Great Video! Watching your videos is how I keep my car running smoothly. I would like to see a video on how to do the bushings on the same exact car. Please and thank you!! If I can figure out how to do that it would save me 4000 dollars
You didn't loosen the fill cap on the reservoir before compressing the cylinders? I've blown up a reservoir from the pressure of compressing the cylinders, forcing all that extra brake fluid back up into the reservoir.
I have experienced these bolts on my audis. I suggest going to home depot or harbor freight and getting a socket rail of both Allen keys and torx. They are metric. Tools last forever and whatever money you spend on tools to do it yourself is cheaper than a mechanic.
Brakes are brakes. Couple bolts, caliper compression and replacement. It's the same general process no matter what year edge or even brand car. This one was a 2014 though.
That caliper compressor was not quite right for that application as you could see with a dual piston if you push one in, the other has a tendency to pop back out again. You can use the old brake pad to cover both pistons which will make it easier. Also I wouldn't gloss over the lubrication of the carrier bolts through the caliper. Super important. it was good to see you tackle this, good luck on the videos! (You should try a Audi A6 (C5) with the dual front calipers... talk about different.)
Hey man thanks for the valuable feedback and tips! I will most certainly try to incorporate that into the next video when I do the rear. Comments like this help me continue to learn as I go. Thank you very much!
Would have liked to hear you talk through the whole process.
Noted for next time. Thanks.

Thanks for the support! I haven't had to do bushings on this yet but if I do, I'll definitely post it!
Great video. I definitely agree nobody needs to be scared to change their own breaks. Such an easy fix and you save alot of money.
Very informative. That's a saver indeed. Thanks
C-clamp and the old brake pad for the compression...keeps it equal
That's a great tip! Thank you for sharing that! I will be using that one in the future.

Hi and thanks for your comment. I did not. I've never done that in my jobs, but might be something I do goong forward for precaution. Thanks!
Instead of hex head bolts my 2016 Ford Edge has Allen bolts. Have you encountered this before? Any idea what size allen wrench I need.

Thank you brother ✊🏾
Glad to help! Hope it worked out for you too
You make it so easy and save money on it too
Thank you for this
I am going to do it myself and share the video with you if it works 😂🤣😂
Always looking to learn!
Sure would be nice if you posted the year of the Edge as they change every few years.

Great video and so real on the stealership aka dealership.

Well said
You need a year of what specific Ford Edge you are referring to in the description.
I don't think so. They don't change very much. Brakes are brakes for the most part.
if youre still around would like to know the exact jacking point you used to raise the front. TIA
You can use the chassis. You're better off googling it for a visual.
I would add sanding down the hub and adding a small amount.of.anti seize. Makes it was for.next.time.
Thanks for the tip Ron! Always looking to learn more
