My headcanon for him is that he was the firstborn who was raised by the end of TLK1 (explaining the differences between the 2 movies) Unfortunately, he gets killed (my guess is by Zira), explaining Simba's overprotectiveness towards Kiara & Kion.

I really love all of Zira's children. Vitani will always be high among my favorites. I also love Kovu and Nuka is also fascinating to me. He is such a tragic character, in life and death. He deserved better.

He might have been a little dumb, but I think he also might have been a little sick (due to him having fleas) and starving maybe even more than other Outlanders. He only tried to please his mother at all costs, that’s why his death was so tragic.
If I had to pick a favorite member of Simba's family, it would have to be Sarabi. We didn't get to see as much of her raising Simba as I would have liked but in other parts of the lore, we can see that she was a great, loving, and wise mother. Plus, I admired how she stayed strong for her pride during Scar's reign, even after just losing her mate and her only child. Sarabi is such a respectable character and I love her so much.
I stan her too now, your description of her could make everyone think she is severely underrated because our girl has such a reduced role she is basically sweapt under a rug (idk about the sequels, I watched only Lion king 1 and the rest I usually pick up from the critics as I have no kids to watch it with yet, and I am 23, heading to mu masters degree and in the process of ✨adulting✨, so I need to kinda reduce any childish habit to a minimum untill I can revisit those things with my own kids.

As someone who loves Shakespeare, I love how The Lion King and The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride resemble two of his greatest works, Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet. The live action adaptation does this as well because the same exact story happens, but in this version, once Mufasa is gone, Scar attempts to make Sarabi his queen, having made it clear before he intended to court her when they were younger, but was jealous and angry when she chose Mufasa. It wasn't as great as the animated film though.
Yeah I see the "Hamlet" version in "The Lion King" and I also see "Romeo and Juliet" version in "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride. (In that movie it ended on a happy note because the two pride's came together as one.)

I was born in 2000, and for as long as I can remember, The Lion King has been the most popular children's animated movie ever. Everyone in school talked about it, and every kid who I visited in their house would know of The Lion King. Back in 2007, when I was six years old, there were three kids that I spent time with for about a year, two older girls and a young boy. They were so fond of The Lion King that they had figurines of the characters, and it would be our favorite movie to watch together. We even went to the park and pretended to be certain lion characters. I remember when one girl said, "I don't want to play Zira. Zira is mean.", then we pretended to sleep from night until morning, and when it was time to wake up, one girl stretched her arms out and closed her eyes tight with her tongue out to impersonate a lion yawning. I also remember hanging from the edge of a platform, and the other girl stepped on my feet, resembling lion paws holding onto other paws. One girl used to sing along to "Hakuna Matata", and to get off the subject, we used to role-play, and just be funny and playful like kids. One girl asked me, "Have you ever seen Garfield the cat do this?", then she started crawling on the floor to impersonate Garfield pacing and complaining, then the two girls were one day rolling around with each other, and one girl said, "You smell like rotten french fries!", and on another time, I asked one girl, "What's a hio?" (which was actually the word "hill"), then the girl made fun and said, "I don't know! Hio! Hio! Hio!", exclaiming it while rocking her head closer and closer to me when she said it. We'd also chase each other outside in circles around the house. Long story short, those girls and boy were just fun and playful everyday, and I know they liked me a lot. I really wish that I could have fun with friends like that again, because here we are, 17 years later, and I have nobody. Relatives are all too busy, I'm an unemployed college dropout who's writing books, and nobody knows or cares to look out for me anymore, so I'm all alone. It should be noted that we don't know how Ahadi was related to Mohatu. It could be that Uru was Mohatu's daughter, and Ahadi married in. It would make sense, given she was the one who went to find a new water source during the worst drought of Ahadi's reign. Perhaps water divination, as it were, is a hereditary skill.

And was a leader during the reign of Ahadi and Uru, then gave the roar to Scar. "The one who is able to give up the roar, completely master it" is not just so he says it. A clear hint that at one time Askari also gave a roar to the next (Scar)

Thank you for making this video. Really clears things up. I don't know what novels there are to this franchise and which ones are canon and non-canon, nor do I know how to find them. So I had no clue of the backstory of pre-Mufasa. This video changed that. Now I just gotta go watch the Lion Guard.
I love Askari's design. He has black eyes like a real lion, and he presumably comes from so far in the past lions were still somewhat feral and not antropomorphized like we see during Simba's reign.

I like to think that Kion wasn't turning bad due to the cobra's venom. While the venom did hurt, most of Kion's changes came through him growing up. Since he was getting older, he often had mood swings like usual teenagers do, and the anxiety of potentially becoming like Scar made Kion anxious and defensive. However unlike Scar, Kion had friends who helped him to pull himself together.
It makes sense that the poison is the metaphor for puberty. And healing it-the metaphor for growing up. Every kids story, since fairy tales, was always an allegory for growing up and dealing with life as an adult, it's the way to prepare a kid subconciously, the very upbringing being the conscious part of the job.

I think that if there is to be a fourth Lion Guard season, it is to be another spin-off of the show, where it includes Simba's son Kion, his friends, and the Night Pride of the Tree of Life. Even so, it will also feature Vitani's Lion Guard as well as they, like Kion and his friends as the previous Lion Guard, face new adventures.

**Fan Theory:** If Mufasa instead of having Simba as his first born, had Kiara as _his_ daughter (not Simba's), Scar never would had bothered to kill Mufasa. Either way he'd marry her and all would have been well and Scar might of actually been redeemed. The lion king family tree is now complete, too bad there are no sequel of the lion king or the lion guard. Wonder why they didn't make a sequel or a prequel at least? Note: Forgot to mention, my favourite member in Simba's family is Kion. Why? Because he is blessed with powers and great fighting skills for his protection and his family and friends.
How could Wotso forget to add Timon and Pumbaa? They were the ones that rescued an orphaned Simba and raised him as their own child, even if it was a very tough and tiring job they managed to raise a lion to adulthood 😭 If that doesn't give them a place in the family tree I don't know what else will
I came up with a scenario where Timon uses his status as Simba’s adopted father to make him King Dowager (or whatever the male equivalent of Queen Dowager is).
In this case I didn't put Timon and Pumbaa on the family tree because they only kind of allude to them being father figures for Simba, but I did make sure to mention that they did play an important role in his life
It may have seemed like they 'took in' Simba because he could ward off predators, but if you look at both Lion King 1 1/2 and Lion Guard they care very much of their adopted son, and were super sad to see him gone
With Kiara and Kovu as mates, the way they are connected with Kopa and Vitani can mean that Kopa and Vitani become mates as well. I love the idea of Kopa and Vitani being mates, just like Kiara and Kovu are mates. And imagine Kopa getting to know his brother Kion.

I think I would have to say Kion is my favorite. Knowing he would never be king of pride rock never bothered him he was happy to just be defending the pride lands as leader of the lion guard and when he came back from the tree of life and saw a new lion guard had formed and what they were capable of he had the wisdom to relinquish his leadership of the lion guard which I think was of the best moved he could make. While he was a great defender of the pride lands and leader of lion guard his true place was the tree of life even without the roar kion is still very accomplished
Kion had a choice and he chose to abandon his own family and I’m on your side Kion made the right decision because his family (Mostly his Sister) Never loved him.

I think, TLK world has alternate geography and history. This can also explain, why on the journey to tree of life lion guard passed so many locations

I thought Askari was Mohatu's son. And was a leader during the reign of Ahadi and Uru, then gave the roar to Scar. "The one who is able to give up the roar, completely master it" is not just so he says it. A clear hint that at one time Askari also gave a roar to the next (Scar)

I don't know what novels there are to this franchise and which ones are canon and non-canon, nor do I know how to find them. So I had no clue of the backstory of pre-Mufasa. This video changed that. Now I just gotta go watch the Lion Guard.
I love Askari's design. He has black eyes like a real lion, and he presumably comes from so far in the past lions were still somewhat feral and not antropomorphized like we see during Simba's reign.

I want a video telling Aladdin's full story, because I want know more about his past of struggle to survive in the streets of Agrabah, and because will be fun and cool to tell Aladdin's transition from a street rat to a Prince and become heir to the throne of Agrabah alongside his beloved Princess Jasmine.
I like to think that Kion wasn't turning bad due to the cobra's venom. While the venom did hurt, most of Kion's changes came through him growing up. Since he was getting older, he often had mood swings like usual teenagers do, and the anxiety of potentially becoming like Scar made Kion anxious and defensive. However unlike Scar, Kion had friends who helped him to pull himself together.
It makes sense that the poison is the metaphor for puberty. And healing it-the metaphor for growing up. Every kids story, since fairy tales, was always an allegory for growing up and dealing with life as an adult, it's the way to prepare a kid subconciously, the very upbringing being the conscious part of the job.

It's hard to pick a favorite but serabi holds a special place in my heart. However if I solely look at simba side, I've always loved kiara the most ^^ I even named our cat kiara ^^

Kopa is technically not a real disney character. He wasn't made by disney and that's why he doesn't exist in the lion king universe. Most fans include him anyway because they like the idea of Simba having a long lost son.

I think that if there is to be a fourth Lion Guard season, it is to be another spin-off of the show, where it includes Simba's son Kion, his friends, and the Night Pride of the Tree of Life. Even so, it will also feature Vitani's Lion Guard as well as they, like Kion and his friends as the previous Lion Guard, face new adventures.

**Fan Theory:**
If Mufasa instead of having Simba as his first born, had Kiara as _his_ daughter (not Simba's), Scar never would had bothered to kill Mufasa. He'd just be sweet on Kiara - which tbch, she'd be sweet on him first perhaps? Which would be cute/catch him off guard. Either way he'd marry her and all would have been well and Scar might of actually been redeemed. (It's not his fault his parents are terrible and called him "trash" who never actually loved about him..)
Kirara would had defiantly filled him w genuine love and sugar and nurtured the good in him. (after all he DID save someone's life and also ADOPTED a child as his own and named him heir, so he's not actually _that_ heartless)
Also if Scar x Kiara did marry, I feel Kovu would have been their son instead? I mean, look at him- He in fact does look like he's the Child of Kiara & Scar, doesn't he? Sorta creepy that she's paired with someone who looks like her would-be child ^^;;;

Wonder why they didn't make a sequel or a prequel at least?
Note: Forgot to mention, my favourite member in Simba's family is Kion. Why? Because he is blessed with powers and great fighting skills for his protection and his family and friends.
The last 2 episodes of The Lion Guard are the closest to thing we have to a sequel. I still hope for a (hopefully Theatrical) sequel.

How could Wotso forget to add Timon and Pumbaa? They were the ones that rescued an orphaned Simba and raised him as their own child, even if it was a very tough and tiring job they managed to raise a lion to adulthood 😭 If that doesn't give them a place in the family tree I don't know what else will
I came up with a scenario where Timon uses his status as Simba’s adopted father to make him King Dowager (or whatever the male equivalent of Queen Dowager is).
In this case I didn't put Timon and Pumbaa on the family tree because they only kind of allude to them being father figures for Simba, but I did make sure to mention that they did play an important role in his life
It may have seemed like they 'took in' Simba because he could ward off predators, but if you look at both Lion King 1 1/2 and Lion Guard they care very much of their adopted son, and were super sad to see him gone

With Kiara and Kovu as mates, the way they are connected with Kopa and Vitani can mean that Kopa and Vitani become mates as well. I love the idea of Kopa and Vitani being mates, just like Kiara and Kovu are mates. And imagine Kopa getting to know his brother Kion.

I think I would have to say Kion is my favorite. Knowing he would never be king of pride rock never bothered him he was happy to just be defending the pride lands as leader of the lion guard and when he came back from the tree of life and saw a new lion guard had formed and what they were capable of he had the wisdom to relinquish his leadership of the lion guard which I think was of the best moved he could make. While he was a great defender of the pride lands and leader of lion guard his true place was the tree of life even without the roar kion is still very accomplished
Kion had a choice and he chose to abandon his own family and I’m on your side Kion made the right decision because his family (Mostly his Sister) Never loved him.
