Thanks so much for those videos! The routine seems to be different than the one from the old book no? Do you think one would benefit from buying the new edition of the Pain Free book?
@@PostureMonsterJon Thanks a lot for your answer. I have just finished reading Pain Free A revolutionary method for stopping Chronic Pain but it's the old version. Would you recommend I read the new edition that you're showing on this video as well or is it the same thing? It seems that the movement routines are a bit different.
Not wrong or bad to do more, BUT only to a certain extent. It is possible to overdo it and cause unhelpful soreness for several days. But long before you reach that point, the law of diminishing returns will set in and you’ll simply be wasting time. The most important changes are happening to the body schema models in your brain, and your brain can only grow new connections so quickly. The changes to your musculature are secondary to this change in the brain in terms of mechanisms of action. Read my book that comes out this coming Tuesday for more information about this topic.
I also noticed that you might be local to Albuquerque based on your username. Starting this coming week I’ll be hosting free weekly group postural therapy classes through the end of May at the Taylor Ranch Community Center on Tuesdays at 11am and at the Holiday Park Community Center on Saturdays at 10am. If you are interested in attending any of the sessions here’s a link where you can learn more: www.theposturepainconnection.com/local-posture-workshops/

You are correct, there is a lot going through my head when I’m filming these videos. Thank you for catching that slip of the tongue!
