By his own admission he made some pragmatic political decisions rather than stick to his principles - most notable being his embracing of Palin as a running mate. He did ultimately admit these faults and accept they were moral lapses, but being sorry after the event can only get you so far. He was an uber-Hawk sure, but that was clearly because of a genuine commitment to a certain ideology and belief in America, not just through hatred or greed. a nice contrasting eulogy from Larry Fitzgerald. He did a very good job of putting his unlikely friendship with John McCain in perspective. He made you understand how McCain could reach out to a vast number of people from all walks of life. Whether you are a highly decorated athlete like Fitzgerald or just a common man McCain has touched your life in some way. Most federal politicians don't have that ability....McCain, as Fitzgerald depicted, did. Thank you Fitz!
