Pentland Javelin seed potatoes in grow bags

- Planted out 8 Pentland Javelin seed potatoes in three grow bags and an 8 inch pot! I used a blend of commercially available compost, my own vermicompost, a pinch of seaweed meal and a dollop of blood fish and bone. As a little experiment I planted the smallest seed potato in an 8 inch pot as I don't have any 10 inch pots.

I think your soil blend looks amazing! I am looking forward to the results you will have in all those. I have yet to be very creative with my potatoes, I just have a patch that I layer with garden scraps, compost, leaves, and the like. This year though, I may have to mix it some because it got rather buried when Patrick was digging out the section for the chicken coop. I have been working on it between the near constant rain showers we get this time of year.
Great to see you back bud!! Mrs. Worms did well on the shopping trip, Mrs. Grumpy would not even look for them :) I keep looking at the grow bags so I may try some out this year

I WAS wondering about you . .. & been Praying for you to....so sorry for your loss, but GLAD you're BACK! & interesting enough we to lost a Cousin (43 yrs old & to the FLU) && we threw ourselves into working on the Garden & we to PLANTED Potatoes ( ours were from last year's Crop & store bought ones that went to seed..... we shall see & of course continued prayers ,& sending you a viral HUG to you & yours.

I don't know if you're like this but I used to be able to sleep on a bed of nails but the older I get the more I want my own bed lol. I never seem to sleep quite as well anywhere else so it was heaven to be home in my own bed again. Family are all coping and doing well considering.

i say i could fall asleep on a picket fence but now i'm like you. i can remember as a kid sleeping just fine away from home but i don't want to be away from my own bed now when it's time to go to sleep. funny how that works. just like it's always nice to visit but nicer to go home.lol! or is it nice to have visitors but nicer when they leave???

Welcome back Mr Worms. I bought some 10" pots (112" deep) from Morrisons , 8 for 99p. If you look in the area where the fresh cut flowers are (not the gardening section) you should see them. They are the pots the fresh cut flowers are delivered to the store in. Can't go wrong with 8 pots for 99p can you? I'm sure other supermarkets do the same. Looking forward to the worm updates.
