So you skipped climbing glove got to a situation were climbing gloves are useful *and used a rope*

Long term climbing gloves in a run are detrimental because they slow you down and you will grab walls when you just want to fall, especially when you have a jetpack. I'd rather have a jetpack with no gloves than a jetpack with gloves. I did end up picking one up later in this run, but in general I still don't want to pick them up because it messes with your muscle memory quite often, or gives you another thing to think about and work around when you're speedrunning/just playing the game
