I remember no one caring about that performance at that time, people would criticize his efficiency even though he was facing a box and 1. But it's good to go back to this performance, a trully underrated game
they say curry could not do what harden did when harden was alone but he actually did it ,in the finals,vs kawhi and a box and 1 defense and ended with 47 on better efficiency. in the end it proved kobes statement:that solo and hero ball does not work in the playoffs,mj needed help, kobe needed help, steph and bron needed help, batman needs his robin
Curry averaging 30 on 60 TS% VS a box and one , constant doubles and triples, off screen zone pressure, all while having some of the worst spacing surrounding him with Klay off the floor , no klay /kd , cousins playing on one leg, iggy hamstring injury mid series, Looney literally playing with a broken back, injuries robbed us from witnessing a 3-peat in modern sports
@@6figures300 Basically a 4 man zone with one guy man2man. If you are big enough you can receive a pass at the free-throw line and can create lots of plays for yourself or the team (with the double team). Similar to Jokic and Luka. Box and 1 is only effective against a guard like Trae and Curry.
@benny_Boi5 They took Boston to 7 games in the semifinals without Kawhi and still had their main core together and could've matched up better with Miami in the conference finals. I think you're onto something here for sure 💪

I think the most underrated series for steph was ironically his 2015 finals. Like goddamn, he had 1 bad game and was tremendous althroughout yet they called delly the curry stopper and steph was snubbed for that FMVP lol
Steph has been overlooked because of the LBJ clown show. But this is his era, and he is the MJ of this generation. He was feared like MJ, he changed the game like MJ, he prevented other teams from winning championships (Could’ve won more if it wasn’t for Draymond and other factors) like MJ, Started a new shoe trend in Under Armor (MJ with Nike then his Jordans) like MJ, and everyone wants to play like him just like MJ. There are many more reasons but give Curry his flowers and attention rather than LBJ. My opinion
@johnt2831 Respect, Toronto was able to get back into game 2 in large part because of it. They had a large + in the +\- while implementing it throughout the series as well. It may be a “middle school tactic” but it did work. Also shows how great Curry is to demand that 😤
@@joshcarsonjc3 Listen, Steph Curry is my favorite player ever. I was torn because I am also a Raptors fan as well, and felt that the city of Toronto needed this championship. But I will always root for Steph Curry, he is a Brother that a big heart. On and off the court. My only point was that it worked on NBA players, so what does that say that a middle school tactic worked on them?
It only worked because the other two shooters were also out and Steph had no one contributing that he could pass to. Plus Kerr was outhit ideas and counters.
@@joshcarsonjc3I know the polls suggest that you should focus on 2019 as the most underrated Finals performance from Stephen Curry. Can you also cover the 2017 Finals performance? Overall, I enjoy your work keep going.💪

Harden almost pulled it off. He was the definition of scary during those years.

A really underrated game for Steph in the finals.
Curry easily the GOAT PG🔥
Your videos are so refreshingly entertaining. It's one of the best channels on TH-cam for me.
@librarycollection3795 Really appreciate this feedback, thank you for tuning in! 🙏
Honestly if he hit that game winner in game 6 and take the series to 7 games, it’ll be entirely different story
@michaelyue6548 Got such a good look too 🤷♂️
@@joshcarsonjc3facts bro I thought it was gonna be knock down to much pressure on my guy he was already shooting lights out that game
Curry is a Bad Man all the time. Curry is cooking all of them Lol.
Steph Curry get a box in one, something that never happen to Lebron James
It’s never happened to anyone but Steph wym goofy 😂😂😂😂😂
Its because nobody that is Steph's height and weight, ever this good. You can't do that to Luka or Lebron cause they will just post you up.
@@diwanthegreat this is the DUMBEST explanation i ever heard.... do you know what a box and 1 defense does bro.... posting up is NOT saving you

Honestly I think that if the 2019 Raptors had stayed together in 2020 they would have won the championship.

People forget both KD and Klay were out. Steph had to handle the whole offensive load and a quadruple team.

Player used to go at Steph back when KD was on the team.
only reason that was forgotten is cause they lost, had they won it would have been a different story
The moment I remember strongly was Curry diving on the floor for a loose ball while his team was letting him down.
