Hi,On the rear brakes Do you have to line the grove on piston with the knob on the pad or piston itself will adjust if we dont line it what happens thanks.
This may be the most thorough and clear repair video I have ever watched. I like the way you take your time to explain. Lost of useful tips for a amateur repair guy like myself. Thanks!
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Westin Kamari thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you for the video. I wouldn't have known to clean off the areas or changing the hardware kit. Also didn't know about greasing everything because I'm a newbie at this. Thank you for saving me a couple hours of headache!
I have a 2007 ford edge and the the stretch fit belt needs replaced. Will turning the drive pulley to put the belt on mess up the timing of the engine ?
Something important to remember that was not mentioned here during the video. I discovered on the Ford Edge there are two different front rotor sizes shown for replacement. One is a 296MM front rotor diameter and the other is a 320MM front rotor diameter. I think it has to do with if the Edge is a front wheel drive as opposed to an all wheel drive version but I'm not sure if that's the case. Make certain you measure the diameter of your front rotors before purchasing the parts. It could save a return trip to the parts store. Also, there are torque specs on the wheel lug nuts as well as the other places he mentioned. A vehicle never leaves my shop unless the lug nuts are torqued to spec as well.
I even learned from Jim when the brake pad accidentally fell off the bracket: it’s easier to place the brake pads with the bracket in place. I was having trouble with the pads falling out until I put them in after bolting the bracket in place.
That was a nice job, and I enjoyed watching what you had done. The part which had me panicked the first time I changed the brake pads on one vehicle was having the brake pedal go to the floor when pressed the first time. After pressing the brakes about 5 times I found that they was now working fine.
Very thorough video. Thanks
Very nice. Professionalism.
Excellent ! Thank you for this.
Really enjoyed the easy to follow instruction with the visual to see as well. Thank you very much it made my job on my vehicle easier.
Excellent tutorial Jim. I like how you kept it simple. Thank you
