps of the standard and maglev have different colors, and the ball-core has a teal ballcore as the actual center of the cube. The info was in this video but in 2 separate segments and he rushes through it so I don't blame you for missing it. I had a tab with a shop open already so checked for you and Blue compression=standard, purple compression=maglev, then the teal internals is ballcore. If by some chance you have really shiny notfrosted pieces on the ballcore you got the "Magic Clothes" secret 4th version no one has ever reviewed with the beautiful treatment applied to the faces of the pieces.

All 3 versions come frosted yes. The 4th version "Ball-core Magic Clothes Edition" for $10 more than the Ball-Core ($36 for the Magic cube) has a gloss/UV style finish applied.
I have a theory about "Where's Wrm 2022?". Here's my theory,did you remember a Weilong GTS line? How many versions moyu released it? They had 3 versions. So,if Wrm starts at 2019 then last released was 2021,how many versions of Wrm line? It has 3 versions too (For me,maglev still 2021 or I would say same year released. 2 versions of 2021). And the (Super) Rs3 2022 could be the last release of moyu's rs3m line. That's my theory about moyu's release.
Edit: I have the all versions of Wrm,except the 2020 version. I'm still looking for a second hand to complete the all versions.
i think they will release another flagship...probably the wrm....since none of the cubes they released recently has adjustable magnets...idk why but i guess they will release another flagship this year....

I have the Tornado v3 and its very similar to my Moyu wrm 2021 maglev to be honest..the tornado v3 has a bit stonger magnets... Im gonna prefer this new cube the new ys3m ball core version from what I am hearing from the Chinese testers in China.
Tornado Pioneer is perfect in my opinion. Fast, correct under- and overturns, stable, fluid, buttery smooth, has great looks and a convenient core adjustment system.

tornado. In reviews, auto-alignment was never mention. Tornado v3 has had more better and positive reviews about it. Tornado v3 is the cube to go.
I main the Tornado v3 pioneer. It's the best cube I've ever used.
