  • Gary Endacott has run four New York marathons and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. But according to Gary no mountain compares to the quest of finding meaningful work as a disabled person.
Born with Cerebral Palsy, Gary is the son of rugby league legend and coach Frank Endacott. Gary credits his parent’s no-nonsense upbringing with giving him the grit to never give up on a goal. After a decade of packing boxes for a living, Gary now has a unique role within the Ministry of Education, using his own life experiences to mentor kids with disabilities and helping them to navigate the ups and downs of life and school.

Mr. Gary, I'm 45; I just want to say, thank you for being a voice, for people with disabilities. I have cerebral palsy, as well, but I'm in a wheelchair. People like you, are so uplifting. Thanks for sharing your story.

My husband has Cerebral palsy. We fell in love in 2017 and got married in 2020. We are expecting of first child this year in November. I have so many worries but my husband chooses and proves everyday that he is a rock and capable. I’m soo proud of him. I enjoy seeing this video. Very inspiring

I was surprised no one else commented about this. Good on her though. Some are lucky to have a loving family, it's often easy to overlook things like that.

My life correlates with yours with our supporting stern parents and the teasing etc. I think your job is needed all overr the world. I'm 55 and have CP. Was a LPN but became disabled due to my lungs and other medical issues. You are such an inspiration.

    Hi Gary
I think your great when people Imitate let them you can use your middle finger or ignore no doubt in my opinion you’ve probably got a better paying job a lot more meaningful than there’s.
    Good luck 🇮🇪👍

I think the young man in the Walker needs to work on upper body as well as using the Walker because if your legs don't work you need upper body strength to be able to hold on to but welcome your arms have to be strong my advice to someone who has a physical disability and has to use crutches or a walker and gets a motorized wheelchair or scooter is to do both don't be to Reliant on the wheelchairs or the scooter because you lose upper body strength and might have to lift weights to regain the strength back into your arms and upper body it happened to me I walked on crutches most of my life you have to do both don't be lie too much on riding around in the chair lift as much weights as you possibly can if you can do push-ups it's even better
