Incredible looking figure IMO. I too agree this black chrome looks very wet/slick. For me I prefer this than the original but both are great figures.

I think the reaching kind of hand is supposed to look like Batman grabbing someones collar or something as a taunt. Idk really :D
With him standing so far back on the base you could use the grasping right hand to interact with Superman on the same stand, say grabbing Superman by the throat for example. That may well be what it's designed for.

Got this figure today, LOVE IT!
Now he stands besides Mark 43, StarLord, Wolverine and Captain Murica.
the shoulder strap in the film is for holding his grenade launcher. Hot Toy's didn't supply it with a holster or attachment system, although there is something you can do to achieve this purpose which I cleverly came up with and demonstrated in my unboxing video, so check it out.

Idk why they called it black chrome, it's more of a slick, matte black color. It's really an incredible figure, but I prefer the original one IMO, just because that one is more metallic, this one looks too plasticy IMO
Because chrome is just a type of coating. I like both versions but i prefer this one because it has a wet look

I know there are a lot of options out there, in terms of reviewers, for people to watch. I want to make sure i cover as much as i possibly can for my viewers. Even if these figures ultimately don't fit into MY collection, i know that doesn't mean that others won't like them.

Armored Batman is the scene that i enjoy the most from Batman VS Superman : Down Of Justice the figure is amazing i wish i can see this Armored again in Justice League ( 2017 ) nice Review optibotimus , Batman VS Superman : Down Of Justice is my favorite DC Batman / Superman Movie . I was a Fan Of DC and Marvel but i chose DC Justice League is better than The Avengers .

Have to monitor ebay for anyone selling the stand from the regular armored edition. This one looks cool but is too bulky and I want to keep the continuity with the Superman and Knightmare Batman I have.

I have this pre-ordered but got an email from Sideshow this wasn't coming out until Nov-Dec 2016, Thanks for the review BTW. Wish the figures had more articulation but I still think it's awesome. I like this color because it looks like a suit Batman would wear so that he could face superman and still be able to hide and strike from the shadows.

The original armored Batman is much much better, but tbh this one is still really good...its just not accurate at all, and i love the more beat up or more real look of the original armored Batman a lot more

optibotimus the suit is not a black chrome like that in the movie, its a dark grey so its not accurate
It is dark gray, BUT as i explained, this paint job is done to replicate how it looked while it was raining. Which makes dark gray look darker in color, closer to black. It also gives a slick, wet look to the suit. Both are accurate really
optibotimus yes i know you explained it, but its still your personal way of seeing it, because i personally dont see it like that, to me the armor does not have a black chrome color in the movie just because its wet, it looks like a dark grey armor, but wet...and thats totally ok if you prefer the black chrome version, because it does look badass...thats not even a question
All im saying is, its not accurate since the movie armor is a dark grey, and the reason why it looks different is mostly because of the lighting they used in that specific scene, and the rain..but its still clearly a dark grey color to me
Its just that accuracy is extremely important to me, ive been collecting for over 35 years and many things from my collection are actual props from movies, so if a piece has a completely different color, it not accurate to me
But again, its a really great figure and i might grab one down the road, but i still prefer the original armored Batman, thats all :)
Oh and by the way, that was an excellent review, great job!

The ACTUAL suit is gray. I'm not disputing that. But as it shows in the movie, like in real life, when dark gray gets wet, it gets a darker color. Like what is shown here. Water also creates a look of something being wet lol the chrome does that IMO. So the look for the paint on this suit, is accurate to the scene. But whatever. I already said we're both basically right.

This, as well as the vast majority of figure I review i buy. On occasion i get some given to me for review. Sometimes Sideshow, if the figure is created by them, will let me have one for review purposes. Hot Toys however, because it isn't a Sideshow product, they can't give it to me and Hot Toys doesn't deal with me directly. So to answer your question...yes i buy this stuff

My comments:
1) The eye-light battery compartment and 3 batteries themselves are ridiculously tiny! I have smallish hands and fingers and it was all I could do to unscrew the microscrew (PH00) holding the cover in place...but aligning the 3 micro batteries without launching them into infinity was all but impossible. Having the on/off switch under the head is the epitome of stupid design.
2) As shown, the hands pop off very easily and are NOT EASY to reset properly.
3) This is virtually a statue from the waist up.
4) Yes, the stand looks cheap and is another example of poor design. Why not include a "drawer" underneath the stand to hold all the extra parts?
5) WTF does one do with the tiny grenades? They don't seem to fit securely in the launcher and are easily lost.
The name would be cooler if it was iron bat
